Called in at Arbuckles Ely, as we were passing by on our way home. Great food as usual with friendly and speedy service. It's always a pleasure to eat at either of their restaurants.

New menu was pretty cool, still quickly cooked and fresh!

Had a mid-morning "Farmer's breakfast" with a pot of tea. Excellent breakfast with perfectly cooked fried egg and good, slightly spicy, sausage plus beans, bacon hash brown etc. All promptly served, at a reasonable price. 5 stars.

Have eaten in loads of times, great restaurant with good food and great service but on this occasion we had takeaway which is still really good, on time, really tasty will definitely use takeaway option again.

Did a takeout order as was staying at nearby. Very impressed with all the food very tasty. Can also cater for people with celiac disease as my husband has this nothing was too much trouble. Good service on pickup and very polite. Would definitely recommend.

Arbuckle's is very good at what it does and more so for a chain type restaurant. Food is always hot and tasty with reasonable prices too. Had a lovely steak this time which was cooked to perfection. Tonight they had a magician for the kids who came round the tables to do some magic. They absolutely loved it and none of us could work out how she did the tricks! It made a lovely dinner even better. I am sure they said it was a wednesday thing up to Christmas. Staff in this restaurant are always really friendly and great with children.

We went there Saturday for dinner Excellent meal and the most Excellent service we have ever had at any restaurant we were Served by Laura Spicer very happy person very professional in her attitude to us also friendly very attentive even though the place was very busy we didn't have to wait for her she was there and we noticed she was the same with all the tables she was waiting on will certainly be going again and it's mostly down to that lady fantastic seems the only word to describe her

Stopped here on the way to oxborough for a coffee and lunch. Food was great and staff was very friendly.

we love Arbuckles and have been a number of times, the food is lovely and the staff are great! unfortunately when we went yesterday, we did feel quite rushed. we had just finished our starters (my partner still had his in his mouth) and our mains arrived before taking the plates away. we were also asked if we had finished a number of times. understand it was later on in the night (7ish) but we did just feel a bit pressured to finish! Great food and the staff are lovely however!

Great service from Ivana today. Food was perfection. We went with our 5 year old, who throughly enjoyed her nuggets, chips and beans. A good sized meal for her with not too many chips. The nuggets were battered and it was lovely and crispy. Between my husband and myself we had the classic cheese burger and chips and the mixed grill. Both were lovely. The meat on the mixed grill was good quality with not too much fat and the steak was cooked perfectly to taste. We all had desserts, the mint ice cream sundae, the fudge cake and a mini chocolate overload for little one. All were delicious. The kiddies ice cream is a good size, but would be better suited to a slightly older child as it was way too much for a 5 year old, although she definitely gave it a good go.

Lovely staff, they were great! The cocktail I had was delish! However, the decor felt confused for an American diner. It’s all silvers and blacks, with mirrored panelling and clear glass lampshades. It didn’t have that usual American vibe, of reds and whites, like you’d traditionally have at an American diner. The food was not good, it was really basic. My steak was chewy, the BBQ sauce on the ribs was sour. The chips were chunky chips, not fries, which again isn’t really in keeping with the American diner theme. The double chocolate milkshake tasted the slightest bit of chocolate (not strong at all for what’s described as double chocolate). We wanted to love this place as it’s a nice independent restaurant, who offer discounts for emergency services and military, which is very kind, but it just didn’t hit the spot. Sorry!

Amazing for Birthday parties! Decided to take a gamble with this restaurant for a surprise birthday party and I did not disappoint. The staff were very helpful! I went to the restaurant the night before with some balloons and table confetti and all was placed on the table there next day as requested. The atmosphere was second to none. Beautiful modern decor and the food! Was amazing. Classic takes on the old style American steak houses. The portions were abundant and their mixed grill was spectacular. Even the sides were large if not maybe too large for an accompaniment but tasteful nonetheless. Upon arrival of desserts I mentioned to the staff to add candles to them as all members gathered round our table and sung happy birthday. Trully amazing customer service and will definetly return again!

I ordered the energiser breakfast. It was dry toast with a slice of tomato and a small amount of avocado , the bacon was like cardboard and definately reheated, the poached eggs were hard, it was horrible, far too dry to hard to eat. I sampled some of the other breakfasts ordered by the people I was with and they were equally as bad... Except where beans were involved, they were worse, dry and hard beans that looked and tasted like they had been reheated several times. I wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast. The service we had was OK but we had to get up and locate someone when we wanted to order and when we wanted the bill.

Our waiter was ever so amazing, our food was ok in my opinion, not great,my wife love here,but for me firts time didn't meet my expectations. Value for money other ways-over price. Service impeccable 👌 she was ever so great. Starters were ok,hallume side order great,chicken wings 5 out 10,prown Starters 7out 10, food in general 5out 10.thats just my opinion, please visit and help your selves.

Been three Sunday mornings on the run and breakfast is faultless. Great customer service, attentive staff and very polite. Would highly recommend the farmhouse breakfast! Coffee delicious too. Can see this becoming a Sunday weekly treat.

