Thank you very much for accommodating our large order. Being able to email in the names for the meals made it very easy for us to dish out to everybody. Service and food were both great.

I recently visited Seahawks Fish and Chip Shop, and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food. The fish was perfectly battered and incredibly fresh, complemented by crispy chips that hit the spot. Every bite was delightful, showcasing the skill and care that goes into preparing each dish. The only downside was the slightly longer wait time, but I found it worth it given the deliciousness of the meal. Next time, I plan to order online to make my experience quicker and more convenient. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone craving excellent fish and chips! Highly recommend!

Very disappointed, was told over half an hour wait just for chips as they had a big order,, so obviously online orders are more important than actually making the effort of actually going in the shop, won't be making that mistake again.

Absolute rubbish, over 30 minutes wait for a portion of chips which turned out to be under cooked and inedible, Don't Waste your money.

Unfortunate start as the collect service misfired. However despite the food being in the warmer for 10 mins the it was still hot when we got it home after another 5 mins.The fish was superbly cooked and very tasty, and my wife’s scampi was good too. The portions are still large and one portion of chips is enough for 2 and possibly 3.

A Suffolk hidden gem! Highly recommend. Our favourite fish & chips in the area. The fish is so fresh and delicious. Chips with their curry sauce is always a winner too.

Loved the online ordering. Very easy. Fish well cooked but small for so called large. Plenty of chips but a little cool. Wife had fish cakes that were great.

I am a chef of 27 years and I rate the chips as top tier, the battered sausage was epic flavour and texture. I will only eat from here now!!!

I would advise using ordering on the internet to avoid a possible queue. Quality far far better than that offered in nearby Aldeburgh. Last time I ordered there with some friends from America we had to leave virtually all the fish as it was full of bones. We were shown that the menu stated 'may be bones' but we've had less in kippers! Try both for yourself and speak as you find.

Where to start. Very small portion of cod, even though medium was ordered (x2). Batter was hard, hardly any fish, chips were hard. A waste of money

What a fantastic chip shop, staff great, very clean shop and food wow lovely bit of cod and chips not greasy at all went down a treat...would certainly recommend this chip shop for food any day... shame I don't live 100 miles east it would be my go to for fish and chips.

This chip shop should win a global award. The chips are the best I have ever tried and the freshest line caught fish is second to none. The batter is so good I even eat the skin,and we don't normally do that do we. The best by a country mile, don't que in Aldeburgh for OK fish and chips go to seahawks. Best by far

Visited twice in a few weeks just after 7 to be told they're either not taking anymore orders or they're out of chips?? I wouldn't mind, but they weren't polite about it and acted like I was the crazy one walking into a chippy on a Friday evening and expecting chips!! Won't bother again.

Great food at a brilliant price. Easy to order on click and collect, cod, chips, mushy peas, and curry sauce ordered for 5 people, and it was fantastic. Highly recommended.

We preordered our fish and chips and they were ready on time for collection. The portions were a good size and everything was well cooked. The kids had chicken nuggets and the adults had fish which was excellent. All in all very good!

Such a shame . This used to be the best fish and chips for miles around but things changed very rapidly and the last time we got them they ended up in the bin . Chips had been re heated and the fish was tough and chewy . Also a long lasting claggy film left in our mouths .

Tasty flaky cod, lovely crispy chips accompanied with mushy peas. Can order online or in person and did ours online and they were bang on time. Staff friendly. Always happy to return.

Don't normally eat all my chips but they were nice. Slightly crispy just the way I like them. Portion just right for one and the boxes quality environmentally friendly and not flimsy. Will add something with my chips next time and review again. Not perfect but not far off, but who is and what is when is see some of these comments. Nice chips

I was in Leiston and thought I'd get a quick lunch as I was travelling and saw the chip shop was open. I knew I should have turned away when i was met a curt unfriendly service from ordering, waiting 30 mins and receiving my food through the hatch of a window in a bolshy couldn't care attitude. I didn't think a chippy could mess up a simple order of sausage and chips but how wrong was I......!

Restricted menu and if you don't like your food battered you will need to look elsewhere.

