The food is amazing and the cold drinks are cheap. I will go agine. The breakfast is really great. To the owners please read. And the steak is really soft.

Nice place for coffee, hot and cold snacks/food. Outside seating if walking dogs. Good pastel de nata.

Bad tempered service: runs the food service according to a strict timetable, so no serving outside their timetable which you are told in no small measure as if you should already know this, expensive menu which cannot compete in standard with the cafe next door. Serves an older native clientele and for them the atmosphere is cheerful, but outsiders can expect short shrift. Previous owners were far more amenable.

Stopped just for a quick bite to eat - got a recommendation from a local to have the chips! So pleased we did double egg and chips hit the spot perfectly.... And bought Pastel de Nata for my youngest at home!

A wonderful, family run Portuguese cafe/bar/restaurant. Wonderful food, great value and very welcoming. Can't say enough good things about this place!!

What a lovely cafe. Service friendly. Great menu. We had the octopus and it's was delicious. So much of it we had to ask for a take away box. Will definitely be back.

One of the best Portuguese restaurants I have found in the UK.My British boyfriend was delighted with his portuguese style pork and his dessert. They Have super bock and delta café, great! Homemade food, homemade deserts. Staff friendly like we Portuguese are. I'll return if i need a stop while traveling to the airport for sure.

This place is a gem. I went for a coffee & breakfast lovely breakfast and coffee very reasonably priced too. Staff very attentive and friendly I will be back!!!

Unfortunately wasn't all that impressed with the breakfast. Eggs burnt underneath, much of the breakfast was quite dry. Had much better breakfasts for less than paid

Best pasteis de nata I have ever had, clearly homemade and delicious. The staff is very friendly and originally Portuguese, so you can be certain you are getting the real deal.

Nice and traditional Portuguese food. Unfortunately the opening hours are inconsistent. drove from nearby to get dinner one evening (seeing the opening times are listed as open until 10pm). Arrived 8:50 on a Wednesday and were told that the kitchen closes at 8pm. Came the following day, arriving at 7:15, only to be told the kitchen closed at 7pm that day. Thoroughly frustrating experience as I’ve eaten there before and really enjoyed the food, and was looking forward to eating there again. After being messed around and ultimately lied to by the staff I don’t think I’ll bother coming back.

Best restaurant in town!!!! Went to get some dinner here with my friend today. The food was so TASTY. Quality of food was also amazing for the very good prices. Staff are all very friendly and happy. I will definitely be back

Best coffee ( americano) I have had in a long time. The server said that it was Portuguese. I wish that more places served coffee like this, s small cup strong and intense. The breakfast baps were also very good containing quality sausage and bacon.

Exceptionally friendly staff, a gorgeous menu, a nice slice of Portugal in Cambridgeshire. Amazing ice cream, lush coffee, and a full bar.

Friendly, interesting food (Portuguese) quite unusual food but very tasty. Good value. The lady running the place was very good with our children, gave them crayons and a disposable paper tablecloth to draw on.

Expensive for what you actually get. Small coffee and sarnie was dissapointing. Avoided next day when back in area.

Maybe they were short staffed but the service was very slow and it wasn't because the cafe was packed. Other than that they delivered on the proposition of being a basic cafe. Clean and functional. Had a lovely hot cuppa and an omelette that had been cooked to order. The omelette was just that - not even a little bit of salad garnish on the plate. Staff were nice enough but for a quick lunch sort of meal you hope to be served quickly. There were other customers waiting quite a while for their food too.

Went here to pass some time for a coffee. Place is nicely laid out and homely. The staff were quite friendly and we were served very quickly. Location is good and reasonably priced. Cannot comment on the food as we only went for drinks.

Nice staff but quality of food is really disappointing! After waiting for a long time was served super oily unhealthy food. I would suggest reducing the quantity but improving the quality of the food.

Really enjoyed an impromptu lunch here. It!s a very v unpretentious cafe with nice coffees and the food is great. Between us we ordered a tuna melt, a Portuguese prawn rissole thing, chips and a pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart). The chips were fantastic, not greasy at all - I did wonder whether they might even be air fried they were so good. My partner lived in Portugal for some years and the rissole transported her right back there. She also thought the tuna melt top-notch and of COURSE the tart was fab! Prices pretty reasonable too. The tables and chairs outside were being used on this sunny October day, possibly even by some Portuguese expats judging by the little coffees and glasses of iced tea we spotted. (There is Portuguese beer available too we saw on the menu.) This was my second visit - just had a breakfast coffee and v good croissant last time. Judging by the comments I’ve read on here I must try the cooked breakfast next time I think.

Really good staff and great food

It’s the staff that make this place, family run and very friendly. Strong coffee, lovely custard tarts and very dog friendly (outside only). Would highly recommend a visit to sit drink coffee and enjoy the sights of Soham high street.

