Lovely food, I would recommend the beef brisket with horseradish mash, delicious. My visit was at lunchtime midweek so the bar area where I ate accompanied by my dog was empty except for myself.

Food was amazing, I don’t think I’ve eaten better pub food in my entire life. 5/5 must come. Great selection of drinks and very friendly staff. Food could’ve come a bit faster but everything else was so amazing it had to be 5 stars. Would definitely recommend anyone in the area eating here.

We stayed at the nearby Colston hall which was a lovely place to stay but a little too far to walk and no taxis were available as a drive. The White Horse Inn had great reviews was two minutes away and there is a great selection on the menu. We had the roasted halibut and the duck, the mussels, the pork crackling and the Goats cheese as a starter. The menus was a nice change from standard Pub food and it was all excellent! Prices were very reasonabletoo.

This used to be a lovely old pub. We visited often for Sunday Lunch, when the place was buzzing and the food was fine. New owners have sanitised the inside and the atmosphere is gone. We went for Thursday dinner and there were few customers in the restaurant. The service was haphazard and the food only adequate. A shame.

Good food at a good price and a full plate. Don't like to leave food so serving could of been a little smaller and I would not of struggled to finish which could of also meant slighly cheaper. Only had the one course of fish and chips plus mushy peas. Nice atmosphere but if popular when weather cools inside may feel a little cramped.

We thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu stop at The White Horse Inn on our way home from an afternoon at the beach. Staff all very welcoming and smiley/friendly. Largeish garden with plenty of outside seating. Dogs welcome, although only in the bar side or outside areas..doggy biscuits available for your waggy friend/s. Water bowl also available for dogs. Food was excellent - highly recommend the fish pie; the cheesy potato topping was delicious. Great find. They're a chain, so other inns from the group yet to be sampled/visited.

We stayed for two nights in the shepherds hut and would recommend to anyone. The hut itself had all the amenities you’d hope for plus more, the breakfast hamper is a great addition with lovely produce and great portions. The hut was clean, quiet, comfy bed and the decor was really nice. It has outdoor seating with table. The location is a great base for exploring the local towns (I recommend a trip to southwold) but you will need a car as there isn’t much in the town of badingham itself, and no shops in walking distance. The pub on site is excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming - and the food is great! It’s not a super lively pub so you still get peace and quiet in your hut in the evenings but has a great atmosphere in the afternoons. Would love to visit again!

A lovely old country pub/restaurant with lovely garden seating for the good weather. Four of us went for Sunday lunch. Table booked, all OK. However, three of us had the beef Sundsy roast, which was very disappointing, very chewy. We had a family get-together at the White Horse last Saturday (22nd June), a lovely old country pub. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My wife and l were on holiday in the area and we enjoyed our previous meal so much we made a return visit a few days later. Once again, we enjoyed an excellent meal, our waitress was very friendly chatting about our holiday and the shepherd's huts accommodation inviting us to have a look if we were interested. My wife had a steak on both occasions, and it was cooked exactly to her liking each time. My beef and ale rosemary suet pudding on our 1st visit and cod loin on our 2nd were both very tasty. There is a lovely beer garden at the front of the pub and as is was a very pleasant evening we finished our drinks there before heading off. We holiday every year in the area, and we will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

I had the beer battered prawns for starters which had a really crispy batter and the prawns were soft, not hard like some places. Then the pork belly which was beautiful. It is rolled and slow cooked with a rich gravy. My wife had the pork balls for starters which were in a really tasty mustard sauce. The beef suet pie was outstanding. I really could not fault what we had. Thank you to all the staff for making this a wonderful return to the White Horse. We will be back.

On a Thursday night, while we were staying in the area, we originally planned to go to the Dennington Queen for an early dinner but they couldn't fit us even though it was almost empty (they had 'later bookings'). This was probably fortunate because we moved on to the White Horse and they greeted us warmly, we could not have felt more welcome. The restaurant is a lovely old room with plenty seating although there is also the option to sit outside in a well tended garden. We shared a starter, a generous portion of fat whitebait, followed by lambs liver and chicken supreme, both main meals were delicious. The sauce with the chicken supreme was marvellous with a background flavour of chorizo oil (it just worked). The lambs liver had been gently cooked and was still soft with a pink middle just as it should be. To drink I had some good cask beer and my wife had an inexpensive but fresh tasting New Zealand sauvignon. Overall a very enjoyable meal, recommended.

Have to say that we were attracted by the current 50% off ‘mains’. That meant we turned a 2 course meal in to a 3 course – at least for me. It was all good – service – just right with a personal touch; food – lovely being wholesome, tasty and nutritious; general ‘feeling’ – comfortable. I loved the peach crumble with plenty of custard – massive! Looking forward to a repeat.

Another great Sunday lunch visit. Roast beef was tasty, cauliflower cheese was very cheesy, lovely! And red cabbage was a nice surprise as not too sweet as can be sometimes, good choice! ‘Special’ pigeon starter was not bad, maybe a touch too much beetroot purée and as that was cold the pigeon wasn’t that hot. But very tasty nonetheless! Staff attentive but not intrusive. Only down side was we were near the door and unfortunately a fair few people came through to use the facilities who were obviously born in a barn or oblivious to the fact that the cold air was blowing through. We did get up a few times to shut the doors, and the staff were kind enough to offer us another table. Well worth another visit, we need to try the weeknight menu!

Last minute booking for Sunday lunch as we had the urge for a roast. Having tried a number of others in the area we wanted to try somewhere new. Lovely place, great decor and spacious dining area, tables not close together and huge! We had starters which were great, home made, tasty and plentiful. Probably just a me thing, I had the terrine and felt it was overwhelmed with the mound of mustard seeds on it as garnish. Not a problem as I just moved them to one side. Roast beef was lovely and pink, and plentiful, veg was lovely (I’m a sucker for red cabbage), Yorker was a bit doughie but still tasty, but the best bit for me was the roasties which were pretty damn good, and the lovely gravy! Shame no cauli cheese but can’t win them all. Huge portions too so be prepared. Great place, great food, will be back!

Had been in several times but not for a while, ordered our meals but where waiting 20 mins or more then told was out of steak so ordered a different meal which came up a tiny amount ( small ) child size) I’ve had this before ( chicken tikka) and was more than twice the size, and the nann bread was brittle, so what has happened here

Having had several lovely visits for a morning coffee, visited last week to be told that they only do cold drinks? Very disappointed.

Best meal I've had in Suffolk, by a long way! The waiters, waitresses and chefs all do such a good job, the food is high quality and really well cooked. A brilliant pub! A small room for improvement would be to have allergies on the menus if possible, but the staff were really on it and answered any questions immediately so had no impact on my meal. Thank you Greyhound Inn, a very special pub!

We were visiting Felixstowe for the day and wanted fish and chips for lunch. After searching on Google for Fish bars near me we found Felix’s and we were not disappointed. I called ahead to place our order as it was close to lunch time closing and The owner was very accommodating and even advised me of his offer of free Curry sauce/mushy peas with medium fish and chip meal. The meal was cooked fresh for us and we enjoyed our meal in the sunshine out the front of the shop. Absolutely delicious. Thanks so much 😊 highly recommended

Great food and venue. Went for a family meal on a Friday night and quality is high at a reasonable price. Good atmosphere throughout and all staff extremely friendly.
