Lillie was a fantastic waitress, very attentive and polite. Vanessa was brilliant and swift to serve our drinks. Joe the chef did a great job with the food, everything was extremely tasty, thank you everyone for a lovely experience.

Amazing experience. Brilliant food. The venue is gorgeous with excellent decor. Very up class. Gorgeous area.. really impressed. Fab prices too. Portions were really generous especially for the money. Staff can't do.more for you. Fabulous. Keep it up !

Went for Sunday lunch, upon arrival it was really busy but we was seated straight away, ordered drinks and Sunday lunch, drinks came out promptly but we waited absolutely ages for lunch, the vegetables arrived 5 minutes later after we complained and cauliflower cheese again we had to complain another 5 minutes later, my carrots were cold and my parsnips were hard to say the least. This was such a shame as we come here regularly and usually get a great service, I understand the wait due to then being busy but not about our food coming out staggered. We did receive an apology but no compensation at all. As I say its a great shame.

Food quality was poor and not very hood on portions veg was raw not cooked roast potatoes were hard and tasteless cauliflower cheese was hard and burnt a very dissatisfied experience I was also poorly after the food on the toilet most of that evening.

Gorgeous country pub, lovely decor and great food. Sharing platter and skewers were delicious. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

We were a family party of 5 having Sunday lunch. We were served by a really lovely waitress called Lynda. She was smiley and attentive. Just what makes eating out a pleasure. All of our meals were really good so compliments to the chef. Other members of staff were also noticeably attentive, for example my napkin fell off my lap and within seconds a waiter noted it and was there to pick it up - all these things add to the experience and I would most certainly recommend this pub

Came to visit for a late lunch today with a friend. Halloumi skewer was cooked perfectly - thanks to all the kitchen team! Great service on the bar from Grady as well. Paul was very friendly too - he has great people skills! I come to this pub often and will return very soon for sure.

Nice atmosphere, our server Becky was great. Ordered the Belgian fries but couldn’t eat them because there was far too much paprika.

Food was okay and everything available. Only 2 staff on duty so they were stretched. Drinks order had to be repeated as the wine did not appear.

Popped in for a meal last night and we both had our favourite skewers, delicious as usual. It was lovely to see Paul back at the pub, he looked after us very well on a busy evening. I can’t fault anything about the food or service. Highly recommended!

This place was such a great little find, my dad and I had a lovely Sunday dinner, a girl called Leah served us and was absolutely perfect. Very attentive and helpful, knew the answer to every question. Felt very homely and looked after. Will definitely be visiting again.

Came here a few months ago with a friend for a beer and a pizza and it was very good. Came back again tonight and the pizza was completely different, absolutely disgusting. Avoid the pizza!

Very, very poor, Very rude bar staff, we went following a funeral and asked if we could order food. Was told "if you are with THAT LOT, it's drinks only!!!!. We were planning to buy our own but walked out and ate elsewhere.

We were looked after by a lovely lady called Lynda, she was so professional and polite and wholly positive which was a lovely experience. I ordered the avocado salad and I was so impressed with the food, expecting salad to be a bunch of disappointing leaves it was far from it. The dish had two slices of pesto dressed chibatta, a soft boiled egg, chicken, bacon and avocado. I left full and happy and would order the same again. I hope to visit again soon 😋❤️

First time going to this pub and have to say the food was so good and tasty. I'm not a pudding guy but seeing them come out. had to get one and have to say was lovely was supriesd thats this Is a pub chain as felt homely and comfortable.

Visiting Peterborough and came across this place by chance and looked lovely country pub/restaurant. Food was lovely and great service, special mention to Channel our waitress and Martin the chef. Great little find.

Lovely food, lovely restaurant.

