Food is not bad. And ambience is nice. Just a bit slow service but it was alright as on Tuesday there were barely any people

This was by far the best Indian we've ever had. The food was delicious, and the service provided by our waiter was exceptional. We are definitely coming back again soon!

It was my first time at Yuva restaurant with my friend. We ordered chiccken mazader and lamb nashili. Both of the were fantastic. We really enjoyed the foods and atmosphere.

Well I have been going to this restaurant for many years as I found the food a cut above the normal curry establishments. But this time I’m sorry to say that the food was well below Par. We had a Chicken jalfrezi, chicken korma both with rice and a plain naan bread. Both chicken dishes were tasteless. The jalfrezi had no spice to it at all. The korma was swimming in a tasteless thin sauce. But we done what the British always do when asked if our meal was ok. We lied!! Our sitting was for 19.00 on a Saturday day night and I would have expected there to be a bit of ambiance but sadly we were the only people in the restaurant. It would seem many other people are swerving the restaurant maybe because of the quality of the food. And then came the insulting kick in the nuts. A bill for £60. 😳 For 2 main dishes, 2 rice, 1 naan, 4 poppadoms, 1 glass white wine and a bottle alcohol free beer. I think we will vote with our feet as many seem to have already and won’t be going back anytime soon I’m afraid.

The food was unbelievably good. I eat at a lot of curry houses, and this really surprised me. I love it how you can rely on a curry house to deliver fantastic food on any day of the week. Would return.

We came at 5.30 so the restaurant wasn't busy so not much atmosphere but later in the evening when it's busy I think it would have a lovely atmosphere

Been here before and it was lovely- not anymore, the masala was watery & pink and no taste , the rest of the food was just about edible. It wasn’t cheap either. Would definitely not come back ever again.

Collected a takeaway, food was great and staff were friendly.

I ordered takeaway for collection, expecting a 30-minute wait, but ended up waiting 40 minutes upon arrival. The staff were rude and dismissive. The lamb chops were severely overcooked, the dhal was mushy and tasteless, and the chicken tikka masala contained only four small pieces of chicken. Extremely disappointed with the £50 spent. I remember dining at this restaurant 20 years ago when it was amazing, but it has significantly declined since then. Will not return and do not recommend.

Lovely place to either eat in or to grab a takeaway from. Food is consistently great and the staff are always excellent in their attentiveness and attention to detail.

Our first visit to Yuva with a family member who is a regular. We travelled all the way from Essex due to his recommendation. All I can say is this was simply outstanding. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The food was incredible. We tried a variety of dishes including succulent Zinga prawns, lamb shank and chickpea curry and naga lamb. All had incredible flavour and all made with fresh and aromatic ingredients. This was quite simply some of the best indian fusion food I have ever eaten. The price was slightly higher than the average high street indian but worth every penny. FYI, There is a large car park outside for ease. I cannot wait to return with other friends / family.

Ordered and collected a takeaway of chicken tikka masala and lamb tikka masala. Both were inedible and the lamb was chewy and tough. Such a shame as we both said we wouldn't risk it again.

Set in an old pub. It was completely empty nad the room was cold. We almost walked out before ordering. They brought a fan heater and we stayed. The reviews were good and after a weekend of partying we needed spice ! we were glad we did. The food was excellent. Like a decent Indian, only a bit better, Attention to detail and presentation was excellent. It's not cheap, London prices, a bit high for this location. Starters are £7, mains are £16. But it is excellent quality and charming service. We'll be back.

Instantly was impressed from the moment we walked in. The service from start to finish was incredible, been here a number of times and the food is top draw everytime. High would recommend in a heartbeat!

Had the Jenju chicken off the nepalese menu, absolutely delicious. Nans and bahjis were perfect too.

The meal this evening was fabulous - very tasty with a depth and range of flavours beyond what one normally gets in this type of restaurant. Service was great too and it's an easy location to get to and park at. We will definitely be going back!

Excellent experience. Staff were welcoming, polite and attentive. Timing of food was perfect. Everyone said their food was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty, will definitely be back if we are in the area. As a family Indian cuisine is regularly eaten by us and we have rarely tasted better. First time here since moving to royston and was really happy with the service and quality of food one of the best Indians I've had in a long time

We went to Yuva for my birthday dinner. The menu contained many of the standard Indian foods you would see along with some Nepalese twists. The lamb in the passanda was very tender and tasty as was the chicken in the chicken nashili. Can also recommend the tandoori duck tikka. Sundries such as keema rice, naan bread were all good too. Defo recommend.

Had a wonderful, flavoursome dinner at Yuva tonight. Friendly staff, nice ambience. I went for traditional curry house fare: onion bhaji, dahl and chana masala, and all were delicious. My friend was more adventurous, with a Chef's special. I'll be going back

Warm welcome as always ! Lovely table for two and served drinks with popadoms and onions and limes etc all very quickly.The menu is amazing and Lamb Paprika’s was the obvious choice whilst Lizzy chose Tikka Massala. Food was amazing ! First class. Taxi couldn’t collect us so Amran served another drink and said I’ll take you both home when you’re ready to which he did. Amazing experience and always highly recommended ! Don’t miss out !

Lovely relaxing restaurant with excellent food. Varied menu with some old favourites and some more specialist Chef's selections. All the dishes we ordered were fresh, flavoursome and the meat very tender. Will be using any excuse to take friends and family back to try other dishes.

We had a wondeful meal at Yuva last night. Every single dish was a winner, but special mention about the mackerel starter, the tandoori chicken (one of the most juicy succulent TCs I've ever had - and I've had a few!)Husband's Lamb Jal Farezi was tender and delicious. All vegetables were excellent, especially the spinach with garlic, aubergine bhaji and mushroom bhajiGorgeous Peshwari Naans..We were well looked after by the charming and helpful Akbar. Will definitely return.... soonest!

