Friendly staff, very tasty food and great value for money. The shop always looks clean and staff are extremely helpful.

I support a gentleman in Ely as a carer, and will treat him to fish & chips every so often - I will ALWAYS make the commute here as they serve beautiful food, cannot fault their fry abilities!

We regularly use here and the food is always tasty and value for money , the staff are friendly and professional and are always helpful.

Bought a box of spicy spuds on way home from work, when I opened up the small box it was about half full, £4:50 for a small box that's not even full is definitely way overpriced, will not be using again.

Having visited here several times in recent weeks , I have found the service fast, efficient and the staff very friendly. The food was fresh and tasty and the Portion sizes were generous. Would be happy to recommend and will be returning again very soon :)

I don’t like to leave 1 star as I’ve never had a bad experience and the fish tonight was delicious. However, the chips looked poorly peeled and a bit undercooked - I know the chips are peeled via a rumbler or something similar, but they were very patchy and gritty. I have actually chipped my tooth on a small stone and had to stop eating as I felt grit numerous times. It’s really unusual, and I’m not keen on complaining as I have never had anything other than delicious food from here, but it can’t go unmentioned due to my chipped tooth.

It was our first time visiting the area and went to this fish bar. We ordered three large fish and chips. The guy looked at us and worked out we were visitors to the area. They straight away decided to give us two small old fish in each box instead of large fish and chips. The fish was old, small and far from our expectations. They forgot to add salt and vinegar to the chips initially, and when they were reminded, the vinegar was poured on top of the fish. By the time we arrived back , which was ten minutes later, we were left with old smelly soft fish. Not worth eating at all Very disappointed.

The food is great but the time waiting for food is 25 minutes plus and that was just 1 x cod & chips, I was one of only two people waiting. It seems the priority is online orders regardless of who is actually standing in front of them. I tried again last night but walked away as it looked like a possible overnight stay waiting. Great food but I've given up due to the waiting so will now go elsewhere.

16.7.24 Absolutely fabulous food and service tonight. So glad they've changed back to skinless cod. Had a great experiences the last few visits. Fresh, hot, crispy batter and very large portions for the big appetite. Definitely a great experience. 😋😋😋

Ordered a large haddock, half a portion of chips and some mushy peas. The food was a little oily, not much flavour in the fish tbh. Mushy peas were just ok. The staff are always very friendly, the place looks great and the packaging is of high quality. It's just a shame that what you see on the outside does not transfer to what's on the inside (Ordered some kebabs in the past from here and they were actually nice).

I have been here many times, always good. Today asked for a lamb shish and was told they dont do it! This is the most basic thing on the menu of any kebab shop - you need to sort this out!

Came in here for our dinner, Cod and chips twice. The portions were huge and both the chips and fish were delicious. It seems that they have now made the chips portion size bigger, much bigger and fresh cooked, lovely.. So popped back in on another day for the same just to see if the first time was a one-off fluke, but no it wasn't and I was amazed by the portion size. Both pieces of Medium fish 🐠 were large with a very decent portion of chips. The chips are cooked to perfection. So was in here today to try the Chicken Wrap Meal Deal and a Chicken Fillet Burger Meal Deal for my wife. What I got for my wrap deal was outstanding. Amazing portion size for both deals. The wrap was massive, the "Med" but what I would consider "Large" portions of chips delicious and nicely cooked and the chicken fillet was big and overflowing the burger, great salad amount, all washed down with a can of your choice drink. Seriously good value for money. I watched one of the staff preparing a donar kebab for a customer, I tell yer, I don't usually eat kebabs but after watching the preparation and end result, I am seriously considering having one. It was massive and very much value for money. I cannot praise this chippy enough. Decent, friendly staff and food cooked to order. You can also pre-order your dinner/lunch/ tea. So if you do get to pay a visit here, mention that they come highly recommended, it's nice for the owner and staff to know that they are appreciated. It's worth a drive out from wherever you live. Without doubt, the best chippy for miles in/out and around Ely and probably Cambridgeshire. I Highly recommend you pay a visit to Rumble's Fish Bar, you won't be disappointed, p.s, (I am not recompensed in any way for my review, I am a bona-fida Google Reviewer and post my reviews for the benefit of others). We’ve had a few take outs from the Sutton Rumbles, but this evening’s was a big disappointment. All the food was just slightly warm when it reached home. I noticed that the waiting carrier bags of food spent several minutes on top of the fryer unit - warming the bottom only - before they were finished off and handed to customers. The chicken in the wrap was cold and tough. The chips were hard and cold. But our son loved his burger. I’m not sure what went wrong this evening, but I was there on time to pick up the food.

