Had a delicious meal & really wanted to say a big thank you to the staff for being so kind and accommodating as we were delayed arriving by my mum ending up in A&E. She was happy to be discharged in time to enjoy her food! Staff fab. Food fantastic. 5 🌟

Went for a meal with my family. Liam was our server and did a fantastic job and was attentive to us and it was evident that his top priority was to make sure we had a great experience. The food was amazing as well so well done to the kitchen!

We sent for a Sunday lunch, as a walk in and they we were able to be seated in the snug area Liam our server came to take our order, he was really helpful and very friendly and chatty which is nice to get communication and not just the basic, the food was really great, the service was amazing, we had main and dessert and would go back again.

Popped in for lunch, lovely food, lovely service from Becki & always a smile from Sam on the bar.

An excellent Sunday Roast with triple meats, a healthy serving of roasties, veg and gravy too. Service was a little slow at times but otherwise very friendly waiting staff - would definitely come back!

Our second visit to this charming pub in a tranquil village location. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly, polite and efficient staff, notably Becki who served us at our table. Food was tasty and portions very generous.

Mixed bkesdings sadly. First visit with my husband for Sun lunch. A busy atmosphere and pleasant decor. We ordered drinks a large chardonnay and a beer neither of which grabbed us for flavour and at £9.35 for the wibe a shock. For lunch I ordered roast beef which was delicious chunky meaty and flavoursome with rich gravy and a very tasty Yorkshire. My husband ordered turkey which was cut thinly and was dry and unappetising. After drawing this to the waitress attention she fet hed more on a separate plate. The accmpaniments were underwhelming carrots were black on my plate roast parsnips were thin and floppy, veg cabbage frozen peas and a few dwarf beans in a side dish. Roast pots were small and not crunchy. We were very hungry so ate it. As we were preparing to order dessert we were asked to move tables as a large party needed our area and we had been wrongly seated!!! We moved ordered coffee and ice cream and had a long wait as they lost where we were seated. Ice cream came and was eaten but no sign of coffee. We asked for the bill and the manager who was very pleasant listening to our complaints and agreeing things had not gone well. No compensation was offered so we asked for a discount which was readily given. We will go again just to see if we had an unfortunate experience.

Great food and friendly service. We were informed about a delay due to several large parties ahead of us, which was fine. Took a star off, due to the complete lack of action from the staff to deal with a customer with an extremely yappy dog, not what you want to hear consistently for a 10 minute period. I like dog friendly environments, but unfortunately not all owners can be trusted to have their animals behave, at this point staff should be confident enough to intervene, especially as it was plain for all to see that the dining room as a whole was unhappy with this noise.

Booked a table, last minute. Great food, attentive to allergies, not rushed at all. Izaak was welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. He ensured everything was up to expectations and was happy to make recommendations. A very pleasant all-around lunchtime experience.

It was a nice ambience pub but the service and food took a long long time. We were a group of 13 which I know adds up, but it was also a pre-booked lunch on a Tuesday early afternoon so I feel like there should have been some preparation for it. Dog friendly though!

Yesterday evening was our first visit and we would like to thank you so much for our enjoyable meals. The menu was very interesting and we could have chosen anything as everything looked very tempting. We had the olives for starters followed by lamb skewers with coleslaw and chips also the katsu curry with rice and chips. The table service from Caris was especially good so thank you all again we had a lovely evening and look forward to returning.

You’ve got to try the pizza . All I can say is wow. So so soft and full of flavour. Top food and cooked really. Thank you joe the chef . Will def be back and thanks Becki for your lovely approach and smile

Booked table for 4 over the telephone. On arrival I asked if the kitchen staff can prepare a SLIMMING WORLD dish for me as I’m on that program. They were helpful and suggest a grilled chicken plain boiled potatoes and plain green vegetables side. Extremely happy to be in a restaurant eating my own made up meal without drama. Thank you

Food was of a good standard without being exceptional. Service was good and engaging but understandably a little slow at times due to it being a full and busy restaurant.

Outstanding Sunday Roast with the family . Carys was our server who looked after us perfectly. We all enjoyed our meals with a special shout out to the amazing Roast Lamb, beautifully cooked as were all our meals...thank you Chefs . Lovely lunch with a pint of bitter shandy. Service was great. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Usual issue though. Wobbly table fixed with the usual folded napkin.posh Fish finger sandwich and beef brisket sandwich with lovely dipping gravy were lush.

Had a meal with family, we sat in the garden, it's a little confusing as to how you access outside, as you go in the pub only to go out the front to access the rear garden, even though they have french doors in the eating area. We enjoyed ourselves, the staff were friendly, the food was good, I would recommend it.

The food is a bit hit and miss here. It might be to do with different chefs working at different times. Sometimes the food is good . Recently had the beef dish but I wasn’t able to cut into the meat, it was very tough. My son also had the same experience. Once before he had a steak asked for it to be medium rare, it came as rare. On another occasion asked for the steak pie but it wasn’t available. First experience was good, won’t be going back again in a hurry.