Service was excellent food and atmosphere was good. They have a refreshed menu now.

Arbuckles Ely offers a classic American diner experience with a wide menu of delicious burgers, steaks, and shakes. The portions are generous, and the food is full of flavor. It's not often you can give top marks when eating out but Arbuckles in Ely is consistently excellent. We're not locals but when visiting family it's our favourite. Our 3rd visit and we would always detour to eat here. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, the staff are very attentive and friendly and the premises are welcoming. Outstanding. Thank you.

I find the quality of the food here can vary greatly. I have had some great barbecue here in the past but recently the quality of the food seems to be slipping, particularly in regards to steak. Most recently I ordered rare, but found the majority of it to be blue. Chicken was dry and flavourless.

The ribs are awesome. The cocktails are lovely (non alcoholic for me) staff are friendly and loads of car parking

We came here for breakfast and we were quite disappointed to be honest. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was clearly a shop bought packet waffle and a breaded chicken breast, which was very disappointing. The service was fine, but food was poor

First time dining here and was not disappointed! Food arrived in less than 10 minutes from taking the order and was absolutely delicious. The milkshakes are very filling so I'd recommend not finishing it before the meal arrives (like I did) 😋 we will definitely return if in the area again.

Popped into Arbuckles after visiting the cinema next door. We all ordered fajitas. Service was good and we had plenty of food each. The waitress asked if we needed anything else, but we didn’t as the meal comes with 3 different pots of salsa, guacamole and sour cream each. Restaurant was busy but it didn’t affect our service of food and experience. Would visit again and very handy if you’re making a trip to the cinema 👍

Great dining experience. We haven't visited for sometime and the menu has altered since our last visit. Our gluten free guest did not enjoy their meal- personal preference. Great location, great environment, great service.

We went into celebrate end of term for the kids. we booked online. Got seated immediately. Waitress was very kind. Food came out very quickly didn’t feel rushed and had a pleasant meal. Sadly had no room for desert, but the waitress said we could always take out the desert We popped to supermarket and then on the way home picked up our ice cream desert to enjoy the garden at home Fantastic service top to bottom!

We usually visit this restaurant at least once a month. We've never had a bad meal there and the staff, some of whom often recognise us, always give us amazing service. We love the fact that their menu offers a great variety of dishes, especially Vegan options. Overall, a great place to eat.

The best of the American themed restaurants. Food is always very good, normally served quickly by friendly staff.

Food was not as nice as normal. Staff were very timid and not very helpful when asking questions about the menu. I was given where most of it was on the floor/table rather than in the glass 😂 made the area very sticky as it wasn't cleaned even when asked. Overall, the experience wasn't as good as normal which is a shame.

Was okay, I won't be rushing back sadly. I love an American Diner and perhaps have been spoilt in the past. The food was mediocre at best, it's something that's trying to be a gimmicky theme rather than an actual diner. Shame but was okay if you're already in the area.

We had the most wonderful experience. The food has never let me down! Ribs,chicken, burger. All top quality. Service was brilliant, main course came within 10 minutes of ordering. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries! Dessert was delicious, mango and coconut mousse with a ginger biscuit based cheesecake which was so refreshing in this hot weather and If you like snickers, I would highly recommend the chocolate and peanut double layered cake. Absolutely delicious, both served with a huge dollop of ice cream! Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was upbeat and busy! Always recommend.

Third visit for family meal, yet again, very disappointed as wrong order sent to our table. Not happy with below quality food and poor service from staff, this is the third time this year the Duty Manager had to sort the problems out. So 3 Strikes and you are out. Will NOT be returning to Ely Arbuckles.

We visited on the way home from holiday in the evening. Great food, great choice and helpful staff. We had burgers, gumbo and pizza and all really tasty. We wish there was an Arbuckles near us. We have a Frankie & Bennys which also American but Arbuckles is far superior in choice and quality.

We had an early evening booking (5pm) on a Saturday. The restaurant was fairly quiet at this time and we were seated straight away. Food is good but portions are too big for me. The halloumi fries are chunky and the dirty sauce is like a spicy mayonnaise, which goes well with the halloumi. The Chicken Mac & Cheese was flavourful with moist chicken, strips of bacon and a lovely toasted cheese topping. There was no need for chips that come with it, the side salad was enough to accompany the Mac & Cheese. The caramel & chocolate overload is exactly what it says on the tin! If it doesn't send you into a food coma, I don't know what will. Our server Eni was excellent, very friendly and attentive.....nothing was too much trouble for her. Food is reasonably priced for the size of the portions. Would definitely recommend Arbuckles if you are in the area.

We haven't left yet but I didn't finish my breakfast and its not you, its me. I had Heuvos Rancheros and it was completely lovely and very filling. I haven't finished it because I'm full. Promise. Wonderful restaurant, proper booths and really nice food. Cracking.

Find that the staff are very friendly, had to make a quick reservation as the place we planned to go to was closed(Beefeater Cambridge we had booked up but did not get told they were going to close.). Thankfully they came to the rescue at Arbuckles.
