From the moment you are greeted here everyone is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is nicely relaxed. Every memeber of staff goes more than the measured mile to ensure that diners are happy and are enjoying the meal. We were staying at the hotel and dined here for five nights in a row during which we enjoyed a wonderful variety of lovely, sea-fresh fish - Lemon Sole, Skate Wing, Hake, Megrim Sole and Sea Bream. There was also Whitebait to enjoy and, a new favourite, the Salt and Pepper Squid Tapas. A meal here is leisurely as everything is cooked to order - don't expect "instant" service - it is worth the wait. Breakfast is also good and plentiful both hot and cold ... bring a good appetite - portions are generous!

Wanted coffee and cake went inside was told table service explained two were sitting outside. So would like a table for three. Which a harassed woman said oh upstairs well I have a bad knee so did not follow. When she returned I said can’t we sit here two tables were available but we would need to move a chair oh no she said. It was only having coffee and cake. So unobliging no customer service. I would dread to see her on a really busy day.

Well what a fab pub, very friendly and the food was exceptional. We were staying just across the road from the pub, so very handy to go in early evening for food. Maddie and Jim are very good hosts and made us feel very welcome. A perfect pint also says my husband. Would love to go again when in the area. Love Gill and Pete. Xx

Best meal I've had in Suffolk, by a long way! The waiters, waitresses and chefs all do such a good job, the food is high quality and really well cooked. A brilliant pub! A small room for improvement would be to have allergies on the menus if possible, but the staff were really on it and answered any questions immediately so had no impact on my meal. Thank you Greyhound Inn, a very special pub!

Asked to speak to the manager after an appalling meal, plates came up cold, lager was flat, sheek kebab which was meant to be grilled in a tandoori, was just microwaved mush, mixed vegetable bhaji had very under cooked hard veg, chicken Jalfrezi was amateurish and very unappealing, naan bread cold and not white, puffy and slightly blackened from the tandoor, do they actually have one? Fish dish covered in green slime and to top off such an expensive meal, cheap paper serviettes! Non Indian manager was interested to hear my comments but ultimately dismissive as so many of their customers say the food is so good ! 😅

Had been in several times but not for a while, ordered our meals but where waiting 20 mins or more then told was out of steak so ordered a different meal which came up a tiny amount ( small ) child size) I’ve had this before ( chicken tikka) and was more than twice the size, and the nann bread was brittle, so what has happened here

Our initial contact with the person serving was difficult as thier English language skills were very poor, but after a few minutes another member stepped in to successfully and professionally take our order which was ready quite quickly and as usual the food was great!

Spectacular beef brisket, these guys have a chef who knows how to cook... Moist, flaky, absolutely delicious. Family all happy with their respective orders as well, two ploughman's, a burger, a ham, eggs and chips and a rack of ribs, all done to perfection. Staff are all friendly and welcoming, lovely place to go for a meal, but would advise booking first.
