A great venue with feel good vibes, fantastic food and wonderful staff. We were here to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday and were well looked after by our waitress Lalita.

A place with such a welcoming atmosphere, whether that be the garden by the river in the sunshine, or cosy inside in the winter. The varying seasonal menus, and terrific service, I could not recommend more. We were previously served by Callum who was not only attentive, but friendly and adaptable. Great food, great atmosphere and great price.

January 25, 2025, I attended the Burns Night celebration at Galvin Green Man, a historic pub and restaurant near Chelmsford, Essex. The evening was a delightful blend of Scottish tradition and culinary excellence. The event featured a four-course menu priced at £48 per person, accompanied by Scottish bagpipes and the traditional haggis ceremony. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to seasonal and local ingredients. The ambiance was enhanced by the historic setting of the pub, which dates back to 1341, providing a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, contributing to a memorable experience. While the food was exceptional, the overall experience of the Burns Night celebration at Galvin Green Man was truly enjoyable, offering a perfect blend of tradition, atmosphere, and high-quality cuisine.

We just left the restaurant and I had to shout about it! The waiting staff were AMAZING, really engaged and attentive, they actually looked like they wanted to be at work. The food and chefs serving were also totally awesome! We drive 30 mins for this restaurant and it was totally worth it! We will be back as soon as possible.

First time visiting Pho and had such an amazing experience special thanks to Eve! Eve's suggestions for every dish recommended was a 10/10, from starters to pudding 🍮. We took my Dad to this lovely restaurant for his 85th birthday celebration. The decor is beautiful, service outstanding and food delicious. We’ll definitely be returning!

The food is always a good portion, good value for money and delicious- not had a bad experience yet and gone multiple occasions over the years Staff are upbeat and friendly and great service The atmosphere is good a few modernisations could take it to the next level but has a homely feel

We have dined her a lot recently because we have been so impressed. However after a menu change this week the experience was lousy. I assume its cost engineering as every dish was just disappointing. Our crab, scallop and prawn starters we over cooked beyond belief. It felt like they had been heated in a microwave for a long time. The waiter said it was a brand new item on the menu and the chef might be getting used to the cooking requirements!!! Not great for us to be the guinea pigs. My main course of katsu curry rice bowl sounded great but again is was so average and lacking in any great flavour. My friend has prawn skewers and the prawns were bright white from freezer burn making the so unappealing to look at and cut around. We did provide some honest but very polite feedback but didnt ask for money off etc. We just said what a step backwards it was and how disappointing it is after so many great visits recently

An absolutely wonderful stop for lunch when visiting my mum on Monday! Delicious food. She had the hunters chicken & I had the ham,egg & chips. Both were perfectly sized portions & absolutely delicious. We also thought both meals & drinks were very fairly Priced. The service was excellent. The host & serving staff were warm & friendly. We felt like we were regulars despite it being our first visit.