Had fish and chips which were ok. Also had a saveloy. Tasted and looked like it had been left in the little tray thing for days. Returned it and told them to throw the rest away. No refund offered. Didn't see them throw the rest away. Food poisoning the following day. This happened a few months ago so maybe things have changed.

Honestly the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Half portion of chips were offered when I expressed I wouldn't need a whole portion. Also best curry sauce I've had. Great service, great food.

Stopped by on the way home from work. A large portion of chips really is huge for the price and the lovely staff added some extra toppings free of charge. Top tier!

I’m not from the area and just driving through, stopped here as the kids were hungry. Food was awesome. There’s nothing negative I can say, will stop last here again. I was even a little shocked with how clean it was inside. Well done guys.

Very inconsistent. Pre-ordering is pointless as the order will only be prepared once you arrive. The curry sauce is different every time, ranging from vile to average. This is usually what puts me off visiting this location. Why not just use the same one used in 95% of southern chip shops? The same one used in other rumbles. A large fish can vary from the same size as their medium to twice the size. Very obviously refried stale chips on two occasions.

Lovely friendly staff and great food!

We came here a couple of months ago. Food was lovely as always. My issue was the staff and the way they were talking to each other. One was arguing with what we would assume was the manager and went to walk out but then said she couldn't leave the other member of staff there with 'him'. I haven't been back since.

Not happy as for the second time in a row I’ve preordered for a collection an food wasn’t ready not even been started had to wait 15 minutes longer both times what’s the point of letting people preorder if you’re not going to have food ready at the time slot chosen

Love it! We live 20+ miles away, yet we drive to come get our dinner! It's always hot still by the time we get home which is amazing!! We worth the money! Never had to wait for our food! Only chips shop we go now! Only Shame is it's not open 7 days a week!

Food is good, but always a long wait even when pre ordering.

Use to be very good but a bit expensive. On my last visit the prices have increased my kebab cost nearly £10 and was small (they only do 1 size now). Our fish was cold. Disappointed that this now appears to have gone down hill will be looking for a new take away now.

It's one of my favorite places 🙂 The dose is plentiful. I usually order fish and chips. Service is fast and the staff are particularly kind. The food is fresh and warm. You can also pay with card and cash. The room is clean and if you go in you would like to taste everything because the foods looks so delicious😁.

Friendly service. Food always hot, and plenty of it. Fish and chip portions are always huge. Have had the cod, plaice, beef burger and scampi (probably one of my favs). Usually 11 or 12 pieces of scampi in a portion. Due to the time I finish work, I often don't get there until just after 9pm. At this point they are starting to clean the shop, and turn some of the grills off. So, even tho they are officially open until 10pm, usually they limit what they cook in that last hour. (this has been my experience, so, just be aware of this). Can pay by card or cash. There is a cash point outside on the wall. There's a Co-op right next door. Plenty of parking for both shops. Handy to know.. There's a Defibrillator on the wall between the co-op and Rumbles... activated by a code from the emergency services.

Really good, fresh and crispy fish and chips. Portion sizes were huge, so reflects the price (one portion could feed two). We'll definitely be back! Thanks.

Ordered a large chicken kebab n a medium both looked a medium but charged us for a large n medium then we called up to ask what happened n they put the phone down on us twice. Don’t recommend wasn’t even that great

Overpriced and not good quality. I ordered some food and it wasn't even fully cooked! It was still frozen in the middle, what you pay and what you get, not worth it, Rumbles in Ely is so much better

Dissapointing ! More expensive than Chatteris shop. Eaten from there twice and both times order was wrong. £2.30 for a fish cake with no chips ! No thanks.

Fresh food Lamb shish .. and the spicy wings superb only thing they don't accept cards so you have to withdraw the cash from outside the co op ... but the staff are super friendly and place is spotless. But need bigger size lamb shish ... See you guys soon

OMG.... 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 Biggest piece of haddock I have ever seen and beautifully cooked chunky traditional chips. Was going to post a photo but couldn't wait to eat it. You have to try this place. RUMBLES - WELCOME TO SUTTON 😊
