Had a lovely evening with family, celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary - the staff were so polite & attentive Everyone in our party agreed that the food was amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone & we will be back soon :)

Great amongst standard UK 'take away' curry houses. Go: for a friendly service and for UK influenced 'Indian food'. Don't go: if you are looking for authentic desi food, that you actually eat in Indian subcontinent.

Received the wrong order as I didn’t specify a masala rather than just chicken tikka, rang and they have sent out the original order and kept the first order all of which is very flavoursome and brought the new order within 20 minutes. Will definitely be ordering again.

Visited with three generations of our family from across the country and all agreed just great! Firstly and mainly the food is tasty, well portioned, well presented and excellently spiced. The staff are friendly and the prices very reasonable. We don't go often but we have been going for many years, and we know we can rely on really good food regardless of the order: meat or vegee, hot or mild. I'm always dubious of just praise reviews so for the negatives I would say I find the acoustics difficult in one of the rooms. Not sure what they could do but it can be difficult to hear others on your own table. As I'm gluten/wheat intolerant I have no fear of real Indian cooking just avoid the breads, but would be nice to be clear on the menus. It would be good if the drinks where listed on the website as two of the three main beers are wheat based and luckily I knew Tiger was not, and a pity they don't serve Guinness any more like they used too. Overall a fantastic restaurant and I'm jealous of those who also have this as there local Indian as a restaurant or takeaway.

Very helpful staff who helped me organise the booking over the phone and nothing was too much trouble. Extremely welcoming staff upon arrival who brought drinks and food promptly.

Fantastic food and could be one of the best curry house in the area. The curry is cooked to your liking. Unlike to other curry house, they seems to use less oil to cook which has completely change my perception of take away food = unhealthy. Will definitely pay another visit in future.

If you think all Indian restaurants are much the same, give Tamarind a try. Many of the names of the dishes are familiar, but they are prepared with care and attention to blending and contrasting flavours. Other dishes are less familiar and again demonstrate why the chef has won awards. We will be back.

Consistency is the word I’d best describe the Tamarind. Been going to the restaurant for years now and every time it’s been a delight. Great choices of food and drink. The curry’s are one of the best I’ve had ever. The staff are incredibly friendly and a right laugh! Always look forward to going there.

Very nice decor , nice and cool very comfortable seating area the staff are very friendly and help you with picking the best dish suitable to your taste 10/10 place to dine in or take out I would definitely like to come back to dine in and get the full experience

Spent a lovely evening with friends in this very clean very bright and very enjoyable curry house The service was excellent. Food was tasty and enjoyable, and I will certainly return- special mention to the waiters who were always on hand to assist any extra drinks et cetera. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area

I live in Cardiff and always ask to come here when visiting family in the area. Excellent food, service is great always really friendly and an all round good experience.

I was disappointed with the inconsistent food quality at Tamarind Indian Cuisine. While some dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, others were bland and lacked authenticity. For a restaurant that prides itself on offering authentic Indian cuisine, the disparity in taste and presentation was disappointing. It felt like the kitchen lacked consistency, which detracted from what could have been a much better dining experience.

Ok. Food was ace, service Very good. Overall really enjoyed our meal and would go back. The staff here were very friendly and great with our younger son as he ordered his meal. Portion sizes are very good and plenty of meat in the curries. The naan was cooked exactly how I like them, pillowy soft with some nice cosy bits too. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food we ordered. Prices were fair for a village just outside of Cambridge centre too. I only say this next bit to ask you to look past it and not be put off and head in for the food as you'll hopefully enjoy it as much as we did. If the guys just gave this a tidy up outside it really would go a long way. Cardboard in the car park, astro grass at the front ripped out and laying on the path. All simple jobs that go a long way to help with first impressions.

My visit to Tamarind Indian Cuisine was marred by exceptionally poor service. Despite the restaurant not being busy, our orders took an unusually long time to arrive, and when they did, they were lukewarm. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, making the dining experience quite frustrating. Definitely not a place I would recommend for anyone looking for prompt service and attentive staff.

Absolutely fantastic food and service.

The food is very good I have been a number of times both for sit down and takeaway. However, not sure if staff have changed feel very rushed last few times from the ordering process to leaving the restaurant. The last two times by 9.30 to 9.40 at the latest they want you to leave. At the weekend when you haven’t eaten till 8.30 this is very early. I appreciate they want to go home but it shows the restaurant is hope till 10.30

As a wheelchair user this restaurant has gone the extra mile, with a sturdy ramp at the entrance, wide doors an tables high enough to get my chair armrests under an comfortable..warm inside with good decor. The food was tasty and plentiful.i had chicken biryani and loved it , my guests had a mixed selection off the menu and everyone was delighted.food and drink between 4 of us was roughly £30 a head which we thought was good value. Staff we very good too.loads of parking ensures we will return vey soon. They had disabled toilet fcilities too.

