We both love Indian food & have experienced Indian restaurants around the world. This restaurant is exceptional. The atmosphere is welcoming & all the staff were so warm & friendly. The food is superb. We chose vegetable masala & chicken tawa as our main dishes with tandoori chicken & mixed kebabs as starters. They were divine. Congratulations & thank you to everyone at Royal Bengal.

Spent £130 on takaway tonight all food was stone cold. We were told to collect at 7.30 but went early at 7.15 and food was waiting, dread to think how cold it woild have been if we went at 7.30. This is unacceptable.

My husband and I were delighted to find this restaurant in Willingham. We were new to Indian cuisine and asked the owner to bring us a sample of menu flavours. We enjoyed a fabulous meal of lamb, chicken, shrimps, veggies and naan. The bottle of Malbec we chose went perfectly with our meal. Our restaurant host couldn’t have been more gracious. We both highly recommend this restaurant.

My partner and I had a couple of lovely vegan curries, they were delicious and served by very friendly staff who made the whole evening very enjoyable.

Four of us went on a Friday evening. The service was faultless. We had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and were nit rushed. The food was great, we all enjoyed everything we ordered, and the portions were very generous. We will definitely be going back.

the royal bengal is an absolute pleasure to dine in , the staff are so friendly and greet you with humour and smiles , the service is very quick , they are really helpful with your order and make sure you pick the right meal based on what you like , the food is 10/10 everything is so flavourful and comes out steaming hot everytime , one of if not the best curry houses in the UK , highly recommend stopping by if you have the chance

Highly recommend this authentic Indian restaurant. The staff are amazing Sam always greets you with a big smile, the food is really delicious and definitely worth a visit. They also have Kingfisher and Cobra on tap.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant a few times & the food is always delicious & hot. The curry’s are top notch & the portion sizes are very generous. The service is excellent as is the ambience of the restaurant. The best Indian in Cambridge in my opinion. You must eat here!!

Worst Indian food ( They say Indian but it’s all bangaladeshi ) . Butter chicken is nowhere close to what it should be and garlic naan doesn’t have any garlic on it. Paneer buna was only feels like eating onion. Being a pure Indian ( not only having Indian origin) this is a proper insult on Indian food and for our money. Very disappointed.

I write it in Chinese specifically, hoping that more Hong Kong people will eat at this Indian restaurant. The food tastes very good, the service attitude is very warm and friendly, the environment is very clean, and the boss is also hospitable. It is worth a visit. At the same time, you can feel the characteristics of other local ethnic groups.

Love the Bengal - we've been regulars since we moved, and always greeted by a friendly face. Excellent food every time.

If we’re thinking of ordering a curry (which is rare, probably about twice a year), we’ll always choose Royal Bengal, it’s our closest one. Every time we’ve ordered from them, I’ve had no complaints whatsoever. Their portion sizes are amazing and every now and then, they’ll even throw in freebies.

Really good food, curry’s all have a distinct flavour and haven’t had a bad curry yet. Staff really friendly and look after regulars!

It's a Friday night and 4 of us went down for a standard meal (poppadoms and a main) which was extremely delightful. We had heard many a good review but a consistent one bad thing about it. We've heard curry wasn't hot enough when it comes out separately (most places do this). I can tell you now, ours was bloody boiling, mine even came out in a frying pan, still sizzling. So unsure what these people where talking about. Two of us had chicken tikka masala with white rice and a plain nann and all of that was pretty much devoured part from a bit of rice from and older person. A chicken madras with plain nann and pilau rice, he said its the hottest (spice) he's had for a very long time and devoured it all. I had a lamb gurkha which was very nice, mildly spiced (prefer it that way) with onion rice and garlic nann, I too devoured it all. Was a lovley quiet night there (7pm) and the staff were excellent, a bit shy, but lovley and professional and we paid on 94 quid for 4 of us all included. The only reason I put 3 for atmosphere, is because it was quiet and I didn't experience a busy night. But I'm not letting that ruin it and all 4 of us said well go back again.

We have been eating at The Royal Bengal for many years, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food a good standard. However, in the past year the food and service seems to have improved again, some lovely detail in the meal that elevated it from just good to really excellent. My wife enjoyed the Tandoori Salmon and I had Chicken Tikka Dansak and my daughter the Chicken Korma, with some additional sides, breads and rice to share. It was all beautifully presented and delicious. Thoroughly recommend the restaurant.

Lovely flavours. The staff will try to accommodate all requests . Highly recommended. For ages, my favourites were the Gurkha chicken and Chicken tikka balti, but the Vegetable and Paneer Kasmiri is fantastic. Paired with mushroom rice , Bombay potatoes and a Paneer Shashlik , and a few pints of Kingfisher, and every night here becomes a joy. Genuinely . Great people . Great food . Great beer . A finalist in the recent ‘English Curry Award’ competition and let’s be honest , they should have won….
