Terrible coffee - just go elsewhere - this firm is an example of the independent emperor having absolutely no clothes. The town needs a Starbucks if this is the best Aldeburgh can do!

What a lovely meal. Thank you for hosting my family group of eight for Sunday lunch. The service was attentive and prompt with all requests covered. I had the pork roast it was perfectly done with some excellent trimmings. Around the table everyone else was happy too. Desserts went down well and lived up to the billing on the menu. An excellent experience.

What a fantastic find - I have walked along Aldeburgh sea front so many times and not once noticed Sea Spice. The food was fantastic, by far the best Indian restaurant in Suffolk. The staff were very polite and the decor was modern, making it perfect for a special occasion. It is also good value for money. The only reason I marked it down slightly is because the service was really slow. It took a long time before our order was taken. We also ran out of drinks a few times and I had to get up to go ask a waiter to order so more. I suggest that the front of house staff need to be a bit more attentive in checking on the guests.

This is our local Nero and we go in at least four times a week. The staff are always very friendly both to people and their dogs! The coffee is 👍 as is the selection of pastries and savouries. It’s a good place to relax and chat or just sit and read a paper. Five stars.

Weekend visit, quiet pub, chosen because reviews spoke of good wholesome food backed up with photos of cod and chips Burgers, Only to find the options were breakfast only. Landlord/ barman seemed less than enthusiastic about the prospect of serving food as the kitchen was closing in “half an hour” but we were reluctantly served a breakfast. We noted other meals carried past contained black pudding while ours did not and noted other tables were served chips while we were told “we only do Breakfast’s!” In all it was ok but not a welcoming establishment and nothing particularly special. Wouldn’t return or recommend it but if it’s raining at least it’s dry inside.

We booked this top rated restaurant for my wife’s birthday, Very very disappointed with this visit, had a booking at 2pm, the pub had been open 2 hours and was told they had run out of the Pork roast, with such a small menu choice we were very unhappy, Cauliflower cheese was like glue. Service was very slow and no one cared, owner (Brendan) was floating around asking regulars if they had a good time, didn’t check with our table, think he would have had a detrimental answer. Shame, had high hopes, will not return.

Food was ok, service a little slow, no one asked if our food was ok once it was served (don’t they teach waiting staff these things). Service charge was automatically charged which I don’t agree with especially if the “service” was a little lacking but also on our bill was a £2.95 for something listed as WET? I asked what this was for but got a very vague reason. All 8 friends have said they won’t be going again.

Greek night. Staff and entertainment superb. Food great except the portions were far too small. Our party left hungry which is not good where you have paid £35 per head.

Nice food and service but £27 plus tips for a bowl of linguine is too much, even for an upmarket restaurant/pub in a posh location.

Well situated at the top of the town. The room was ok for the price paid, but the hotel is in need of some refurbishment as it's a bit tired. The staff were pleasant but a bit thin on the ground at times.

George and Sam served us last night, they were brilliant, attentive, professional, friendly and made the whole experience fun. Sadly this restaurant is closing down this weekend to make way for a new development. We wish all the team well.

A early special deal mini break no complaints 👌 I must however give a massive shout out to our server Vanessa for making our breakfast experience an absolute joy 😊