Ordered via the website using click n collect on Saturday evening. What a brilliant service, choose a time to collect, order what you'd like to eat adding special instructions if required, pay by card. Turned up at alloted time and collected our order. Absolutely gorgeous food hot and fresh Will be using this service again

Couldn't agree more with Tim Chambers about the service at this place. It is a huge shame because, as everyone states, although not cheap the fish and chips from this establishment are superb. I would not however call here again especially if it was cold and wet. In late May 2022 there remains what can only be described as a phobic attitude towards COVID at Seahawks. As a result both doors are barricaded and customers are forced to stand on the pavement whilst their order is being prepared. As everything is cooked to order this can result in a typical wait time of 20 minutes. Not for me in the pouring rain. If a customer requests an "eat now" (open & unwrapped) order no access is provided to salt and vinegar. On a very personal note my own special application of salt & vinegar to my fish & chips hugely enhances the enjoyment. Having it added for me by a shop assistant is never the same. Lastly I was told that I could not pay by cash. Luckily I had my debit card with me, which is not always the case. Alienating the customer is not good business practise.

Given we are surrounded by fish and have some of the finest potato growing conditions in the world, its amazing how many fish and chip shops disappoint, especially for the prices charged. The days of this being a cheap meal are long gone but this place is no more expensive than some of the less worthy . But what a difference, superb fish with a light batter and great chips. Only a visitor to the town but certainly a major positive factor if considering moving there.

Terrible service order online and wait another 20 minutes after collection time only to be told you need to say you've arrived for them to cook your food, surely they cook it for the time you ordered it for ?? When I got it home the order was missing 2 items !! What we got tasted ok !!

Been going here for years and the food is top notch, more than reasonable staff and fantastic service and staff. As my dietary requirements have changed over the years my only suggestion would be to have some (or even one) vege options for mains. However that’s not put me off yet, would just be more convenient!

This has become our 'go to' when in the area. Online ordering/payment generally works well and never have to wait long for food. Friendly and amenable service. Fish is flaky with crispy batter and yummy chips...plenty of crispy ones and good mushy peas. Its nice...

Visited yesterday, no communication about length of time for waiting 30 minutes, or that pre-orders were dealt with first 4 people to the same order! This was meant as treat to someone as a key worker. Staff not wearing appropriate PPE and when trying to speak to someone was partially ignored.

Tried to ring through an order but nobody answered the phone so took pot luck and just turned up to be ignored for several minutes. Then to be told I would have to wait 35 minutes! 6 teenagers running the shop not very efficiently. So...

As good as Aldeburgh (if not better) without the queues :) Especially a fan of the battered butchers sausages.

Online only or phone before 2pm so you need to plan ahead for this takeaway. After unexpectedly working overtime and hence doing a 12 hour shift on a hot day and finding the other fish and chip shop had a huge queue my partner went to this one on his way home as he was hungry. Staff member came to the door and said sorry we are fully booked with online orders. Sign of the times that a hard working hungry man can't go to a chip shop and buy a portion of chips without a smartphone.

How do you actually order from these people ? You call up no one answers the phone ….. you look online and it says open ! If for some reason you have to order online why do they not simply answer the phone and say “ we only take online bookings “. Or maybe a answerphone service ! Went to the fish shop for "large cod and chips twice" on a Thursday lunchtime. Card payment only (Covid-19 rules). Ordered at one door, picked up the food at the other. It took me 10 minutes from ordering to walking away with my freshly-cooked F&C,...

These fish and chips are 100% better than Aldeburgh although I would not recommend the sausage I would highly recommend the fish and the staff are very friendly I bought my fish and chips to the beach and do a very very good service in the pandemic situation and is easy to phone up and order

Very Covid-secure. Friendly, obviously popular fish bar. Plaice and chips delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend. They also appear to have an efficient online ordering service, which allows you to jump the queue outside.

Superbly efficient service. Online ordering was very simple and food was ready at the time we asked for and safely handed over. Well thought through interpretation of the Covid guidelines. The food itself was fabulous. Moist fish in great tasting batter and proper chip shop chips!

Lovely fish and chips ( my partner had haddock and I had scampi ) and the ratio of fish to chips just right - some establishments dish out far too many chips, making the proportions all wrong
