Blue Salt in Suffolk Coastal

I went last night with a couple of friends (and had been a week ago with my wife). We had the mid-week tomahawk special and added wings, more fries, mac and cheese and onion rings. The steak was perfect and there was plenty of delicious filling food. The Malbec that we got was a great compliment to the steak. This restaurant prides itself nit just on the food but the incredible friendly service. Always made to feel special. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. Hits the spot every time. Thank you

We went to an impromptu dinner last Saturday and what we experienced was a superb dinner reminiscent of last years holiday. As customary we had a selection of starters to share like chilli prawn salad, calamari and a baked mushroom with a smoky flavour ouzzing from the melted cheese. For main i had lamb cutlets cooks to perfection Carol had the roast poussin very good also and the charred brócoli and Asparagus were a great addition. The wine list was ample but we went for a Malbec where else but the Mendoza Valley. Feizan a great host can’t wait to go back and listen to his stories.

Found this restaurant by chance. Have 3 course meal and the food was fantastic. Have ribeye steak and can honestly say it was one of the best steaks we have ever tasted. The puddings were big portions. The customers service was excellent. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Outstanding quality, attentive staff, worth every penny, and it certainly costs a pretty penny at that! Cannot recommend this restaurant more, everything catered for, to perfection!

Usually pornstar martini a lot of places make it so light but this restaurants one was so strong and so amazing. I had 4 of them as a birthday treat to myself and did feel tipsy afterwards :).

Saw this place pop up on Instagram and it looked incredible, I had to try it out. The interior on its own is incredible. Had a couple drinks on the bar then got seated for our meal. The wagyu steak was delusions very nicely cooked. Dessert was very nice and fresh as well I’d definitely come here again. The owner is so sweet he’d come and ask if we needed anything else. The staff are also very friendly. It’s a lovely place to go with friends and family and I’d definitely recommend it 100% Thankyou blue salt for this unforgettable experience

Pre booked a table here for Saturday evening. Service was good. The food was OK, but I do feel that although it's nice, portions sizes are small for an extreme price tag. £5.50 for small amount of mac n cheese. The food offered was too small for the price. The stuffed calamari with salad for the price tag of £19 is too steep. We had a 3 course meal and left hungry.

The service was excellent but sadly the food was only warm, rather than hot, and the plates were cold. The sweet potato fries were served 5 minutes after the meal, but helped to warm up what was left of the meal. Such a shame...

Been to blue salt first time on Valentine’s Day and we were absolutely amazed with the service, quality of the food, range of cocktails that was given. Staff were extra polite and friendly and food was so delicious. Waiter (Rosie) told us there was no gas in the building everything gets cooked on woodfired and smoked oven. The trend more steak which my partner had and I had fillet steak. It was over delicious. They also decorated the restaurant so romantic I haven’t seen any decoration like this in suffolk. Also at exit they were giving out red rose and balloon to all ladies which shows how thoughtful and caring they are to their customers. This is an amazing restaurant and we visit frequently due to the quality of the food and the friendly environment the staff are great and they go above and beyond to make your meal special, they decorated the restaurant perfectly for the evening and made it look beautiful they do a wide range of mains and starters great for everyone including non meat eaters! On exiting the restaurant last night I was given a rose, which every couple received on the way out as well, an amazing exit gift and my little baby boy was given one of the heart balloons to which he absolutely loved!, I would recommend to others!

Some starters not available, was offered a starter with pieces missing for a 50p reduction. Ribeye steaks over cooked, lamb cutlets overcooked. Very disappointing, and very expensive for poor food. The fries were nice. Will not be returning.

Great meal, great atmosphere, very attentive service. My octopus starter, very hard to find in Suffolk, was exceptional. My steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. Menu is diverse and very interesting. I will be back.

We came here for my birthday meal and I was so excited for my first wagyu steak and was really disappointed. The steak came out on a skillet so continued to cook and was cooked differently throughout even though I ordered medium rare. I have never known steak come out on a skillet before and it was pre-cut so continued to cook in seperate strips? Our waitress was really lovely though and when my partner send her steak back she allowed her to order something else. Starters were great too!

Staff were pleasant but didn't understand that white has to be cold so does tap water - no ice to cool it !! Chicken bites were childish overcooked nuggets. My whole baby chicken ok but dry - could do with nandos sauce. I did complain but was questioned that there was ice in the water and the cooler - sorry there was not.

We first visited during their first few weeks open and were back in the area this afternoon for an early dinner, the lady managing the front of house is thoroughly pleasant and friendly, she made us most welcome and stopped to chat with us which was lovely. We simply couldn’t fault the food if we tried, we ordered the ribeye steak & chicken dishes both from the wood oven and think it had the same effect as tandoori food, quickly sealed, succulent dishes. We will most definitely be back for a third visit as soon as we are back in Suffolk.

Visited here for my daughters 21st birthday and wasn’t disappointed. Food was freshly cooked and well presented. Staff were friendly! I had the prawn salad for a starter and daughter had the calamari both were delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Woodbridge 😊

We are regulars anyway, having never ever had a bad meal here. It is our favourite restaurant by far. The staff are always lovely and attentive - they even remember which steak my husband likes and what cocktail I have! I had the lamb cutlets tonight (regularly have the salmon, halloumi burger, stuffed calamari also) and they were absolutely amazing 👏 😋 chips are always perfectly seasoned, the garlic mushrooms are to die for, and husband loves the cowboy steak. The banoffee pie and lemon cheecake on the pudding menu are also favourites. Highly recommend the Yucca cocktail too. We can be fussy about food and service, so you know it's good when we go back time and time again. Just been for husband's birthday meal, and he even got a card and a special pudding. The staff always go the extra mile.

Bad cut of poorly cooked ribeye,I’ve had better at a chain pub! Dinned here with high expectations only to be dissatisfied and underwhelmed. I thought I’d start with the octopus having never tried b4, it was delicious! But the accompanying salad just did not go, iceberg lettuce and balsamic dressing!!! Main I ordered a ribeye with garlic and herb butter, steak lacked seasoning and was stringy and chewy and the herb butter was zesty. Not good, I’ve eaten better steaks at beefeater! Over priced and over rated! Lesson learned

We tried Blue Salt for the first time yesterday evening having been to an early showing of a film at the nearby wonderful Riverside cinema. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was prompt The food (I had the stuffed calamari and my husband ordered the chicken) was delicious and had a real smoky flavour from the grill. The waitress advised that a couple of dessert choices were unavailable as they were in the process of changing their menu. However we were both full up anyway and so skipped dessert this time. We had booked online, although there were plenty of tables as it was early. We will definitely come here again. Thak you Blue Salt team.

We booked a table for our wedding anniversary, we were looking for somewhere special. The ribeye steak was delicious, it just meted in your mouth, just thinking of it now makes my mouth water. The quality of the meat spoke for itself. All the dishes we ordered were well seasoned. Staff were friendly and welcoming, with a passion and knowledge of their menu. Excellent range of quite subtly smoked food here: we both enjoyed the salmon, which came with a good serving of vegetables. Friendly and efficient staff and a good, fairly-priced wine selection.