What a fantastic night at this Indian spot! From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The vibe was cozy, setting the mood perfectly. The staff was amazing - super helpful in picking dishes, making us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. Let's talk about the food - oh my! Each dish was like a flavor explosion. Seriously, it felt like we were transported to India with every bite. And they didn't skimp on portions, so we got to try a bunch of different things. But what really topped it off was the service. They were on top of everything, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Our glasses were always full, and they knew exactly when to check in. Overall, it was one heck of a night - great food, awesome service, and an all-around fantastic experience. We're definitely making this place a regular in our household. If you go here you will not regret it.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday 25th of November 2023 evening, for a wedding reception. The food and service was extraordinary. The staff were very friendly and caring and one in particular, whom I regret not knowing the name of, was extremely helpful especially after being told I had severe allergy requirements. He looked after me very specially and made sure I was given food that I was able to eat. I was blown away by his generosity and service, even in such busyness. Furthermore, the restaurant is beautifully designed and very exquisite. I would highly recommend this place.

My wife and I had hired out this venue to host our wedding meal and it was all around amazing from the food to the service! We went back again for our anniversary dinner recently but this time it was just a normal dinner for just us - however, the service and the food was still amazing! The restaurant had a very relaxed environment and the waiters checked up on us the perfect number of times to ensure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

This is the best Curry in Cambridge. Mo and his team are always polite and attentive. I’m working my way through the menu . My friend joined us last week ( he’s traveled the world) he said it was the best fish curry he’s had .

A visit to Tamarind for our anniversary. Situated near to where we live, so didn't have to travel far, plus it has a car park. We had a lovely time. Food was amazing and staff were vigilant to our needs. We wasn't there very long and would absolutely go again. We do get food delivered at times and can say it's as delicious as it would be if we were sitting in the restaurant to eat it.

Food was really tasty but service was slow, which I expected for Saturday night but it wasn't busy. Waiters were very friendly but slightly lacking in the service. E.g. no water on table, took a bit too long for drinks and dessert to be ordered. There's room for improvement but overall a good experience.

Decided to re-visit Tamarind while I’m in the area because of my experience a while ago. Honestly, I’d never put the effort to review foods but Tamarind still doesn’t fail me! Heads up the best curry and grilled food in Cambridge: no one can say otherwise!!! The starter was juicy and hot - I love it!

A very well maintained Indian restaurant and winning an award is well deserved. The staff are friendly and helpful and the menu interesting and extensive. All our food was served piping hot with the best of ingredients used and all dishes excellent.

We were a large party of 10 service and food was excellent and you won't find a better curry than at the Tamarind! Amazing every time we go and the food get better every time 7* service and staff's are very polite we honestly thank all the staff's for the service they provided

Large party including children only 1 high chair. Over charged. Disappointed will not go back Some sides came out after we finished our meal. Was able to take them home as we had finished our meal.

We were a large party of 11/adults and 3 children.the restaurant looks so nice and as they were winners of the best curry we thought we were in for a treat. The waiters were helpfull in taking the orders but forgot to bring out onion barges with our dinner,we ended up taking them home. The lamb bunna was so spicy it was sent back, ( we was not charged for this meal)Chicken biryani it’s self was ok but not the vegetable curry that should go with it it’s was tasteless and not eaten. I ordered 4 saag aloo but was charged for 6 we were also charged for 4 chutney trays that we did not order when I called to question the bill of £376 I was made to feel uncomfortable and not an honest person they said as we ordered 18 popadums we also have the chutney not at £15:80 when no one ordered them. I also question the service charge as I feel it was up to up to decide on a tip ( it would have been more then the £10 charged) I’m not saying that this place should be avoided but check your bill if your a large party. For what we paid I don’t feel it was as it should be. As we go for a curry once a month as a family I know that I will not be going back here. There are better Indian restaurants in and around Cambridge who on a Monday evening would have been better.

Our first experience of Tamarind. We ordered a takeaway. The service was excellent and food prepared very quickly. The flavours of the food were excellent and you could tell put together well and freshly prepared. However, the vegan curry was hugely disappointing. I had the Vegetable Laziza, that was supposed to have roasted potatoes in it. There were no potatoes (I guess removed as not vegan?) and so the dish was just a load of white cabbage in sauce. Such a shame given the wide range of vegetables that Indian cooking has. It would be good to see some vegan options on the menu given how popular veganism is. On a good note, my partner's chicken dish was excellent and so too were the sides.
