We came across this lovely restaurant by chance on our recent visit to Ely. What a find the food is so tasty and well cooked Tried the ackee and salt fish tartlet as a starter, something we had not had before but will again it was lovely and light. The best pit though were the main courses of jerk chicken and jerk pork. The spicyness was just right. The rice and peas was lovely as well. The fried plantain complemented the dish. The lady who runs this restaurant is so lovely, warm friendly and engaging. If I didn’t live so far away it would most definitely be a regular haunt of ours

This is a restaurant we visited quite often in Ely but never bothered to write a review. The restaurant is opened by a Jamaican family. Their food and in fact the whole atmosphere is very authentic. It is not somewhere if you wanted to be treated like a royalty and have something fancy. But if you do care about the flavour and want to try something exotic and different you might want to give it a try. Also you must have to be a spice eater or at least not afraid to try as almost every dish has a quite strong flavour and are spicy. The fish and ox tails are extremely good. Their price is about 2/3 as you eat in other restaurants with similar standards.

Absolutely great experience. We popped in after a day out in Ely. As it was a Bank Holiday we called ahead to make sure they were opening and booked. I'm glad we did as it was already busy at 5:30. Our waiter was very polite and took our drinks and starters order quickly. We both went for the beef patties (absolutely delicious) Once we received these the chef/owner stopped by to apologise for the wait, but we hadn't been waiting long at all. For mains we had goat curry and jerk chicken with rice and peas. Both were sooo tasty and the jerk chicken came with a side of delicious sauce which you can purchase to take home. The chef visited us again towards the end of our meal and explained the sauce was a family recipe passed down through the generations. She was super friendly with a lovely smile and really made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back

Great looking restaurant, very comfortable and welcoming. We ordered the Beef Patties which were exceptional and the curried goat rice and pea and jerk chicken. All wonderfully cooked with a great spice. The jerk chicken also came with an extra tangy hot sour sauce which is a family recipe and you can buy some to take home. Spoke to the chef/owner a really lovely lady who took time out to talk to everyone. Nothing bad to say about the experience, the restaurant also does an all you can eat on a Thursday for £20. We’ll be back.

Dropped in with no expectations and had a taste sensation of an evening in a good selection of dishes. Tremendous hearty Jamaican cooking accompanied by Rum Punch. I loved it all... well worth a visit