I had my 60th birthday meal there last Wednesday and the food was delicious. The male waiter serving us was very rude though, spoilt my evening as he sounded put out that we wanted desert and was quite rude telling us we need get out for 10 o'clock when we were already getting ready to leave at 9.45pm. There was also a fee added to the bill which I've since found out was in very small print at the bottom of the menu. I think most people out for a meal especially a,birthday one do not read through small print when they order and should be informed of this charge verbally at the start.

This is a lovely pub and overall we enjoyed our meal. Linda was very friendly. We ordered two starters. I had aruncini which was very nice. My husband ordered chicken liver pate. As soon as it arrived he said it wasn't chicken liver because of the colour, it also didn't taste like chicken liver. It was ok but he wouldn't have ordered it had he known. We did mention it to the waitress who assured us to start with that it was chicken liver but then admitted it was bought in. She kindly offered to change it but my husband kept it. My main was seabass with 'crispy baby potatoes'. The meal was hot and very tasty and well cooked. Unfortunately there was nothing crispy about the potatoes, just regular new potatoes so just put that on the menu. When serving fish, if you can't do a crispy skin then it's best to leave the skin off. My husband had the lamb dish which again was very nice. The small pie which accompanied it though didn't seem to have the ingredients listed, he said it tasted like a steak pie rather than lamb and mint. All in all, we did enjoy our meal and would eat here again but I think they could improve a little to make it perfect.

It's a beautiful place and the food was magnificent but the service was a little slow on ordering and clearing and it wasn't busy, but overall we'll be back ☺️

Attitude of the waiting staff stinks very sour be careful if you booking as a group as they load the bill for tips ...!

We went for a birthday meal for a special birthday and we were a large party. The food was excellent and was enjoyed by all. However the evening was slightly marred by,at times the waiter coming across as a bit impatient and unhelpful. Also when I booked the table, by phone as couldn't book online for more than 8 people, I was not told that there is a 10 percent service charge. Overall we had a lovely evening.

Fantastic service from friendly and efficient waiting staff. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Dog friendly too which was the icing on the cake. Food was very tasty and well presented.

This pub has an amazing ambiance especially in the winter with the lovely fire. We love the Sunday lunch which is always great quality and amazing value for money. Staff always friendly despite being extremely busy. Genuinely feel that the staff want you to have a great experience - highly recommended

The staff were welcoming and very considerate. The food was fantastic and my guests commented on how lovely the venue was with plenty of space. A big thank you from me and will definetly visit again and hopefully in better personal circumstances.

Four of us had an excellent meal, and were looked after by Linda, who was fundamental to our enjoyment of the evening. Whilst ever professional, she joined in with our jokes and general silliness. We will definitely return again, on next visit to the area.

Excellent setting, great food and warm friendly staff, booked reservation which we had to change which proved to be no problem at all, looked after by Graham (top bloke deserves stars as well)

Food, staff and service amazing just wish the door in the restaurant was not used to go outside as very annoying when you are sat eating near it and people/children are constantly in and out!

Fantastic village pub. Great facilities, amazing atmosphere and the food is outstanding. Large selection of drinks to boot. The gardens are beautiful to sit in with a cold cider in the sunny weather.

Lynda served us today and she was absolutely brilliant. Friendly, kind, approachable and great with our two girls. Offering them colouring and asked them themselves what they would like to order rather then go through us which I thought was a lovely thing to do. They felt relevant. Amazing food also!! Booked a table as we regard ourselves as regulars somebody at our table had to wait 30 to 40 minutes this is second time it has happened when soup arrived was cold main course some chips were burnt no apology not be back waste of time booking a table

Haven't visited for a while, but service is not as good as it used to be, food definitely not as good. Friends Meal was served 10 minutes before mine which was missing the main piece of food, ok had an apology and a free drink but that's not the point. Won't be back for a while

Absolutely fantastic. would highly recommend and will definately return. Great ambience, beautifully decorated. Great choice of menu , great presentation and good value for money. Our server, Angus, was really friendly which made our visit even more enjoyable.

Very well presented, value for money and the sevice was incredible. Angus was very helpful and welcoming, for keeping the kitchen open so deserts were eaten and very much enjoyed. Will 100% come back.

