Great food, great service. Very accommodating of changes to menu and requesting something from the brunch menu at 6pm! We go here regularly and it's always great food.

We ate here for Mothers day, it was a treat. Set menu had plenty of options. Staff were amazing, I have dairy and gluten intolerance and was very much accommodated and they even made me a special dessert so I could have one. The location is beautiful and inside is rustic and very well kept and clean.

Food was excellent once again. We have always enjoyed our meals here over the last 40+ years 😋.

Business trip, there’s not much in this area of Norwich / east anglia - so it’s slim pickings when it comes to accommodation. Most places are full of workers on various construction projects. The rooms were clean and basic, everything you’d need really. Breakfast was fine, we didn’t eat in the evening but the place was cold and could do with the fire on or some heating. Food stops 8:45 and the whole place doesn’t open to 4pm which is quite strange. Would probably stay again as nothing else around and it does the job.

Lovely Sunday roasts with a generous amount of meat. I don’t want meat with mine so I have a roast without….nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Coffee and desserts are delicious too.

Had a wonderful two night stay at the Marsham Arms. The room was spacious and warm. The bathroom had both a bath and shower with plenty of hot water. Whilst this trip round we didn't need a fridge, it was pleasant to see a fridge in the room. Good tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast set up was good. Plenty of choice and freshly cooked food. Only minor grumble was standard off the shelf sliced bread. Would have preferred locally produced bread. We had a meal whilst we stayed there. Our son and granddaughter live in Norwich. Food was good. Our daughter in law loved the burger that she had. Said it was one of the best she had eaten. We would stay there again whilst property hunting in the area.It was good that they are dog friendly at Marsham Arms. It's possible that we will be back early in the new year. I wasn't too well whilst staying there (nothing to do with the hotel, I hasten to add) and would have liked to try the Santa Paws ale.

Popped in late on a Sunday, very accommodating (we didn't book). Service was good food was great - one of the best roasts I have had locally. Definitely recommend

Second visit after a great first, to be let down second time round. The meals were not as good as before, smaller and not everything described on plate, service was very slow for all courses and having to chase staff for menus and bill. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning.

All the staff here are excellent in top class, polite and pleasant service. The food is faultless, truly every dish is cooked and tastes as it would in a mitchelin rated restaurant, without the equivalent cost. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are well kept beautiful garden and patio areas where you can enjoy a quiet drink. I love this place and will definitely return.we have visited many different hotels/motels/ and the like, what makes the difference here is the staff.

When we parked up, I remarked "This is exactly the sort of place I imagine people come up from London to have a rack of lamb ribs and discuss their golf swing over a pint of fancy lager". After ordering food and drinks and sitting at a table in the wonderfully sunny beer garden there was a table next to us, tucking into various delicious looking dinners and.... Discussing their golf swing. It's very relaxing, it's in the middle of nowhere and looks like a lovely place to stay. Not sure where the nearest golf course is though....

The Marsham Arms is a great pub/restaurant it offers a village feel with a fab fireplace, good food and great staff. The Sunday roast is huge! We had scampi and chips, crab salad and Ham, egg and chips, all were great, the chips superb. The only thing is, it's in the middle of nowhere so you have to drive, I suppose you can stay.

Terrible beer, poor service, put lemonade in it without asking, ruined a perfectly good pint, had to leave it.

We visited last week, the first time in many years due to living overseas. Turned up at 3pm mid week. Fortunately Chef was around. A few minutes of anxiety to find out if food can be served. The food was delicious..... one rib eye and one duck leg, all the food was perfect. On top of excellent food the service was superb. Thank you guys and looking forward to many more visits.

Drove past here 100’s of times and only visited due to my local being too busy this past weekend; but I’m so glad we visited! Great food; the chips are absolutely amazing and the burger was near perfect. Nice staff and lots of parking; a nice change and will be going again

Have been traveling around the world for years now, but this particular place have the friendliest stuff ever! Seriously- have never stayed in more welcoming place then this! If the owner reads this - Dean an Jenny - do not lose them two - hit them with massive payrise 😊

Stopped here for something to eat. I picked the lasagna which was claimed to be freshly made. It was dry and lumpy not freshly made by any means. Will Not be going back again plenty more places to eat in Norfolk.

Friendly welcoming pub. Definitely need to pre book. We both opted for the Wed's evening fish specials menu. Good value and very tasty. Beers reasonably priced. Accommodation was clean and the bed comfortable. However I'd recommend requesting a room at the rear as the road was very busy and noisy at the front. Excellent breakfast included 👌 very accommodating with bike storage. Would stay again.

Great find just off the road out of Norwich and towards Holt. Fantastic food, with a really great menu range and everything cooked with real quality. Reasonably priced and friendly service.

Excellent dinner for 5 people on a Monday evening. Starters and mains all very nice. Service and cask beer was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Being diary intolerant, my starter and dessert were adapted so I could still have my preferred choices. My main was lovely. Good general, helpful service from the young staff. Will go back.

We had a fab lunch yesterday; delicious BLT & haddock goujon sandwiches with fries. Followed by clotted cream ice cream - yum! A lovely & quiet, clean venue with friendly staff, thank you!

