We were served by Lynda. Wish all service could be this good. She made us, and our visit, feel special. Food was great. And the wonderful atmosphere of The Fitzwilliam Arms will soon be calling us back.

My husband, daughter, and I popped along to the Fitzwilliam arms today for lunch. My husband had the trio of meats for his roast dinner. I quote ‘this is the best roast dinner I have ever had’. I had the ham hock and cheddar pie with spring onion mash - also incredible. The best pie I’ve ever had too! My daughter had the chicken nuggets with a brownie for dessert, and she loved it. Thank you for the incredible and hearty food. Lynda - your customer service was impeccable. Thank you for being so attentive to our little girl, Isabel. A lovely warm welcome from yourself and always a smile on your face. Extremely child friendly and very accommodating, thank you. We will be back!

A nice welcome from the manager who showed us to our table. Food the sunday roast was lovely served by a lovely helpful lady. It was very nicely arranged we had drinks followed by a mini pud and coffee staff were polite and helpful

Such a lovely lunch, I haven’t visited for a while but I won’t leave it long until I visit again! The food was excellent a really good varied menu to choose from. We were looked after really well by Graham and all the staff were friendly, thank you 🙂

An absolutely lovely meal at the Fitzwilliam with friends last evening. Excellent service from Linda a charming lady, and good speedy service from the bar staff. We will definitely go there as first choice going forward.

We had a wake today at 3pm for 20 people, funeral 1.30 when we booked with girl we said that's ok they can have a drink first. To be greeted today at 2.30 by "your not expected till 3". Are we not allowed a drink first?? Service through out terrible very surly girls. No salad served which was ordered. Ran out of plates to be told well there's 25 there, saucer size no room for your food, so we had to put chips, pizza, etc onto one plate or dish and use the servers. None of our guests impressed and will not return. I'm more saddetby the fact this will be remembered for my mother's funeral. A time we can't get back!!!

Reply to my complaint found in Spam.... Booked a wake for 20 people. The Buffet offering was strange, it was a hot buffet, no cold option, but no hot plates were used and it was quickly cold and inedible. So much food was left over...even chips. £15.95 a head.....ridiculous price. No tea/coffee included either. I would not recommend to anyone. I hope the feedback is taken on board by Head office.

Best meal I have had in ages, the beef bourgingoun was unbelievable, as was the mushroom starter, me and my fiance left extremely satisfied, we will be back

From entering to leaving it was a wonderful experience. Graham, our server was fantastic. Two of our party are from Europe and Graham was patient enough to understand when trying to order. Food was fabulous, as was the service. Will be back again. Lovely venue. And dog friendly. Perfect.⁹

The Fitz was having a glitch today with staff shortages. My Seabass dish was good but could have been warmer and we gave up waiting for our desserts and left. Our bill was amended thank you. These things happen and we will return at some point.

Another fantastic Sunday lunch, food all cooked well and great menu. Special thanks to our server Paul who made our visit more enjoyable.

We came on 23 September as a group of 8. The service for drinks was fine. When it came to the main course, 5 people were served, but the remaining 3 waited over 10 minutes for their food to arrive and meanwhile other tables were being served. One of the remaining 3 meals was sea bass which was only lukewarm. All the meals which had calibreze on was almost inedible as the stalks were rock hard. I ordered the roast lamb which was cooked to perfection, but it was accompanied by a mini lamb pie. The pie and meat were excellent but the crust was so hard I couldn't cut it so therefore I didn't eat it. This was very disappointing as we have eaten there many times before and everything was perfect so let's hope it wax just a one-off

Wow what a fantastic find. Decided on a pub lunch prior to a hospital appointment for my wife. Not knowing the area at all,we mooched about, and came across the Fitzwilliam Arms. Just walking into the pub it was extremely friendly and warming. Initially we were going to be a sandwich and drink, but the menu looked so appetising we thought.....and we did. The food was absolutely delicious as were the naughties for dessert. I can thoroughly recommend the pork belly and my wife's sea bass was superb. We live 35 miles away but we'll be back. I would give six stars if I could.

Starter very good main sunday lunch quantity over quality.allthough the place was extremely busy, the staff looked and sounded a wee bit stressed and fed up again could be the number of customers.

The food was lovely. The staff went above and beyond to make a evening, nice and relaxing. They moved us to a different table even without us asking as it was very noisy where we were sitting and my husband is partially deaf. Will definitely be going again.

