Nando's Ely in East Cambridgeshire

Have had multiple nandos in the location and have always been happy with the food and service. My brother is particularly fussy when I come to his food but has never had a problem here and has always commented on how kind the staff are and how accommodating they are to his particular needs. I would rate this place 6 stars and will definitely be returning when I next get the chance. The chicken is brilliant and the rice is a must!

Absolutely filthy, cold food and slow service

Been here numerous times now and also really good. Food tastes great and always out swiftly from the kitchen.

Dirty , sticky floors , sticky tables , smelt grotty and felt worn out. Food was mediocre . Halloumi with dip for a starter was shocking . Cold and essentially raw. Best bit was the staff who were friendly and very quick to serve.

This is a very good Nandos, we tend to eat here at least once a fortnight either in the restaurant or with a takeaway. The service is quick and efficient and the restaurant is clean. Shame about Nandos prices increasing, but I can’t fault this particular venue for that, as I assume that comes from head office

First time at a Nando’s. The food was lovely we both had a fully loaded wrap and rainbow slaw. The place was busy but got a table straight away. The only problem was the floor was sticky under foot and could do with a hot wash. We will go back again.

Excellent Service. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. I like the way they welcome their regular customers. The “Welcome” comes with a very kind smile with a nice touch.

Very nice vegetarian food and of coursethe chicken too. I love their sauce. The kids loved the bottomless drinks and ice cream. I can recommend this place to anyone.

The food is great. Their vegetarian burger is one of the best compared to other fast foods. Nice free parking area.

My first visit to a Nando's and I enjoyed it. The menu is simple, as expected. The ordering process is super efficient. Liked the refillable drinks and the kids liked the bottomless ice cream. A more varied menu would have gained it 5 stars but appreciate there are only so many ways to do chicken.

Came at night and it had poor lighting where we sat but the food was amazing and came super fast and the staff are very friendly.

Sauce heaven. The chicken was well seasoned, so it was delicious even without any additional sauce. If you don't like it too salty, it's better to cover it plain with sauce. Most of the side dishes were good and the price was a bit high compared to UK prices.

Terrible experience. Half hour wait for a table. Food arrived cold which we immediately returned to the kitchen. Food came back this time with the incorrect order which we returned. Third time food came back cold once again! £40 for the privilege. Never again.

Nandos next to Cineworld, a nice place to grab a meal before or after catching a movie. Busy on Friday or Saturday nights.

Came here for dinner one evening while I was working in the area. The food was good. The staff were friendly and polite. I would eat here again.

Always cold food. We asked for a replacement of garlic bread due to this. Someone came over and placed the new plate on top of food that we were still eating... it was so bizarre. Regardless of giving this feedback, the manager did nothing to make our experience better.

A great place for chicken and lots of variety with sides. I did have one slightly disappointing experience here where I ordered the butterfly chicken and it was absolutely tiny, since then I’ve been having half a chicken and they’ve been well sized! The staff have always been great though and food is made and brought out really quickly. I’ve at both peak times (a Friday evening) and when it’s very quiet (midday Tuesday) but the food is always the same quality and made quickly. I’ve never not been able to get a table instantly either.

This restaurant in Ely has seriously got to be the best Nandos around, and I have been to a fair few, including the Cambridge Nandos. The food is cooked to perfection, the service is absolutely outstanding, the atmosphere is absolutely devine. The Ely Nandos is by far the most outstanding. You have the perfect team here at the Ely Nandos and we make a point of visiting here at least once every other week sometimes more.

Nice ambience, loads of seating options. It wasn't too busy and the service was quick and friendly. Loads of veg friendly options and the nando's usuals.

Absolutely lovely waiting staff, not only did they help make meals more veggie friendly for me and my partner they also created a welcoming atmosphere making me feel comfortable eating my delicious food, shame i didnt catch any of the lovely girls names, would definitely recommend this venue!

Great place to bring your family to. Despite the long long queue, immediately I completed my order via the app, one of the staff brought me a glass for my bottomless coke. The music was on point as was the food. The butterfly chicken was great.

It's much the same as any Nando's but the food really struck me as very mediocre for the high price, I won't be eating at Nando's again based on this experience (the second time in 10 years that I've been)

Not a great meal at all I'm afraid. Place was very busy and buzzing but I've seen better canteens inside. Starter was nice enough but the main s below par. Butterfly chicken burger was 2 dry fillets in a dry bun, wife's chicken had a hair, my daughters burger hardly had any chicken and my rainbow coleslaw was swimming in liquid. Won't be back

I have left this review a few weeks late due to my own reasons . It's not often I leave reviews but I believe everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect . I would like to advice the lad with tattoos on his face ( I think the name was Daniel or dillon but I could be mistaken as this was roughly 2 weeks ago ) that I overheard members of nandos staff talking about him . I find this to be absolutely disgusting behavior as I have personally been served by the young lad and his customer service was so brilliant I went over and shook the young lads hand and personally thanked him . I would like to advice the member of staff with face tattoos to stay clear of the tall lad with tattoos on his arm who I believe to be called Lewis , to stay clear of whom I believe to he his girlfriend and to stay clear off the blonde lady who works on the floor and to stay clear of ( and most disgusting given he's a manager ) the older man with glasses . I will be coming into nandos ely sometime over the next few weeks to see if I can spot the young lad so I can personally speak to him and explain to him what I have overheard . Unfortunately given the circumstances I'm not confident that this will be dealt with professionally and I can't be certain this message will be passed onto Daniel / Dillon .