This is a must for my dad as he likes a big breakfast. Full English breakfast and he says it was really good. I settled for morning coffee and it was a really good coffee. Nice ambience of feeling like you are abroad given the outside area of cafe culture and tree lined street.

Lovely dining experience. ❤🤍💙🧡🖤♥️ I had a luke warm combination consisting of fish, scrambled egg and chips mashed into a pulp which i was assured is a traditional Portuguese main with a limp salad. Some loud angry gentlemen conversed threateningly directly behind me while playing the electronic gambling machine. The locals obviously feel comfortable as one jolly looking gentlemen illustrated when he turned up for lunch in his pajamas. The staff are friendly to a fault showing little regard to the notion of personal space. Very authentic fenland experience.

Great Portuguese coffee - I had a galao a couple times, and it reminded me so much of Portugal. Also tried a house-made pastel de nata - just like the ones in Lisboa. And the full English breakfast - very nice. Strongly recommended

When we come into England from France we go straight to Portugal - in the shape of A Tasca Café. Always assured of a warm and friendly greeting from Vida, Uri, Magda, Juan and their team. Everything from a full English breakfast to a good Portuguese menu. Always good food and good value. (Plus excellent beer and home made chips!)

Stopped for a spontaneous coffee and bit of lunch mid bike ride. Sat outside in sunshine and had a good omelette and quality coffee. Clean, wjth a nice feel to the place with friendly staff.

Very polite staff, lovely on a sunny day, you can sit outside on soham High Street and watch the world go by.

Pessoas simpaticas comida muito boa recommendo

Sometimes you just want to have a good, hearty filling breakfast, with a cup of tea, to set you up for the day. Well, this place does that. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. I confess I haven't explored the menu to a great extent, but I have seen other people order and I can attest to the yummy smells as their food passes by. It is unpretentious and traditional with a really friendly team behind the counter - I really like it there and I hope you all do too.

Lovely coffee, friendly service

Have been probably 10 times since ive lived here (2 years). Mainly for a fry up. Great grub for the price. Typically you can get a big fry up and a coffee for less than a tenner. Nice potato crisp style chips and nice black pudding.

I had a similar experience with these people where I went for breakfast with a friend with my small dog sat outside to eat, horrendous weather, went to ask if I could bring him (my dog) just inside the door just to be told no dogs allowed, so I payed for the breakfasts that were put into takeaway containers and I won't go here again. Breakfast was mediocre and I prefer The Stable who at least allow you to take your dog in during a downpour.

Sat outside ordered two breakfasts and coffees had small dog with me and company miserable waitress came handed our breakfasts the heavens opened and rain poured down gusting winds Asked to go inside just by door refused rudely no explanation except no dogs allowed but dog water inside door Took breakfasts back they were then put into take away containers paid 28 pound bill and went home No offer of umbrella outside couldn’t care less attitude will not go there again What away to treat customers brain dead staff no common sense Breakfast not the best next door better they allowed us in with dog as weather atrocious

We popped in here on the off chance when in Soham yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. The food was all freshly cooked and staff really friendly. Excellent prices and choice. Will definitely be going back.

Came across this place by accident served some of the best food I've had in a long while

I took my drivers here for Christmas eve breakfast because everyone was saying how good it was but also I knew the owner who had just taken it over. The place was rammed full so we had to wait to order but a table big enough soon came free. We all ordered the full English which nearly beat us all. 3 rashers of bacon, 3 sausages, 2 eggs, black pudding, hash browns, baked bean and 2 slices of toast with a coffee or tea. 9 of us came to £70. A lot of locals were coming and going and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The reason we had to wait to order was they hadn't expected so many people on a Christmas eve.

Stumbled across by chance. A very happy incident. Very unpretentious but authentic and good food in an unpretentious surroundings served by a warm and friendly owners. Very reasonable prices. Well worth visiting particularly if you are into Portuguese food and fish dishes. Portuguese wines and beers too. Long may it prosper

Great owners and awesome breakfast.

We arrived here at 7pm for dinner. It is an open all day cafe. The menu changes as I understand, daytime it is both English and Portuguese and then the evening is Portuguese only. The food was nice. We ordered a Portuguese stew which was pork and clams and then steak in a mushroom sauce. For dessert we ordered a caramel pudding and rice pudding. The food was well prepared and tasty.

I have been in the past and having just spent some weeks in Portugal I wondered if they did the lovely Portuguese egg tarts. They did and they were as good as in Portugal thanks will pop in again oh and the coffee was good

A Tasca is a continental oasis in the heart of Soham. Grab a cold Sangria or Super Bok on tap and chill out in this relaxed cafe/bar. Good, honest English and Portuguese food on offer (the breakfasts are particularly good), and lots of lovely Portuguese treats if you have a sweet tooth. The prices are excellent and the staff are really friendly and welcoming.
