The White Hart in Suffolk Coastal

Went here with my family including an eight month old baby in a buggy and told we were not allowed in with him. Barmaid very unhelpful and told us 'it was the law'. Choose somewhere else is my advice.

Especially visiting on Friday afternoon/night... a very pleasant atmosphere

Proper pub with the benefit of being next to a good chippie.

Cracking one room pub in Aldeburgh. Friendly efficient bar staff & I love the fact that Adnam’s are the U.K. importers of Bitburger. Bitburger served in unbranded pint glasses & it’s obvious the glasses are perfectly clean as the Bitburger is as lively as it should be. I enjoyed a few pints & my wife had no complaints about the Sauvignon Blanc.

Great little pub serving a good pint, and you can get a nice pizza from the pizza hut in the courtyard to go with your drinks. There's also a lovely fish & chip shop right next door that they allow you to eat in the courtyard as long as you buy your drinks over the bar. Enjoy your beer 🍻

We popped in to sit down and eat our fish and chips, you are welcome to do so if you purchase a drink, which we did. There is a cute little cat here and a lovely dog to pet. There are toilets in the back also.

One of the best little addams pubs, it does not do food although you are welcome to buy from nearby Pizza place or from the excellent fish and chip shop next door. A great locals pub with bags of character

Been coming to this wonderful pub for years ,when we visit on our holiday .my husband just loves the ales .and the atmosphere . I have 1 complaint that is, I’m coeliac and would really love to see some GF lager .available as most pubs have these available today . .A GF peroni estrella dura dam… ANYTHING will do 👍this would make my holiday perfect .. Don’t worry about not selling them I shall not see them go to waste.. 😀 I have a medical condition and find it very difficult to get GF fish n chips or pizza also in any Aldeburgh takaway establishments 🙁 available in restaurants though . We shall be down to aldeburgh in a few weeks and this would make my holiday just perfect and would be really appreciated . Thank you Dawn

Absolutely fantastic pizza and I'm not a pizza fan but these are terrific. Give yourself a treat, you will not be disappointed.

I often pop in here when I am in Aldeburgh to have a couple of drinks. It's a proper local pub with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. I wish I lived nearer. i would definitely be a regular

Lovely building, delightful interior, filling up at lunchtime with all sorts. Nice staff, nice beer, nice feel. hard to drag yourself out really.

Lovely birthday meal. I’m vegan and there was an excellent choice.

November and plenty of locals in at 11.30 opening - seven around one table and others down the other end. Three or four dogs in over two hours. Not a huge place being one room and good atmosphere. Excellent Adnams beer and cider (loved the winter special) and red wine 🍷. The bar lady (pink hair) had it all under control. Great experience. Thank you. ☂️🌦️ Outside!

Whilst im aware the pizza hut and the pub are two different businesses the whole experince was vile. We did not like the pizzas and said they were not good. The guy running the pizza place was not interested and then shouted out to one of his 'friends' in the beer garden 'was your pizza soggy' to which the person replied ' no he must have pissed himself'. We went into the pub explained what had happened and they said they would have a word..we left our pints as the environment was in our view toxic no refund was offered. The conclusion we have reached is that both businesses are only interested in money and due to the high turnover of customers in the summer season care little or nothing about there clients. We live on the high street and will be unable to recommend to any friends or guests

I’ve had the best pint of Ghostship there and yesterday,the worst, the incident that has prompted this review was the disdain given from a particular member of the bar staff as I took my murky pint back.When I took the following pint back,which also failed to clear,she gave me a filthy glare and angrily pulled me a pint of Broadside and pushed it towards me….it really got me. Pubs like this are great and the ale served should be treated with respect and cared for with pride.The bar staff obviously hadn’t a clue how to pour a pint and the air of indifference,as if bartending was all a bit of a “jape”,was very disappointing. Folk will obviously always drink here,but standards should be kept,with no resting on one’s laurels.

Supreme quality pizza - friendly welcome - popular location all make this a great place to dine on a summer evening. Top of my grandsons' wishlist when they come to stay!

Old pub with some rugby memorabilia on the walls. Adnams beers on tap and a pizza shack in the beer garden. Dog friendly and will allow outside food as long as you buy alcohol.

The little pizza place was great! A range of pizzas, including Regina, Quattro Formaggi and Napoletana. The chef was friendly and the pizza was quick, hot and delicious. It was also decently priced. The pub itself is pretty and comfortable. They generously allow people to eat in their beer garden from the neighbouring fish and chip shop if they buy a drink from the pub. Dogs were also welcome.

The pub sells beer. The pizza shack in the the garden sells great pizza. The chipper beside the pub sells delicious fish and chips. And the pub is happy for you to eat pizza or fish and chips in the garden (as long as you buy a drink from the pub). Happiness!

Walked up to the pizza booth. Waited a good few minutes for someone to speak to me, while watching them make 4 pizzas for the lady in front of me. The bearded chap finally speaks to me and says they stopped serving at ten to eight. I looked at my watch and it was 19:53. Absolutely inexcusable, rude service. Also there was no sign saying they stopped at that time. Won't be back to find out if the pizzas are any good or not

Charmingly rooted in the 1950s, this is a pub that time almost forgot, but that's the point! A warm & cheery welcome awaits all visitors & regulars alike. Good selection of well-kept beers & pizzas outback on some evenings. Relaxed approach to letting punters bring supper from the next-door chippy as long as they purchase a drink shows why this is such a great place. Definitely somewhere to stop when you're in town. Ideal creche for non-shoppers!