We had a brilliant lunch there, the place is lovely, the staff were very welcoming and great-natured, and our server Lynda was fantastic. Lynda had such a positive attitude and was so nice and attentive making us feel welcome and we could see other diners loved engaging in conversation with Lynda which is always lovely to see. The food was tasty, loved the soup of the day with cauliflower, the roasts and the pie. The outdoor seating area is amazing and so beautiful definitely a place to go often in the summer but the interior was also beautiful and well kept. We will be back with more family!

Service and food are always impeccable. My family and I visited yesterday and Lynda served us, her customer service is brilliant, she makes everyone feel at ease. Loved the new alcohol free cocktails as well! We will be back soon

Mine and my boyfriends 4th time here for a Sunday roast and 3rd time being served by the lovely Linda who is a real asset to the team, so lovely, friendly and goes above and beyond each time she serves us :) Amazing as always and do lush veggie/vegan options, we never go anywhere else for our sunday roasts now, would highly recommend ❤️

Fabulous pub & restaurant!! Outside on a summers day is just beautiful & a winters night inside is so cosy.

A lovely afternoon spent with friends we all enjoyed everything I had signature burger best value for money I was stuffed when I left the table.

Two lovely evenings spent having dinner at the Fitzwilliam Arms. Both times the food was lovely - there was an excellent selection of food which was all clearly freshly prepared. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Chanél who served us on the second evening. We’ll definitely return again if we’re in the area.

Went on a Saturday night with my partner. Place has been tastefully renovated, gardens looked great (weather wasn’t up to sitting outside unfortunately). Food was v good and no long waits. Our server, Lynda, was a diamond! Friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Food and presentation is always important, but I do think the servers can make or break an evening out. Lynda made ours. Highly recommend newly refurbished Fitz.

Dog friendly pub. I always have the lamb skewer with a flatbread on the side. Massive fan of the pudding options especially the sticky toffee pudding!

Another great meal again at the Fitz last night. We ate in the beer garden this time as it was a perfect summers evening. Paul, Chanél and the team were as welcoming as always.

We came here a few days ago and had a lovely meal, food was top quality and the atmosphere in the pub was quaint. Our waitress vanessa was also very friendly. Would recommend

So tasty, very good, I like. I had de roast and the meat was so succulent and tender, it made me so happy. Service was good too, our waitress Vanessa was good 👌

Beautiful pub, popular locally. Friendly welcome and staff are good. Service was slow (an hour wait for main course with no starters) but I believe they were understaffed that evening. I have been before and everything was great. If the staff had said there was a delay it would have been better, and understandable. Tables around us were complaining but their expectations were not managed. Lillie was very good and helpful and Vanessa did apologise for the wait. We will return as food is good and plenty, choices are great and the beer is good too!

Lillie was a fantastic waitress, very attentive and polite. Vanessa was brilliant and swift to serve our drinks. Joe the chef did a great job with the food, everything was extremely tasty, thank you everyone for a lovely experience.

Went for Sunday lunch, upon arrival it was really busy but we was seated straight away, ordered drinks and Sunday lunch, drinks came out promptly but we waited absolutely ages for lunch, the vegetables arrived 5 minutes later after we complained and cauliflower cheese again we had to complain another 5 minutes later, my carrots were cold and my parsnips were hard to say the least. This was such a shame as we come here regularly and usually get a great service, I understand the wait due to then being busy but not about our food coming out staggered. We did receive an apology but no compensation at all. As I say its a great shame.

Amazing experience. Brilliant food. The venue is gorgeous with excellent decor. Very up class. Gorgeous area.. really impressed. Fab prices too. Portions were really generous especially for the money. Staff can't do.more for you. Fabulous. Keep it up !

Food quality was poor and not very hood on portions veg was raw not cooked roast potatoes were hard and tasteless cauliflower cheese was hard and burnt a very dissatisfied experience I was also poorly after the food on the toilet most of that evening.

Came to visit for a late lunch today with a friend. Halloumi skewer was cooked perfectly - thanks to all the kitchen team! Great service on the bar from Grady as well. Paul was very friendly too - he has great people skills! I come to this pub often and will return very soon for sure.

We were a family party of 5 having Sunday lunch. We were served by a really lovely waitress called Lynda. She was smiley and attentive. Just what makes eating out a pleasure. All of our meals were really good so compliments to the chef. Other members of staff were also noticeably attentive, for example my napkin fell off my lap and within seconds a waiter noted it and was there to pick it up - all these things add to the experience and I would most certainly recommend this pub
