The best restaurants in East of England

Have eaten at No 29 on several occasions ( always wonderful) but never stayed but on this occasion International Premier League stayed as a birthday treat from family! Wow !!!!!!what can i say the room was outstanding (Hepburn) attention to detail in every corner and aspect, such a credit to your house keeping staff 1st class ( sometimes house keeping staff are forgotten and overlooked in reviews) Food amazing Service amazing Attention to detail amazing Will definitely return in the summer months when we can savour the outside space, Also love the fact you have kept the residence area more intimate from the public area A total credit to yourself and your AMAZING team

Poor service, food was ok and average. We live locally, won’t be returning.if you have a family with small children - please avoid this Pub they don’t want you

An exceptionally great pub. Still retains the feel of a village pub, but with the excellent food and service of a great restaurant

No booking prior, dropped in on a cold busy night. Greeted with a smile. Our hostess Cicely was great, always checking in to make sure we wanted for nowt, but never intrusive. The vegan spaghetti bolonagise with lentils was very tasty and the lentils added a good bite. Christmas special pigs in blankets, crispy sage carbonara was great. Recommendation to the chef to keep the crispy sage as this adds another element to a classic. Pigs in blankets, my eyes were bigger than my belly. Thank you Cicely for looking after us.

Brilliant food, they catered for my nut allergy amazingly. Served by Cintia, service was really good and the atmosphere was really nice as well!

One of the better restaurants in Elveden. Christine, who looked after us, was a gem, both helpful and amusing. She was very attentive to our son with learning difficulties and also to our toddler granddaughter The food was very nice too.

Meal out with friends , the service was really professional & swift given how busy they were . I had fish and chips . The fish had no flavour but the batter was nice and crispy but again no flavour the chips were not all properly cooked and served tasteless peas . I had sticky toffee pudding which had been heated in a microwave as it was ridiculously hot but the vanilla ice cream was the best I had tasted in a very long time .

Wow- fantastic food, great service and atmospheric surroundings- what more could you ask for? We had the special meze and we were really happy with both the quantity and the quality of the food - the lamb chops were mouthwateringly delicious.I highly recommend a visit

Nothing much wrong with the food here. Nice if you can get a table in the bar area especially if you are meeting people however the restaurant closes early & I was advised you really need to leave once you've finished eating, so no late chats with friends. The bar tables cannot be booked so not a venue you feel comfortable using as a catch up spot with friends & family. Disappointing, but I suppose this system works for them.

Recibimos una amable bienvenida en este restaurante luminoso y moderno y nos ofrecieron una opción de dos mesas - afortunado momento ya que el restaurante estaba lleno y nos alegramos de haber reservado. La comida era buena y todo el mundo tenía mucho cuidado con las alergias que tenemos dos de nosotros. Este restaurante ofrece más opciones para personas con alergias que muchos otros restaurantes. Sin duda volveríamos la próxima vez que estemos en Cambridge.

What a amazing meal we had last night - food was amazing and the staff so friendly and accommodating def be back soon

We had dinner here and it was so lovely. The service was great, staff amazing and the food was just so yummy! Would highly recommend. This is the second time I’ve been and it was just as good. Can’t wait to try their award winning roast!

I have always loved ‘Love Thy Burger,’ but unfortunately, I have to leave a poor review for the Colchester branch. We ordered our food, and they missed a burger as well as served us regular fries, even though we ordered and paid for rosemary fries, which cost more. We received our three burgers and the wrong fries, and they apologies when they realised they had missed a burger. We waited 15 minutes and had to go up and ask for our food. They then offered a refund but did not serve the missing burger. Obviously, that wasn’t good enough, so we had to argue for a refund for the last burger and get our last burger. On top of that, our burgers were cold. My theory is that there is too much for them to handle with takeout, and they prioritize takeout over seated customers.

Food was good, took a while to take our order but we once the order was taken service was spot on. Atmosphere was ok, the lights were dull but very white if that makes sense and with plain white walls, didn’t create much of an atmosphere

First time here,the food was excellent,had the prawn Puri for starters and the black pepper chicken for main, and it was superb. Great service and great ambience. My only criticism would be that i was cold ,heating could have been higher.
