A great meal at this eatery, very, very good food, the service from the staff was very good, the chef came out in person to ask if everything was to our liking, food so fresh and healthy, we could eat here every night.. kind and thoughtful people. Will defiantly return on our next visit.

I read about how good this Thai restaurant was and it didn’t disappoint - the waitress who greeted us was very friendly and polite and she’s also the niece of the cook and owner of the restaurant - the food was fresh and delicious. The main dining area and toilets were ultra clean with fresh towels to dry your hands. We will definitely be back - it was a shame to see only 2 tables being used as the restaurant deserves more trade - if you like authentic Thai food please give this place a go

Embarrassed to say we haven't been back to Halesworth Thai Restaurant for a few years. It really is the best place ever for food and we eat out a lot. Not only is the food outstanding but the service is just unique. The owner/chef comes for a chat which is just lovely then asks how you like your Thai food to taste. Everything is just so fresh, the best quality. Also the lovely waitress who is the chefs niece is just so sweet and attentive, always coming back to see if we would like a refill and to see if everything was ok. I don't usually like to talk to people i dont know, yet i actually really enjoyed chatting with them. Shame to see it so quiet. I highly recommend 👌 only open Thursday, Friday & Saturdays. (The mixed starter is a must and also the giant king prawn oyster cashew nut dish 😋)

Quirky, super food, unique. The excellent food is prepared, cooked & presented by the Thai lady owner, she is charming, the meal takes a little time to come & is part of the charm of the restaurant & is cash only.

Visited as a group of friends on a Friday night. We were warned ahead there was a party and there may be a delay on the food. I’m reality there wasn’t much of a wait. The food was beautifully presented, seasoned perfectly and delicious. It looked like the tomatoes were home grown. At the end of the evening the chef came out to meet her guests. A lovely, friendly and amazing woman. It’s incredible that she makes all this delicious food all by herself. The restaurant was full and she, alone, cooked it. She had help on the waitressing front but you would never guess the standard of food and presentation of the food was all produced by one person alone. Amazing.

Hmmm, after reading previous reviews, we were expecting something special, but it was not to be. Food was average, and heavily overpriced for its lack of quality and taste. Service was shockingly bad with only on waitress on. Bless her, she was doing the job of 2 people. Food took a very long time to come to the tableas we found out that there was only the owner in the kitchen doing all thd cooking, so prepare for a long wait and the restaurate wasn't even that busy. Overall , it was adequate, but again somewhat overpriced. Don't think we'll be making a return visit.

Authentic Thai, quiet ambiance, lovely food as ever.

Had a takeaway from here. Absolutely amazing food, the ambience inside for dining in seems pleasant and the staff were polite and helpful. Takeaway was timed perfectly for our estimated arrival. Be prepared with cash beforehand as there are no ATMs that are open after hours in Halesworth!

Rang for a take away at 8:20 in the evening and they said they’ve stopped serving food. I wouldn’t say I rang at an unreasonable time AND it also states they’re open till 9:30.

This restaurant has a lot of good reviews, I don’t want to spoil the party. I found this restaurant to be the worst of ever had. My Wife and I left the food uneaten, paid the bill and walked out because the restaurant was full of people we didn’t want to make a fuss. This is the first time that we have ever walked out of the restaurant because of the poor quality food. we eat Thai food all the time so we are very familiar with Thai cuisine.

Friends seem to like it here, sadly myself and husband didn’t. Pad Thai was dreadful, sloppy with hardly any noodles, vegetable green curry lacked vegetables with only a few bits of broccoli, cauli and cucumber (odd), it was nice and spicy though. Service was fine, but it all felt a bit dated.

Have been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time and since moving to Halesworth, we had the opportunity last night with family members to fulfil our ambition. Wow! We were not disappointed. The squid was the best we have had anywhere in the world and we definitely intend to use this restaurant more frequently. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is excellent. We first started coming here with our twins in 2006 and have been enjoying delicious food and fabulous service ever since. We love it and highly recommend you visit if you like beautiful Thai food in a traditional family business

Delicious freshly cooked to order food in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Friendly staff who have a very good understanding of food intolerances and a willingness to make changes to dishes to accommodate.

Lovely friendly atmosphere. We had a 7pm booking and it was already full. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. An absolute hidden gem.