Everything a pub should be! Really busy with visitors now and really cosy out of season: my favourite time. One star for food as there isn't any!

Always our go to pub when in Aldburgh. It mixes local people and visitors giving a warm atmosphere. Unpretentious. A drinkers pub.

Good staff lovely atmosphere . Just need some GF lager for people with medical condition as I am Coeliac . This is available but obviously not from Adnams only GF IPA .

Lovely friendly pub..mostly locals..but made welcome they had a roaring fire went down well with a pint and afterwards Had fish and chips from the local famous takeaway only to be enjoyed in the pub Garden thankyou.

Very much a locals pub, but still remains very friendly to visitors (and dogs! Aldeburgh is V. dog-friendly). We always try to drop in when in town.

Proper only school pub. Small room with a garden. No food except crisps but you can your fish and chips from next door in the garden.

A great location right on the sea front. The room ( superior seaview) was huge with a very large comfortable bed. The bathroom had a double sized shower which was brilliant. Breakfast was a good choice, my husband had the full English which he said was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant was only open Thursday onwards due to staff issues and is an Indian restaurant. We didn't get to try it as we were leaving on Thursday. The lighting in the bar at night was so bright it ruined the atmosphere so it didn't feel very cosy. But otherwise a lovely stay.

This is a small bar with all the local brews. We sat in their garden and ate Fish & Chips from the establishment next door as the pub did not appear o have a kitchen.

Visited the White Hart Inn on a beautiful summer's day ,not for the first time ! Great local pub located nextdoor to the famous Aldebrugh fish and Chip shop . Lovely atmosphere to the pub where you can sit in the beer garden and have your and fish chips as long as you purchase drinks from the Bar Or you can enjoy there wonderful freshly made pizzas at very reasonable price too, cooked in there special Pizza oven . Enjoy !!

Your basic back street bar. Good beer but not much else to recommend it, though the one bar maid was friendly enough. No food, unless you queued for ages at the chippy next door, which you could eat in the somewhat unattractive beer *garden".

Pleasant local pub! Very friendly!

Very basic and simple done well. Wooden picnic benches in the rear - grab a beer/glass of wine and enjoy. We got there before the pizza kitchen opened at 5pm (run independently). The pizza was good - if being critical the peppers seemed sweet (pickled rather than fresh)? The pub is also next door to the fish and chip shop and you can also eat those in the beer garden, so long as you’re having a drink. Good atmosphere, great service at the bar and our kids really enjoyed it.

Popular pub, and a real pub. Pizza was excellent.

Beer good. Good atmosphere. Incredibly disappointing that in 2022 a gluten free base cannot be provided. Veganisim and vegetarianism are choices. Gluten intolerance and coeliacs disease are not choices and it is v easy to make or obtain gf bases. I would argue that it is discrimination to not offer a gluten free option.

A reasonable selection of beers and gins. welcoming staff. We visited here several times over our four days in Aldeburgh. Sitting outside in the sunshine was great ---- especially with a dry cider / G & T. We will return!

Easily the pub with the best atmosphere in Aldeburgh. So welcoming and friendly. If you're after a proper pub and want to feel like a local this is the one. Good selection of Adnams beer, and very well kept.

Great pizzas! And a decent pint in the pub too. Sit in or takeaway. Really safe bet, children happy, not to mention dad! We will be back.

We popped in for a drink while staying on the High Street for a holiday. The server was very friendly and the space had a nice atmosphere.

Good pint (Adnams) and comfortable pub right next to the famous fish and chip shop. The people we talked to were having a drink before queuing for their takeaway. The evening we were there it seemed to be very popular with high turnover of tables which must be a good sign.

Friendly staff, good selection of drinks and cozy atmosphere with the fireplace lit. Looking forward to returning. Also extremely dog friendly, our puppy was in her element

We stayed 2 nights whist having some work done on our bungalow.The outside is a little tired but don't be put off by this, because inside is lovely.The hotel is warm and welcoming as was our room and spotlessly clean .All staff were so friendly and helpful and the breafast is amazing.100 % recommended

Been going to this pub since we called it the potty pub ( Victorian chamber pots all over ceiling ! And a stove in the middle of the bar floor and wonderful live music thank goodness it is nearly the same no gentrification!!

Pub in Aldburgh situated moments away from the seafront and right next to the famous Aldburgh fish and chip shop. You can eat F n C in the pub garden providing you purchase a drink on the premises. Very dog friendly.

It's a while since we've been into the White Hart, but we love an old pub so couldn't resist whle waiting for our fish and chips from the nearby chippie. A couple of days later we decided to order pizzas from the outdoor oven and again had a drink or two while we waited, altough we were surprised how quickly the food came given how busy the place was. On another visit we just sat and had a couple of pints of Suffolk cider and watched the world go by.
