I would say that I enjoyed my visit. The menu was basic pub fayre, similarly priced to other similar establishments, which unfortunately now is quite expensive in general. However I do understand that this trade is now a tough one to survive in. One of the waitresses in particular was friendly, the older of the 2. Mini dessert and coffee was pretty good, not as mini as some places which was a nice surprise. Thank you. We all had burgers, this was why my daughter chose to come as she enjoyed the chicken burger on her previous visit.
Always enjoy visiting this proper seaside pub. The ladies who were running it the day we visited were very cheerful and professional and somehow manage to maintain a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere even though it’s a small pub that gets quite busy. Adnams beer and pizza, next door to a fish & chip shop so what’s not to like!

What a find. Real locals pub. Great for kids and dogs too. Excellent fish and chips.
Great service when my toung granddaughter locked herself in the loo!
Would definitely go here again
Having thought we'd spend the day in Suffolk, wandered up and down the high street looking for a place to have breakfast - which was really hard to find (a local independent place that sold more than tea and cake!)
Came across The Chocolate Teapot which looked lovely from the outside and was dog friendly (inside too) 🐾
Staff were attentive, friendly and the food was lovely.
We sat outside (as there were no tables left inside), but it was a lovely day, so it wasn't too cold for February.
Poached eggs on a long thin slice of sourdough bread (cooked in butter or oil) was delicious. Eggs were runny and perfectly made. Also ordered a bacon and egg sandwich, again this was nice. We would certainly return back again.
Thank you The Chocolate Teapot, first time to Aldeburgh and it was a great start to our day.
Always a favourite with my young daughter, especially the toys there are to play with! Delicious cakes, amazing coffee and fabulous milkshakes. And I can’t leave without a box of cakes to take home for later, they’re too good to leave behind!
I live in Woodbridge but use this restaurant for a relaxing night out. The staff are really friendly and appreciate my needs. Being on your own is enough on its own yet alone when you want to go out and enjoy yourself.
Really nice tasty food, well presented, friendly professional waitress. Lovely decor, good atmosphere, reasonably priced.
Would have been a five star, but at 8.05 pm on a Sunday, asked for coffee to finish off the three course meal, to be told, coffee machine had been switched off. There were still other people enjoying their meals in the restaurant. A little disappointing.
