Went to get a drink on Friday night 16th May @21:50pm told couldn't serve us as they were closing. Signage clearly showed they were open until 22:30pm !?. We had paid £10 for mooring in front of pub, so we're surprised to be unable to purchase a drink 40mins prior to advertised closing time. Obviously very profitable business that can afford to turn away trade !!!.

Nice meal and had booked ahead which was good as was busy inside. If you're on a boat you can't book mooring spots at the pub ahead but there are extra before the bridge and although we thought they were all choca there was some further down past the no mooring signs. Nice meal and lots of seating inside and out

Amazing pub, we came here several years ago when boating on the Broads, and visited again on our latest boating trip. Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing food, and a beautiful pub. I'd recommend booking as they seemed busy in the evening. We moored up overnight and breakfast was wonderful too. Pancakes with bacon were delightful, and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful hostess :) Overall definitely going to be coming back again if we get the chance, and would highly recommend!

Popped in here on the off chance we could get something to eat. We needn't have worried. A dog in tow, shown to a vacant table, shortly after asked if we wanted a drink, and then if we wanted anything to eat. We had Guinness and steak pie, lamb kofta both were lovely, very nice indeed. Great food. Lovely views. Eat inside or out if you want. Beers, wine and spirits loads too choose from. Highly recommended, we will be coming again. Thank you.

It is one of our favourite pubs on the Broads. It is easy to moor outside, or park if driving, with a lot of room outsdie for the kids to stretch their legs. A meal for 6 adults and 4 children was just under £300. They have ride on amusements, playgrounds, and an arcade. Most things in the arcade are broken or rigged, so avoid that. Large beer garden, and nice effort inside. the bar is small, and so is the restaurant area, but we didn't get in anyone's way - it was fine. It's worth a stop if passing.

Expensive microwave food. Saw fridge full of microwave food in open fridge in kitchen on the way in. So basically a standard ping ping pub. No flair, no real cooking . Expensive drinks. £6.60 for a standard lager ! This is not London Mr Landlord. No wonder it was so quiet . £50+ for two mains and a couple of drinks is too much. No longer a pop in for a quick meal pub.. now have to save up for very average food. Better fresh food and drinks at lower prices available elsewhere. 2024 review Menu same as before, but with amended children's option. Now on menu you can have a third of a pie for the children. We was told it was very popular. The food we felt was exceptional, with the exception of my gravy that seemed watery. However nobody else's seemed to be, we came back a couple of nights later and my gravy was fine. So I think we will chalk up the first lot of gravy as a "broads mystery". Very welcoming and hospitable. The temperature of the building I felt to be too hot, however nobody wants it cold. Radiators make atmosphere incredibly hot. Our daughter saw a sign "family friendly" which she told me put her at ease, she really loved that and made her feel welcome. Toilets very clean and my wife said there was hand cream and soap which was a lovely touch. Servers Chard and Shane were particularly good and stood out to us as genuine assetsnto their team. All in all, a far more pleasant experience than last year and we will Def be back for some of that delicious pie. 2023 review Ok, well we come on the broads every year, we came to acle bridge last year, and although pricey we agreed it was the best meal. This year we returned, after a week of eating in various places I'm afraid to say we felt let down. If you want a cider, and I don't mean a fruit cider, I mean a proper apple cider, u better like aspalls, aspalls, or at a push they also have aspalls. The pie was actually very nice, described as 'not for the faint hearted'. The reality was, my 7 year old daughter wanted some, but they was unwilling to deviate from the menu at all.  So we ordered another main and she had half and my wife had half.  My daughter ate her half and I personally think she could've polished off the whole meal.  The pie was very nice but as for "not for the faint hearted". . . . I think the size of the meal was surprisingly "average".  Im unsure of who they are used to feeding, but I'm assuming that they arent used to people from the fen.  Very nice, but a very standard size. When we asked about the meal options for children we was told "the menu is the menu". And we was then informed what other parents do, and how they supplied the children's meals via "market research".  I'm very aware what other parents do, but we aren't really into feeding our children what other people expect them to eat. When we tried to discuss this with our server she just said, I would love to talk to you about this but I'm to busy.  I understand it must have been hard with her workload as there was our table and 1 other to deal with. Must have been tough.  So we tried to talk with the manager who had no time for us and pretended to hear a phone ringing and told us to talk to the server who was about as much use as an inflatable dartboard. All in all, meals tasted very nice, but if someone asked for a recommendation, hand on heart, I would direct them to "acle spice", where we had a take away 2 nights ago.  We were happier with the food, service and it was cheaper. It's a sad sad day when a takeaway beats a restaurant for service, food, price and general hospitality. But I guess that's the world we live in.

We had to queue for 35 minutes to place our order as there was only one till, and the chap was also serving drinks to tables. Such a crazy set up. Need at least 2 tills or the option to order via QR code. The food then took 25 minutes to be served. The food is very tasty and well presented.

Chips were dry & probably just reheated. The batter on the fish was nice & crispy but the fish was small & overcooked. Waited for it to be cooked so expected better quality. Really dissapointed