Went here with some work friends never had Thai before it was amazing food and lovely people that run it loved it so much my wife and I are having a date night there this week 😋😋

Great food wine a bit pricey would use again

We come to Suffolk every year and one of the highlights is visiting this restaurant to have an authentic Thai meal. We cannot fault the staff and owners and they go out there way to accommodate in any way they can. I would suggest booking a table to avoid disappointment, as you cannot just rock up and order a takeaway if it’s busy.

We are visiting Halesworth and wanted to order a takeaway on our last night and were told because the restaurant is fully booked they don’t do takeaways. Never heard of this anywhere we have stayed before. Very strange. Shame!

This food is very much worth the money. Authentic and fresh every time. I have only ever had a takeaway from here, never eaten in but it is always exceptional.

Our recent visit, was a big disappointment. The food was bland, salty and not authentic as the claims. I visited here with various friends previously and it was brilliant. Two years on its gone down. The staff were efficient enough though lacking in any engagement or smiling. Such a pity.

2 or less would be harsh in my experience for first time. Food was ok and bland. Took a ges FCC get to our table and some food was warm and some wasn’t. BUT staff was nice and talkative. Wouldn’t go there often though.

Selected again for a family birthday by us. And rightly so. We’re so lucky to have this little authentic Thai restaurant not far away. The owners are the loveliest of people, and Piek invariably serves up wonderful, fresh, super-tasty authentic Thai food. And always lovely service with a smile and friendly chats.

It's so difficult to get a delicious, authentic Thai meal using only fresh ingredients yet here in sleepy Halesworth we are blessed. The food is incredible and the hosts are absolutely charming. They say you can judge hygiene standards by the condition of the loos - well they are gleaming and even the individual hand towels beautifully folded into swans - such attention to detail. I accidentally walked into the kitchen and was so impressed; it wasn't an industrial machine turning out a conveyor belt of food, every dish was individually nurtured with great care. The atmosphere isn't buzzy, it's peaceful and relaxing - just how I like it. Singtong Neeyom is among my top three restaurants ever.

What a great find!! Outstanding freshly cooked flavoursome food. Friendly welcome, great service and an extensive menu. We opted for the set menu for 4 so we could try several different dishes, they were all gorgeous!! Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend. Great value for money too!!

20th of February 2021. The meal we have had tonight from this restaurant, has been the best they have ever cooked. They have excelled themselves. Sweet and sour chilli chicken and Salmon fish curry....extra chilli in both dishes. Delicious. So good.

Had a lovely meal here last night. Excellent food and charming service. The couple who own the restaurant take a lot of effort to ensure you enjoy the evening. Very comfortable with the COVID-19 steps they take and the restaurant is spotless.

Having recently moved to Halesworth we ordered a takeaway a few days ago. It was lovely and we will definitely come here again and will probably order one for my sister who loves thai food

The food is fantastic, the owners lovely and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Piek was lovely, cooking fresh food for us, so we could avoid ingredients that we didn't like. The Tom Kha Gai was outstanding. The lemon chicken fresh and delicious. The pad thai with king prawns highly recommended. It was a little cool ( temperature), so wear warm clothes ( October). But this was one of the best Thai meals that we have eaten.

Outstanding quality of food, prepared by a family that clearly know exactly how it should be done. Make sure you book ahead, not because it’s full, but because being a small family business it is not open every single night. Superb genuine service, great value, a truly faultless expression of Thai food. If you are near, don’t miss out.

We thought that the place lacked any atmosphere, the food was bland and unimaginative, the service was so-so,they do not accept any cards, there are no 24 hour cash machines in Halesworth any more so come prepared!

My family and I visited this restaurant twice in one week because it was so good! We have a house in Southwold and had never been to this restaurant before and had heard about it through a family friend. The food is absolutely delicious, all homemade by Piek and her charming husband Allan is so warm and friendly and the kindest waiter we've ever had. The restaurant has a very relaxing vibe and both Allan and Piek make you feel very welcome and are happy to help as much as they can. We can particularly recommend the duck spring rolls, seabass thai curry, beef with red chilli and holy basil, and the delicious homemade prawn crackers to nibble on. We will definitely be visiting again in the future. The menu has such a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

Delicious Food cooked from the heart. Homely atmosphere-you feel like you have been transported to a Thai living room. Perfect date night or family meal venue. Owner makes you feel very welcome and was able to help with flavor combinations. Warm Saki and a little vinegary pickled cue on side = winner. Caters for dietary needs-I’m a coeliac & there was no problem. Can’t wait to return. A lovely local, independent place for a pm meal treat.