Super nice inside, staff are friendly and accomodating. Food is quick and most importantly delicious. Interior is lovely and has a nice vibe. Always worth a visit 👌

Just a couple of issues with the food which were rectified satisfactorily. Apart from that the food was great. Service was top notch, especially Dannielle who was cheery, chatty and happy. Atmosphere was great. The outside welcomes you in, and the inside replicated the warmth. Lovely place for a family catch up. Will definitely go again. Just wish they did rooms to stay in too!

Good meal in a nice surroundings

My family and I had a lovely meal. From start to finish the service was brilliant. Liam was friendly, polite and helpful. I would total recommend going to the Fitzwilliam Arms if you’re looking for somewhere to have delicious food and great service in a nice atmosphere.

Food was exceptional and the service was the best we’ve had in a while. Lynda was so friendly and accommodating. She went out of her way to ensure the food I had was safe for me as I have an intolerance.

I was treated to a meal for my Birthday on Sunday. We all had the Sunday lunch , Meal was lovely , service excellent. One of our party had a milk allergy, they couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely return.

We have dined her a lot recently because we have been so impressed. However after a menu change this week the experience was lousy. I assume its cost engineering as every dish was just disappointing. Our crab, scallop and prawn starters we over cooked beyond belief. It felt like they had been heated in a microwave for a long time. The waiter said it was a brand new item on the menu and the chef might be getting used to the cooking requirements!!! Not great for us to be the guinea pigs. My main course of katsu curry rice bowl sounded great but again is was so average and lacking in any great flavour. My friend has prawn skewers and the prawns were bright white from freezer burn making the so unappealing to look at and cut around. We did provide some honest but very polite feedback but didnt ask for money off etc. We just said what a step backwards it was and how disappointing it is after so many great visits recently

Our table had mixed experiences, full breakfast ok but the eggs royale were disappointing as eggs put on just sliced soft roll ought to be toasted, couldn’t cut into hardly as just gunged up being soft worst of all the bit of salmon was about size of a 50p piece !!!!! Coffee was tepid , Probably should have complained but didn’t want to spoil our family dining by making a point Staff were pleasant

Had the pleasure of visiting this pub on the journey home from seeing family. I throughly enjoyed my visit, food is fantastic and drinks range is excellent, and my visit was topped off by outstanding service from a young Vanessa. Vanessa couldn’t do more for me, no task was an issue and always with a smile and positive attitude. Couldn’t fault the Fitzwilliam Arms in Marholm. 5 Stars

Served by manager, polite and professional but.....1 & 1/2 pints of Guiness and Black with 2 packs of crisps were £15.40. Feels like London prices..... Alhough its a nice place, there are other places just as nice or better which provide better value for money.

We were served by Lynda last Friday the 28th Feb , what a great server , polite , quick and always on hand if we needed anything else . Will definitely be back and hopefully served by the lovely Lynda .

Really good food, our waiter Paul was really friendly and attentive, an example being someone joking at the table they felt left out without crackling and he brought extra to the table without us asking! Pub itself is really nice and well presented with a lovely little garden too.

Crab cakes were cold & didn't taste of crab, definitely not worth the money. Pizza good but definitely do not pay for a topping £2 doesn't justify the tiny amount of toppings you get. Very disappointed, not worth the money

Never disappointed at the food in The Fitzwilliam Arm’s. Sunday dinner for a family of 4 (2 teenagers). Superb. Served today by Lynda, a true asset to your setting, best customer service we’ve had in ages… she needs to bottled.

Moved half way through meal to different table where we felt in the way, seems to only cater for large groups and ignore couples. Shame as food was great. Same guy had showed us to the original table without saying what food wasn't available or how to order. I believe he’s the manager! Decided to walk out (after paying!)

My wife, my son and I visit this venue on a fairly regular basis. The service is always at a good level, the food we always thought to be of a good standard, but today was left dissapointed. My wife enjoys the rib of beef bourguignon and decided to order that meal again. Usually there is nothing left on her plate other than the rib bone. Today at least half of what was served was left on the plate, a lot of fat, nothing like she has had served before. My son nearly always has a pizza, again generally very good, but today overcooked like cardboard. My meal was chicken served with chips and side salad, quite a tasty meal but the chicken was not hot, the chips were also only warm. I did mention to the waitress during payment the rib of beef being of poor standard compared to what I consider to be your usual standard, I know a meal of this type needs to be prepared in advance. i did not mention my dissatisfaction with the other meals as I did not want to burden the waitress more as she also had to deal with an admin error on the bill. I am leaving this review in the hope your standard of food served will improve, as I said previously we thought it to be value for money and of good quality, but not today.

Booked a table in the Dog friendly area'. Had to go to the bar to order drinks and food, when I've eaten in the restaurant, it's all table service. I guess I didn't get that memo. Still ate from the same menu, paid the same price, did not get the same service. Most likely won't go back.food was very good, but not hot, warm at best. I think they just forget about us. And was seated next to a cackling woman who split my eardrums and those of my guests who'd I'd invited to celebrate my birthday. Even the gril who seated us winced. Still. Live and learn.