I came here and had the fish and chips the fish was exquisite and the chips where even better though it had tar tar sauce (which I don't like) while eating my fish I accidently swallowed a fish bone which got stuck in my throat I began to choke but the lovely staff didn't hesitate to revive me <3 yummy yum yummzerz best fish I've ever had

Atmosphere and cleaningless was ridiculously bad if I could I would give -1 Glass tables outside were dirty needed to ask 2 times to clean and it wasn't clean properly. Waitress bless them trying their best but they are unexperienced. Asked for ketchup and mayonnaise waitress and barmen keeping referring to outside fridge but the fridge didn't have any left and that was same for all other customers. No one from staff checked any stock. I'm not going into details but the food 1 star. Tables were unprepared and whatever you ask you need to get it yourself. This was our favourite place in Peterborough but now no point. 4 people 2 mains and nibbles around £80 You need to pay first before order.

So disappointing...until yesterday evening we have had consistently good experiences at the Fitzwilliam Arms but last night was different. On arrival the car park was full, the restaurant was virtually full and the staff were clearly frustrated and overworked. Our first course didn't arrive for an hour, soup was served cold, cheese was missing on a dish and had to be returned to the kitchen, and we couldn't face the delay for the very limited number of deserts offered. Staff apologised when we settled the bill. Please, please, don't ruin your reputation by over booking!

We went to the Fitzwilliam for Sunday brunch as a big family group -6 adults and a 2 year old. I had originally booked for 10 adults but plans changed but it was easy to get through on the phone both for the initial booking and also to amend it. I was pleased that I didn't have to speak to a "virtual assistant" and got a real person! We had a lovely welcome a d were seated in a private little sectioned off area which was lovely. The highchair for the 2 year old was ready and waiting for us. Our server Lynda was a delight. So smiley and positive and looked after us so well even bring colouring sheets and crayonsfir the 2 year old which loved. She was also very careful when handing drinks etc that she didn't pass them over the 2 year olds head "just in case" . She even took some group photos for us. The food was cooked fresh to order and came hot and delicious. We will be deciding back not only for brunch but amy time we want good food and great service.Thank you Lynda and colleagues.

Lovely meal. The service was excellent. Will definitely be returning and recommending. Just a few things that to me gave it 4 stars, we had a dirty fork, wine glasses were not clean, given a table where the sun was in my eyes. We waited ages to be served on entry. I hate to be picky and negative, but you asked why it's not a 5 star review.

Booked a table tonight for 2 , 2nd visit as enjoyed my last visit to this pub & left a highly recommended review Tonight the stater was very enjoyable for us both , the mains followed not to soon after that was also very tasty & enjoyable , plates cleared then sat for over 20 mins to ask if we would like dessert, order taken then after 45 minutes we got up to leave as no dessert until I went to the bar to pay my bill , sorry I’ve never walked out of a restaurant before but tonight please can you take note the pub wasn’t very busy so why did we wait so long to get our dessert? Would I go back again Yes as the food is very good but after tonight it will take me a while to think

The decor was light and inviting, staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was just amazing. Really nice to see vegan options available and nothing was too much trouble.

I went with my son and daughters to the fitzwilliam Arms in Marholm Peterborough, this is a place that me and my late husband loved going to. We were served by a lovely lady called Lynda she was polite and curtious to us all, she gave us time to order drinks. When she returned with the drinks order, she asked if we needed more time before we ordered the main course, she explained what the specials where, also when I ordered the Lamb rump she apologiesd that they had sold out and took everyone's orders so I had time to decide what I wanted instead. It was lovely and relaxing. Lynda is a credit to your business, with her polite manner and how she makes you feel welcomed and appreciated.

Went for Sunday lunch again today 2/6/24 and was served by Lynda. Lynda was very polite and helpful as always and made our visit a very pleasant one. Thank you
