The food very delicious,my favourite the roasted duck

Food was great, especially the shredded crispy beef & the salt pepper ribs!

Person on the phone was rude, rice was burnt and tasted horrible and the beef curry tasted bland

I have reviewed this takeaway before however todays experience was very poor. I hve always found the food good but today was a total letdown . would not recommend.

Great takeaway, food is tasty and arrived hot

The food was undescribable it was so magnificent! I ordered beef chop suey and it was so rich in flavour and there was a generous amount of meat it was my first time trying Chinese and I must say it won't be my last time! I'm so glad I visited China cottage for my first experience of Chinese food! The service was even better than the food in a way! My server was named Georgie if I remember correctly and she was a pleasure to meet! She was so polite and very helpful I hope next time I visit I get to see georgie again! She was very good at explaining the dishes and overall I would say my experience at China cottage was amazing!!! Would definitely recommend to visit or get takeaway!!

Ordered beef curry, hardly any beef, mostly button mushrooms and didnt even taste like curry, chips were awful, seemed they had been re-heated, special fried rice and special chow mein, terrible. A lot of money for £24.30. Wouldn't get a Chinese from them again.

Please avoid them. I wish i could give them Zero. Ordered beef ginger and spring onion. There is hardly any beef. Very tiny portion. Told the lady that i want my food to be spicy, all I received everything full of bbq sauce. Waste of my £20. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

The food when it arrives is undeniably great but the delivery service is rather lackluster, twice we have ordered in the last two weeks; 1st Delivery - Advised it would be within 2hrs at the absolute max, it hadn't arrived within 2 hrs so upon phoning for an update we were advised this would be an extra hour or so before arriving. 2nd Delivery - Advised between 1hr 30mins to 2 hrs after phoning at 18:00 to place the order, calling up at 20:20 to be told we were still a while off and it could be another hour and unfortunately we had to cancel the order. We would expect an update if the delivery is running over an hour late but we had to call both times, it wouldn't put me off using them again but I'd order a good 3-4 hours in advance.

Good quality food. Portion size small. Would expect more quantity even though quality was good for the price.

Food OK but the portions are smaller than other Chinese takeaways in the area and its expensive for what you get..

Sadly very disappointed. Food is ok that wasnt the issue, lady who took the order was very polite and friendly, again not a problem, Personally i found it very expensive and couldnt believe how small the portions were considering the price. Much better value in the area and wont be using ever again.

We had Chinese delivered tonight, it was SO good! Excellent quality, very hot and really tasty! We will definitely be back and would recommend!

Ordered from this chinese at 1835 for me and my girlfriend. I then phoned at 2030 to see when it was going to get here and they said should be there for about 2130. Still not arrived by 2140 so phoned them to be told it was going to be another 50 minutes. I completely understand with covid 19 crisis and having to wait 2 hours but nearly 4 hours for a few dishes is a joke.

Had to give one star unfortunately, rude,expensive and 3/4 potions this was once the best Chinese in felixstowe. A very far fall from the top.

Best sea salt an chilli ribs ever. Never had bad food from here. Highly recommended. Only bad point is they don't take card payments

I've never had any problems with a Chinese from here, & have used it consistently for 15+ years. It's my go-to Chinese Takeaway (& delivery) in the Felixstowe area. All of the dishes have a good flavour, & are cooked perfectly (meat, rice, noodle, seafood, & veg dishes alike). I've never once had a bland dish from this Takeaway, & have tried most of them over the years.... My only complaint would be that they don't tend to answer the phone after 22:30, although they open until 23:00; so make sure you call before then. Also some people report that the size of spring rolls is small in comparison to other Chinese Takaway's, & I must agree. But anyway, if you want nice tasting Chinese food go here.

Certain dishes are amazing but others are poor. Rice dishes are great Currys are great Chow mein is poor Its very hard to buy a full meal from here as certain dishes are scrappy while the currys probably the best in town. Unfortunately theyre probably the most expensive Chinese takeaway in town,you can buy most of the dishes £1-2 cheaper at the other takeaways. On top of that the portions are tiny and they will get smaller and greasier on a busy weekend night. Couple the highest prices (£2.50 for a tiny curry sauce for example) with tiny or scrappy portions takes the cottage out of the game unfortunately,they need to get more realistic with their peices and portions
