The coffee was great; however, it was a shame I couldn’t go inside because they do not have a wheelchair accessible entrance. There are two steps to get into the café. It still shocks me to see businesses without a portable ramp or step-free access.
The barista was lovely and apologised to my carer about my inability to enter. It is the management’s responsibility to ensure that their business is accessible for all, and that no one is discriminated against based on disabilities.
I hope that the owners/management see my review and take necessary steps to resolve this issue. After that, I will be happy to amend my review.
We went with my daughter recently for an evening meal and having been before expected nice food. My wife and I ordered the meat lasagne and although it tasted ok we had a real job finding much if any meat in it. secondly for dessert I had apple pie and custard, when it arrived the pie was in a flan base rather than pastry and the custard was tepid. My wife and daughter had bread and butter pudding. This consisted of a teacake cut up and then tepid custard again poured over it. The treacakes weren't cooked in milk etc. and were tough to eat. The desserts in particular disappointed us. Therefore I can only give the Minori an average rating. Please try harder to improve your desserts.
Used to like the food from here then it all changed 6 months or so ago
The French fries are like cardboard, the beef burgers are tough, the pizzas are so greasy it's all you can taste! The lamb donner well there ain't no lamb in that anyone tastes like a mix of turkey/chicken
Seems to have hit rock bottom with the quality sadly
Edit I suggest you try to eat what you cook! The pizzas are swimming in grease they taste horrible. Haven't ordered from you lol ordered plenty of food otherwise how would I know it's gone down hill with bad quality? I've got better things to do than leave false reviews for places
First experience this evening and came away thoroughly impressed , food was wonderful , interesting flavours and freshly cooked . Staff all lovely and our waitress Lauren really was friendly and so professional , good staff are very hard to come by but these ladies were a credit to the restaurant
We popped in on a Thursday evening with our minds focused on a great steak and spatchcock chicken, but we were tempted by the specials, the soup and Brie bites were both excellent. Mains, I had the beef and mushroom pie , mash and fresh vegetables, I couldn’t fault it, fresh and filled with flavours, excellent. My wife had the schnitzel which was light and a real delight, the pasta was amazing and very filling.
No room for a desert unfortunately, next time.
Well done to the Queens Room team. Thank you.
Never disappointed with the food here. Always fresh and cooked perfectly, love the fresh side salads and onions that come with the Tikka / Sheek kebab starters. Great range of mains and veg side dishes, particularly like the saag aloo and Brinjal Bhaji.
Was worried when they moved premises a few years ago, but the food is still excellent. Always collect but did get delivery a few years back during covid times, the food always arrived piping hot.
An excellent restaurant in a small village. The lady who looked after us was welcoming and the food was enjoyable. No problem getting a booking as it is big inside.
Tried this pizza restaurant in Berkhamsted for the first time for Bank Holiday dinner at 7.30pm. The whole experience was very strange. Not really sure how a restaurant like this exists in Berkhamsted as it is completely different to all other restaurants in the area. They didn’t seem to have anything in stock. There was one guy running the place. He said he only had 2 orange drinks left so my kids had orange and I had to go for a Diet Coke even though thats not what I wanted!! . How can a restaurant not have any drinks?
I ordered Piccante pizza which should have had chilli peppers and oregano, sausage and red peppers on it. It came with only sausages and red peppers on top. So he clearly did not have the ingredients in stock to put on the pizza. What a complete joke! So it was just lots of red peppers with a few slices of sausages with no flavour at all. See photo.
2 kids and 2 adults we had 4 pizzas and 4 soft drinks for £63 which for a place like this is a complete waste of money. It was cash only so they don’t accept cards yet he did not have enough cash for giving change back.
The whole experience was just odd. Not sure if we were there on a bad day or if its always like that but we will most certainly not be returning. When you order a pizza you expect all the ingredients specified on the menu to be put on the pizza!!
Often visit here for a treat Saturday mornings, good offerings at reasonable prices. Looks a bit dated but adds to the experience as been there a long time! Love the iced buns
