Lovely flavours. The staff will try to accommodate all requests . Highly recommended. For ages, my favourites were the Gurkha chicken and Chicken tikka balti, but the Vegetable and Paneer Kasmiri is fantastic. Paired with mushroom rice , Bombay potatoes and a Paneer Shashlik , and a few pints of Kingfisher, and every night here becomes a joy. Genuinely . Great people . Great food . Great beer . A finalist in the recent ‘English Curry Award’ competition and let’s be honest , they should have won…. They’re so friendly and make you feel at home.Honestly they deserve multiple awards for it super child friendly and the food is impeccable . Ps:The second part and photos were by my son

Highly recommend this authentic Indian restaurant. The staff are amazing Sam always greets you with a big smile, the food is really delicious and definitely worth a visit. They also have Kingfisher and Cobra on tap.

Just had a Friday night curry with the wife and the meal was superb the butterfly king prawn & fish samosa starters were divine and the harri-Ali chicken was amazing the whole meal was spiced to perfection if you like your curries and have not yet eaten at The Royal Bengal Willingham you need a visit I’m sure you will enjoy

I don’t normally write reviews but after visiting again I felt I had to. From the warm welcome we received from Sam & his staff, the friendly atmosphere & delicious food, this Indian restaurant never fails to deliver. I would recommend a visit to anyone in the area

My partner and I love the Royal Bengal's food - our curry of choice is a dhansak and theirs is absolutely unbeatable as far as we're concerned (and we've eaten a lot of dhansak in our time!). Always a friendly greeting when you collect your order and the food is always piping hot and cooked to perfection. Very lucky to have them on our doorstep :)

Food is ok, find chicken tough in passanda, and prices have all crept up for takeout. Food quality doesn’t justify this.

Fantastic place, located in the centre of the village with very welcoming staff who went above to make sure we enjoyed ourselves! Really nice and modern interior design and amazing food! Very pleased with the cost as well being very reasonable for money!

We greatly enjoyed the excellent authetic Indian quisine, in a comfortable atmosphere. The service couldnt be better with attentative, fast, friendly attention. The five star recommendation also reflect the quality of the food, drink and value for money. Perfect evening of food and wine.

They made my noon a very good noon, it was excellent half day lunch, and really very nice food, i had their lamb biryani with a restaurant suggestion of curry sauce, it was really a match what i use to eat in India, and the taste is really consistent and nice, and apart from that, the staff was humble and a big thanks to shonku.

Had. A big order for family everything was accurately packed and was hot till i came home. Decent people, and very nice service. Shonku was with us and and gave us one starter for try, it was delicious. Overall the experience was really fantastic. And now i am their constant.

I always order the same (saag aloo as a main with onion rice) sometimes I get onion bajis and it is always consistently good! This is the only place I can eat an Indian meal and enjoy it, without my mouth burning from the spices. The staff are polite and friendly too 😃

14 of us retired old gits met up here in a work reunion. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the food was superb, service great. We were there over four hours and were never made to feel that we had outstayed our welcome. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we plan to do it again next year. As it was a Tuesday night, we had the place to ourselves. Many thanks.

Excellent local curry house. Went here with friends and had a lovely meal. Food was excellent, friendly service and they offered us a Baileys on the house when we paid the bill. Great to have this restaurant on our doorstep and I’ll be making a return trip with the family soon.

We dined in the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Good selection of dishes, on the menu, with a mix to suit most tastes. The courses we chose were not your standard English takeaway and were fabulous. The staff managed to be both attentive and privacy. Highly recommended.

Had the same meal as two weeks ago, Chefs Special , but wasn`t as good. Hardly any chicken but chunky lamb, a bit tough. Disappointed but will probably try it again at some stage.

I ordered food 90 minutes ago. It's still not here. Empty beer glass now. Asked for a refill 30 minutes ago. Sat here waiting. Zzzzzzzzzz. Hope the food is better than the service. I'll be walking out soon.. First and last time here.

Ordered takeaway Saturday night and was very disappointed. The chicken was tough and dry with a funny taste. I would guess chicken from the previous nights service. Hopefully not recycled from people's plates but certainly tasted like it. Onion bhajees were hard and dry and the salad certainly not fresh. Just really bad, and not cheap to deliver the final blow.

I had families visiting us from aboard and I ordered take away on Sunday night 20 Aug, very disappointed. I was wondering somethings gone wrong in the kitchen maybe they mixed up salt and sugar?? All the food I ordered taste very very sweet!! We ordered four different Traditional Specialities, butter chicken, Masala Prawn, Korai vegetable and Jalfrezi Chicken, they all taste very sweet!! Absolutely not a normal taste of Indian food I've ever tried, no one likes the food and all food went to the bin. Never again.

This is a great indian restaurant, been here a few times now and thought I'd leave a review this time as it really was a very enjoyable experience. Starting with the service, the guys all had a smile on them and were very attentive. Then on to the food, we were a party of four and we all commented on how tasty the food was. I had the Chicken Tikka Balti and the sauce was one of the best I'd tasted. Kingfisher beer on draft and they even offered a complementary Brandy after we had settled up!!

First time visiting the restaurant last Friday, we went as a group of 12 and sat on the left hand side by the bar. The restaurant was quiet for a Friday evening at 8pm, service was quick. The on tap beer kingfisher wasn't great and seemed watery so I'd go for bottled cobra. The food was actually great, the tastiest chicken tikka masala I've had in a very long time. Bombay aloo was also tasty. Toilets could do with being serviced through the night as they got fairly dirty as the evening went on

My name is Rakesh my wife and son traveled from Birmingham to cambridge we orderd food for takeaway. When we opened the butter chicken, no way does it look taste or smell like the dish we are used to, i orderd balti chicken and all i could taste was lemon, no spice at all it was tangy, my mrs had allo goobi and she might as well have ordered dessert. By far the worst indian food we have ever tasted. it went strait in the bin I dont know how the people eat there on a regular basis, the chefs needs to come to the midlands and see how real authentic indian food should look, taste and smell like. I thought long and hard before writing this but it has to be done

We are firm regulars here, each time we go we are never disappointed. The food gets better and better. The service is excellent, so friendly and always informative helping us choose different dishes each time. They even adapt dishes if you need them to. Curry is our favourite food and Royal Bengal has been our favourite Indian restaurant for some time now. We’re so lucky to have this in the village. We go as a couple, with other couples and sometimes with the whole extended family. Highly recommend.

We only use the Royal Bengal for takeaway meals, mainly because we have some Chinese dishes too as hubby isn’t too keen on spicy food. Takeaways are always ready or only a few minutes wait. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Occasionally, the curry does vary but we guess they may have multiple chefs in the kitchen. Overall food is good but you may need to ask for certain dishes spiced up a little. Overall a good Indian and luckily in our village!

Food can be hit or miss but usually good. Pleased they survived covid era and we tend to get a takeaway Sunday evening.

I had a Jalfrezi with rice and nan. The Jalfrezi was thicker-sauced and had more of ab urn than I was expecting. I'd asked for chicken but this was 100% vegetables. Not bad though. Service was pretty good despite they being busy.

Fab Indian Cuisine Staff really nice! And eager to please! I like a Vindaloo, but always like to have it hotter! The chef was more than happy to increase the heat for me!!