Considering how well we were looked after and fed, we were surprised to be one of only two groups in the restaurant on a Saturday night. It’s not often I can say I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of every course, from the fantastic mixed starters, to a superb and authentic green curry and an amazing banana base Thai dessert. A wonderful flavoursome meal, of freshly cooked items. 10/10 for everything. And the owners and staff are so lovely and friendly, but not at all overbearing. It’s a long time since we we were last here; it won’t be that long until the next visit!. I know Piek and her husband are both well past most people’s retirement age, but you wouldn’t think it for the enthusiasm and energy they have. And after tonight I hope it will be a long time before the hang up the aprons for good!

I went to this restaurant with my husband (without the kids) on a Saturday evening. We were welcomed and seated in a friendly manner. The food is authentic and delicious but unfortunately they were quite busy and service was slow (we were not in a hurry so it didn’t matter to us) but one of the main reasons it was slow is because the food is prepared and cooked from fresh and worth the wait.

Saturday night first time here, reception good, starters good but downhill from then, main course had one wrong order, quickly resolved, but generally the food lukewarm, thing is not many in restaurant, so would expect better, I think all restaurants work better when more diners in! we foolishly accepted prawn crackers only to find them being the most expensive ones ive ever tasted, but pretty good anyway, it does list them on the menu as chargeable. Allan charming but I wouldn't embarrass him, we caught it at the wrong time, the food not so good and ive been eating Chinese/Thai for years, why was it lukewarm yet the plates came out very hot? explained to waitress who said she would relay my concern could have been easily resolved if I had been offered the chance to warm it all up.

I worked in Thailand for 3.5 years & this is easily the closest food I've had in the UK. The Tom Yam soup was ridiculous! Definitely recommended.

it has been a while since I visited this restaurant in Halesworth the last visit as I recall was very good and the recent one was excellent. The food is very authentic and the staff very attentive about looking after their customers . I can only but recommend this restaurant to any one who happens to be in the area .

Had booked a table but due to family illness had to cancel so had a takeaway instead. Food was ready for the time I was given and still very hot by the time I got home. Food was amazingly fresh and everything tasted delicious. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

We visited here for supper on a Saturday evening, there were two other tables ( one larger table ) but the restaurant was quiet. We enjoy Thai food and have travelled to Thailand on 3 occasions, so have some idea what it should be like.

As we live locally we thought we would try this Thai restaurant which is run by a lovely couple. It’s open between half six and half nine four days a week . They were talkative and welcoming and was a fantastic meal. The mixed platter starter was fantastic as was everything we then ate. My only problem was picking a dessert that was too sweet but I wanted to try something new . I think people should bear in mind this is a small restaurant and not a chain and everything is cooked from scratch and not prefrozen . It’s like having a meal with friends and allow two to two and a half fours for a full three course meal. It will not disappoint and we will be going again. Loved it as we all did .

The best sweet and sour chicken I’ve ever had! It was freshly made and extremely flavoursome. The lovely waitress provided us with great service throughout our meal also.

I do not understand the odd bad review unless they are simply malicious. Don't take any notice because the food is really lovely as are the owners. We visit the area regularly and try and get there at least once while we stay.

The Best Thai food I have ever eaten, I travel to Thailand every year and even the Four Seasons cookery school in Chang Mai could do with a lesson.

The chef, Piek, prepares some of the very best Thai food that I've tasted outside of Thailand itself.

Staying in the area on holiday and fancied oriental cuisine, so drove to the town only to find out the restaurant is CLOSED when the website clearly states it is open Wednesdays. However, we ended up finding a rigal restaurant who got our money instead!

The best Thai restaurant, with the nicest owners. My family has been eating there for approx 12 years now & we adore everything & everyone there. Not cheap but excellent quality & real Thai food.

What can I say, this restaurant serves really good food. Yes, it can be a little pricey, but I really think it's worth it. Service can be a little slow at times, but the waiter is an elderly gentleman (I think the owner), but he really does try hard to make your dining experience as relaxing as he can. The chef is from Thailand, so the food is authentic, and it's all served very promptly. Don't forget to try out their prawn crackers... They are homemade and a touch spicy! Really good.

My fiancé and I are on holiday in the area and have just eaten here.
