Good pub, personal service, nice food, good events and attention to detail. Wish it was walking distance from home, or that the wife didn’t like a drink too :)

Have stayed here several times but just wanted to say a HUGE THANKYOU to ELLEN for her outstanding service, for her knowledge of her hotel rooms and local area, efficiency in dealing with our booking, follow up correspondence confirming our booking and then cross referencing with the restaurant in pre booking a specially requested table for dining with the restaurant team! This is the sort of service rarely seen by us and for that we sincerely appreciate and thankyou! Thank you also to Hotel Manager Ruby for her email and support for her staff. Excellent 3 course lunch. Relaxed congenial surroundings. Nice staff. Experience enjoyed all the more due to no yapping dogs being fed at tables which so often now seems to be a feature! Thank you.

After my brother and myself visited many care homes and being a carer in one myself I knew that Alice care home was the one. The manager Rachel gave us a tour and was very impressed with her openness and honesty and said her door is always open. On the day of moving our mother who has Alzheimer’s in we were both so nervous how our mum would be. However we needn’t of worried, as our mum was provided with lunch and introduced to other residents while we unpacked her belongings. The activities lead Penny and carer Emily literally couldn’t have been so kind and welcoming which made the transition smooth. It understandably took our mother a little while to settle which is to be expected but the staff were so supportive and caring to us all which reassured us. Everyone of the staff are wonderful and carers Mary-Beth and Jay have both been fantastic. We are so grateful and happy that our mum is in a safe and beautiful home and is being treated with dignity and respect. The activities and facilities are both excellent and my mum says in her own words “everyone here are just so lovely and I’m really happy here” Well done Alice Grange and thank you. Lynn and Stephen