We had a lunch for 8 people today - the food was excellent and the service was equally as good. Thank you Marsham Arms, my nephews described the meal as "banging!". Very high praise from them indeed!

Usually meet friends in the evening at Marsham Arms but this time we met there for lunch. Food was good and helpful staff, but disappointed that dogs are allowed in the eating area, when there is adequate outside seating. Our conversation was hard work over the constant loud barking. There were only 2 other groups in the pub at the same time but with 4 dogs between them. Not all of us want to put up with badly behaved dogs while trying to enjoy lunch.

A really lovely place and I’d definitely stay again. Comfortable bed, clean room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The fish Wednesday deal - 3 courses for £25- was excellent and great quality food. They made me a lovely take away breakfast because I had to leave before 7:30am.

Ist time visiting this place, food was lovely service was great all the staff were friendly and helpful, the outside gardens were fab to finish our evening with a coffee ☕️ 😀

I have been to the Marsham Arms quite a few times and never had a bad experience or meal. However on Mother's Day this year we went along with my girlfriend, her Mum and Dad and my Mum. We decided to go for a starter and a main as our set menu option. The starters were tasty and satisfying so that was good. Unfortunately the mains came out and other than my Girlfriend's Dad who's beef roast was really nicely sized and tasty, the same cannot be said for everybody else's meals. My Girlfriend, her Mum and my Mum all had the whole plaice, which came out unfilleted!! Now I know that a 'Whole' plaice can mean this we didn't think to check and were not forewarned of this. Out of the 3 meals not one of them was able to finish it, there were just too many bones to fish out (excuse the pun). This coupled with the fact that each person states how bland the fish was lead to a pretty unsatisfying meal. Now my meal, which was the chicken supreme with fondant potato was very tasty the portion size was so small I actually asked the waiter of the rest of the meal was on its way on a side dish. It was not! There was hardly any sauce either so was very dry. This was extremely baffling considering the beef dish that my Girlfriend's Dad ate was substantially larger. I was left lacking and also, not one person asked us the entire time we were there how the meal was. I can't help but feel that at £24.99 per person for the 2 courses, considering this is a pub/inn and not a fine dining restaurant, the Marsham Arms were exploiting the fact that it was Mother's Day. I don't have a problem with the price but maybe others would. Before anybody states that everywhere does this, I am aware of that but the fact remains that what we were paying for didn't live up. I did not complain at the time because I don't see much point in doing that but my family and I will not be returning again. Very disappointed.

Found this place online very pleased we did we booked for 1 night ,we were pleasantly surprised the room was big clean and tidy and warm the bathroom was massive had bath and shower, some parts showed signs of wear but don't we all :-) the staff we're attentive and very polite, food was good too,we had the cooked breakfast which started the day off well it was very tasty and kept us going throughout the day. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation , look forward to coming back if we're out this way again. Thanks to all at the Marsham Arms

We stayed here with our dog. Amazing little chalet type room very clean comfortable and on the large size. Breakfast was in the price and the dog was allowed in with us, we had a full English.

Came for a birthday meal. Very bland decor and meals were nothing special. Very disappointing evening. Lack of atmosphere and also quite cold inside. Fireplace was not on. Overall expensive for what it was. Won't be in a hurry to come back.

Last minute decision, but a good one. Fancied a roast - it was absolutely delicious, best one I've had in a restaurant!!! The portion size was perfect for me but had my husband ordered it, there would not have been enough to satisfy his appetite. The staff were attentive and efficient. Ollie was our server today and he was so polite and helpful. Definitely worth another visit. Well done guys.

A wonderful dog friendly pub/hotel/restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and bent over backwards to make sure our stay was as good as could be. Highly recommended.

We held my Dad's wake here yesterday. From our first initial enquiry nothing was too much trouble. They showed us the room we would be using, gave us a copy of the buffet menu, let us adapt and change things and the room was beautifully arranged and set up on the day. The food was absolutely delicious (particularly the sausage rolls and brownie bits!). A real point I would like to make is that it was obviously not an easy day for us, but the respect, understanding and loveliness of all the staff here is such a credit to the place and we can't thank you all enough.

Visited on a Sunday. Good Sunday roast offerings but also full menu to choose from. Had the mixed grill which was one of the most expensive dishes on the menu but all the meats and sides were excellent. Sourced locally from their butcher and you could tell. Wife had the lasagne which she said was delicious. Sundae and lemon posset to finish which were great as well.

It's the first time I've been to this restaurant and I must admit my initial impression was it lacked an authentic side, which is my kind of place to be fair. But as I went through five nights say I came to realise there was way more to this place. Staff were excellent and the majority of the meals were exceptional. It's a lovely place to spend one's time.

Just had a lovely overnight stay here at the Marsgham Arms. The room was spotlessly clean and the amenities were excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced, the beer was poured straight from the cask and was of top quality. I would thouroghly recommend this Inn and would gladly stop here again.

I've enjoyed some lovely meals here over the years, the last one being on Boxing Day which was excellent but also meant no cooking or washing up! Staff are wonderful (full disclosure: my daughter works here part-time!) Quiet location, despite being on a B road, with plenty of car parking. They also have rooms available so a good place from which to explore mid and north Norfolk, as you can get to the coast in around 25 minutes.