Yet again a lovely meal last night at Yuva! Very attentive service and excellent tasty, fresh, well cooked food, way above your "Average Indian", but how long will it be there for you to enjoy?Talking to the proprietor of 12 years, his restaurant and business is like many that have been badly hit by the Covid Pandemic.The fact that they have re-opened does not mean that they have survived! They need to make up lost ground financially, in addition to having to cope with current spiralling food costs and current industry-wide supply issues!We were there on a Monday Evening, and it was perhaps unsurprisingly quiet - BUT... without increasing patronage this excellent, established, and well thought of restaurant may not be there for you to enjoy in the future.USE IT or LOSE IT!!

Never been here before although we realised (after searching in Royston for ages!) that we pass it quite often on the Huntingdon Road out of Royston. It’s a very elegant restaurant, nicely spaced out for the times, and offering excellent and some unusual (to us) Indian and fusion food. A lovely evening and worth revisiting.

Visited as a family on 4 August 2021 after searching for Indian retaurants near Saffron Walden where we were staying having excellent reviews and a 5 star food hygiene rating which is extremely important to us. The restaurant is i think a converted pub with seating outside too. Nice and airy inside. We had chana masala, mumbai aloo and mushroom bhaji neither of which were oily! The dishes were very tasty and nicely spiced. We specified that we were vegan and waiter was very acommodating and helpful! chef even gave us a vegan dish on the house which was a nice touch. Nice place and worth the visit.

Just had lunch here and was really impressed. It was quiet but we received a warm welcome and great service. Menu had a great choice of dishes including varieties I have not seen on other menus.

Visited last week with my husband. Really good service and delicious food. Having only moved to the area a year ago, this is only our second visit and we’ll return again soon. The staff make us feel welcome and I love how they try so hard to take care of their grade II listed building. Extensive menu, friendly staff.

Exceptional Service, exceptional food. I was going to have Chicken Tikka Masala. The excellent waiter, suggested the Nepalese dish Royal Kurma. It was outstanding. Lovely friendly ambience, excellent all round.

We went to see the Cambridge University area. On our way back we had the dinner in Yuva, restaurant. The grill starters and main dishes were very tasty. The food was served in a supper fast speed. The waiter was very smart at his duty. Will highly recommend to everyone who wants the quality and tasty food.

Been visiting this lovely little fusion restaurant for a number of years. Nice to return post Covid restrictions. Great food, friendly service…..still don’t like being sold popodoms before being offered a drink but otherwise, all great!

After 5 years of living in the area we finally paid a visit to Yuva, and will most definitely be returning. The Nepalese food was delicious- particularly the lamb shank. The atmosphere great and the service excellent.

Celebrated Fathers Day at this lovely restaurant in Bassingbourn. Have visited previously but not as a family group. The staff made us feel extremely welcome on arrival and safety measures were in place. The menu caters for all tastes; my favourite being a very tasty Nepalese dish. The manager Amran,suggested my evening meal,to head chef Altaf,surprised by receiving a dish of creamy dhal and super soft basmati rice with melting mildly spiced potatoes and veg,I went to bed feeling light and ready to face tomorrow.£12 for a full dinner extremely well spent.

Great evening! Very welcoming staff, every single side and main was top quality. They even gave us a complimentary side dish on the house. I organised this meal for a birthday and they went above and beyond with bringing out a cake with a giant sparkler on!!!!! Thank you to the team at Yuva for making our night a great evening!

So happy that the Yuva is open again. We had regular takeaways from Yuva during lockdown, but it's great to be able to eat in too. The food is always fantastic and the service is good. Highly recommended.

What a gem this place is. We were here last night and had a great meal. The Changri Achari prawn dish from the Nepalese collection was one of the best curries I've tasted. The whole meal was great, very fresh.

We booked as a halfway meeting place with family, We had a very friendly helpful waiter, when the food came it was excellent quality, very tasty.The meat,…. we had chicken and lamb, and found it to be very tender which was a bonus as some restaurants can be disappointing with the lamb especially..Certainly will be using it again

Had a superb meal this evening. The salmon Shaslick and chicken tikka were beautifully cooked, melted in the mouth. Service was super, warm and professional - all very COVID friendly too.

I got my Christmas dinner for the family as a takeaway here, it was absolutely scrumptious. Yuva always comes through. The naan bread and Tandoori were particularly delicious. Look forward to coming back as soon as it’s possible.

My mum and I love coming here for a great quality Indian meal and it's always a wonderful experience! Our favourite dish is the Chicken Shashlik which is absolutely delicious! The waiters are always so welcoming and attentive! We also love the chocolates at the end! Great food, great service - would recommend to anyone!

We hadn't been to Yuva since pre Coronovirus in March so it was our first meal out of lockdown with high expectations - we were not disappointed. Excellent service, delicious food, friendly staff and covid secure. Give it a go if you haven't been before!

Visited tonight as our first meal out after lockdown. The Yuva has got everything in place to abide by COVID rules and it felt incredibly safe and comfortable eating out. Fantastic, delicious and flavoursome meal. Staff very friendly and attentive. The Yuva is a must if you’re in the area!!

Last night before lockdown #2. Great food- very fresh. Best dishes came from the chefs specials, wel worth it.- lamb dahl was really really good. Attentive service. Quite a drive for us but always worth b it.

Although we live locally we have never been to the Yuva, heard lots of good things but we normally get takeaway delivered to us. However when I won the competition for a meal for 2 at the Yuva I thought it would be lovely! I booked easily via the phone and we had a lovely meal! Staff were lovely and the food was amazing! Will definitely be back!