Good food and nice atmosphere. A great family restaurant. Can get a little noisy at times.

Went to celebrate a birthday with a party of eight, manager and staff were very attentive and explained how to use the menu and the app. Food arrived in a timely manner and was very tasty and hot. We had taken a birthday cake with us that the staff bought out with candles lit and sang along with us. Cost was very good and reflected the meal. Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

Place is dirty from the tables to the floor. Customer service does not exist, your food arrives but there is no follow-up to check on quality. Chips were poor. The impression given is that you are one of many cattle, get you in and get you out. This was my first time and probably my last.

All staff were really helpful and lovely. Manager came out to speak to me about my gluten allergy and what I could and couldn’t have from the menu. Enjoyed halloumi and chilli jam and chips.

Staff are always extremely friendly when we've been to pick up food. Decent vegetarian options now available which we're grateful for. We've only ever been to pick up food so can't comment much more on the facilities.

New premises in an “out of town” location - near a cinema hence convenient for our meal and movie evening. Very friendly team. Order taken promptly at till and meal brought expeditiously to table. Decent quantity, cooked well. Clean and pleasant environment.

Don’t look up! We called into this Nando’s for a quick dinnerof and while I the food was as expected, the atmosphere and general upkeep of the place was lacking. I don’t know if it’s the fact that you order through the app or grab your own drinks (which is fine) but there seemed to be very little connection between the staff and customers. Probably less so than you’d expect in a fast food place. The decor is very nice and on brand for Nando’s but a quick glance skyward will reveal a lacking in the general dusting and housekeeping.

Wonderful flavourful food and great atmosphere. The food took a while to prepare and bring to the table, but it very well could have been because of the traffic in the restaurant at the time, so I'll likely be revising that when I return!

Good peri peri full chicken, wings and corn on the cob And don't forget the garlic bread.. The sauces are the highlight you can go from medium to hot to very hot to ....

Chicken was very very dry, think it was warmed up I had to sent back. Wonder if chef was distracted . The waiter was excellent though name is Jake. I'll give him 5* rating.

With Covid-19 restrictions, everything is done with QR codes. You use them to que for a table (and track and trace) and to order your meal. It's fairly efficient and easy to use if you have your phone with you.

Not great, delivered to wrong address, food eventually located 20 minutes after it was delivered to wrong road and even wrong house number so not even close. One mains wrong (even though asked to review it afterwards so know we had ordered it) 2 side orders missing plus had to heat everything up we did eventually get. Needless I kept the Christmas tip I had ready for the delivery driver.

Our starters and main course were very good. Eaten here twice and quality of the food and service is consistent. We like the ambiance, the atmosphere. Every member of staff that we've met has been exceptionally friendly, both times, so that - and the consistent good quality of the food - shows that the restaurant is managed very well. Having spoken to the manager during each visit, I recognise her abilities and style. She's very good. Comforting to know for our next visits.

Music too loud to hold a conversation, asked for volume to be reduced, it was reduced but turned back up again, won't be going there again. If I want to listen to loud music I put my headphones on or go to a concert, not when I'm eating with friends and family. Totally unpleasant.

Arrived about 8.15 pm, only 12 people in restaurant but when food ordered was told it would be a 15 minute wait,, however 20 minutes later our food was sat on the counter for about 8 minutes minus the garlic bread side,, then the bread was put on and the bell was rang,, however 6 more minutes passed and food still sitting there, so my wife went and got it herself ….. next time we will go elsewhere

We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. Menu was explained to us and where to order our food. Food was served piping hot and a generous portion. Highly recommend if you have a family.

Its like a restaurant crossed with a self service checkout. If I wanted to sort my own menu and choice of food I would have gone to a carvery.

Food wise this is Nandos and was exactly what we expected. Particularly the manager of this restaurant is very friendly, as are other staff, and is always helpful and chatty.

I love Nando'S. This restaurant is a good one too. I have eaten there many times and am never disappointed.

the self serve carbonated drinks were all very weak think the mix needed changing. Service was not great obvious that Nandos want to reduce staffing using App to order. Food was at best ok, the chickpea vegan burger was not warm and on the small side compared to other restaurants. I will not return.

We Had a lovely warm welcome, the food was lovely and the manager took time to speak to us about the sauces and how the chilli's were grown. Excellent service

Very good experience as always. We ordered at the table which was very easy, no need to say the food was delicious 🤤🤤.. Members of staff were very welcome and attentive to our requests. Definitely recommend Nando's Ely and definitely will be back.
