Leah was amazing. Food was grand.

We've been here a few times.. some just for a coffee and a cake. For a birthday, anniversary meal or just a get-together with family. We have been in party of 2 to 8 people depending. Always had good service. Food has always been great, never been served cold. I will alway recommend it and have done.

Great pub restaurant in a nice setting. Food was good! Gin and tonic by the river and in the sun after was equally good!!

Went there during the weekend to grab some Sunday lunch. Ordered the chicken and beef roasts, the beef was quite tough to chew on, and the billionaire fries had a strong taste of horse-radish, which some people may dislike so just putting it out there as it's not started on the menu. They had bottomless gravy which was great.

Nice place to have drinks, would be nice in the summer months. Service was a let down, however, unwelcoming staff.

Service (Hugo and Freya) excellent, great atmosphere but lack of vegan options a downside. FFS why!

As newcomers to the area, we decided to visit The Brampton Mill for the first time on my husband’s birthday. We were DELIGHTED by the rustic, waterside setting, and the well-appointed dining room, and attentive and friendly service. But the food blew us away. This is so much more than a “gastropub.” Our server Evelina ensured we were taken care of throughout the meal, including extra diligence to accommodate food allergies in the group. And Chef Charlie delivered starters, mains, and desserts that pleased the adults, the 8 year old, and the baby in our party! Thank you for making our first birthday dinner as new UK residents one we will never forget! We can’t wait to come back and dine again.

Very nice restaurant, relaxed atmosphere and staff very friendly and professional. Food was delicious and well presented. Will return at a later date for sure as every plate that was coming out to the tables looked amazing. Well done to Caitlin, Leah, Hugo and I believe Chef Charlie.

Callum was friendly and found ways to connect with the customers, whilst giving excellent service. Customer says “he’s a nice lad” the food with spectacular.

We were greeted and attended to all evening by Annie & Harriet who were both pleasant and very efficient. It was either Annie or Harriet that showed my daughter and het 17 month old son, all the way from the upper floor dining area to the baby change toilet at the far end of the ground floor. Thank you! Charlie was our chef and I must say the food was scrumptious! All in all a gorgeous evening ✨️

Excellent experience! Very well looked after by Katie & Vic - couldn't do enough. Birthday celebration for my daughter, didn't mention it to staff, but had put a small note on booking. I'd forgotten about it, but they came in at the end of the meal with a lovely 'sweet plate', lit candle and sang Happy Birthday - nice touch. Furthermore, the food was excellent - couldn't be faulted!

I have given a 10/10 review before BUT Beware!!! They must have different chef's the food the second visit was absolute Rubbish ,They call this crab thermador open sandwich,,a slice very small thin cut bread some cheese melted on top and 0.10p chips Not even a raddish wouldn't cover third of the plate, worst £13.95 I've ever spent.my complaint is if you haven't got anyone who can cook close it down . Outright robbery . Try yourself make up your own mind you've been warned.

We decided to book the Brampton Mill for a family lunch, my wife booked online which was super easy and we had quick confirmation back, a very warm welcome as we arrived and shown to our table. The interior and exterior is superb and quaint and tastefully decorated. Throughout the meal we were served by Callum, he was a credit to hospitality and the restaurant, really attentive positive and obviously understood all of the menu and the food being served. The meal we then went onto receive was superb and we are informed this was down to Chef Lee, the entire experience from booking to leaving was fantastic and we cannot recommend enough

I was bored on the weekend and didn’t know what to do so decided to have a trip to The Brampton Mill and let’s say it was a brilliant decision. Where do i start, i arrived in the car park and the spot i parked in was lovely it had enough room to open the door without hitting anything 🥹 the walk to the door was beautiful and the scenery was gorgeous, then the greeting i had at the main door was second to none. I got seated at my table and ordered a roast which can i say was the best thing that has ever been in my mouth 🤤 The young lady that helped me was such a darling i think her name was Kate BUT the best part of my trip was the young man Callum he was SO helpful and a delight talking to and oh such a good looking fella. He was walking around in his black trousers which made him look so 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 so because of him i will be returning for another exceptional meal and leaving with his number 😉😂 I’d rate my experience 10/10.

Came in yesterday, service was amazing and the staff very polite and respectful especially one young man named Callum. Would highly recommend this place, it’s very calm and peaceful and felt that I could discuss any issues with staff with no problems!

Had a lovely lunch here Thursday last week. The food was delicious, everything was fresh and hot. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Harriet behind the bar who was extremely helpful, offering great suggestions and information on the food menu and drinks selection.

Both ladies who served us were very friendly and polite, Caitlin and Freya. Amazing food by chef Charlie.

Disappointed with our visit to the Mill which always used to be a ‘nice’ place to eat. We used to come regularly pre-2020. Doesn’t cater for tables for 2. We were initially seated in a spare corner (despite booking weeks ago), that we could barely fit into - one side crammed against the wall and the other sticking out into the main walkway, with speaker right above us which was very loud. The table was incredibly wobbly. We asked to move and despite lots of empty tables were told there was only one we were allowed to sit at, which again was in a walkway. They seem to only want 4+ people. I did see one man sat alone at a table for 4! The lady seating us was uncaring and seemed like she’d rather we weren’t there, same with the lady that bought our mains out. The food was reasonable enough but over priced. £100 for a meal for two with no alcohol, no starters, no sides, when you don’t even have a decent table isn’t good enough these days. We won’t return and will stick to the old bridge for a nicer experience. The one shining light was our server, Callum. He was excellent, friendly, attentive and all round charming - thank you Callum.

A place with such a welcoming atmosphere, whether that be the garden by the river in the sunshine, or cosy inside in the winter. The varying seasonal menus, and terrific service, I could not recommend more. We were previously served by Callum who was not only attentive, but friendly and adaptable. Great food, great atmosphere and great price.

I came into the Brampton mill a little down tbf I wasn’t having the greatest day but as soon as I was greeted by Callum it made my day 10 times better. He was the perfect mix of professional and friendly, made me feel like I was right at home, some real cracking jokes from that boy! And his food recommendations were perfect. I will definitely be back! The food was delicious and the pub/restaurant is beautiful, not to mention the the stunning walks around the property. This was a 10/10 for me and I recommend to all.

Had a lovely time with my girlfriend. It was our first time trying it and food was excellent and so was the service. We had Callum who served us and he was such a nice young man. Highly recommend to everyone!

We were looking forward to visiting Brampton Mill. The venue and location are stunning, and the water wheel is a total delight. The beer was also very fresh and tasty. However, the food was a real letdown. We got a cheese burger and the dirty burger and were left totally underwhelmed. Both of the meat patties were dry and some ingredients were missing. Neither of them lived up to the description, let alone the price. The dirty burger is over £21 and should be gourmet for that price. It may have just been a bad night in the kitchen, but disappointed to spend £55 on two burgers and a couple of pints.

Both myself and my husband had our anniversary dinner. Food was very nice and arrived promptly. Staff were friendly and polite. Nice touch when our puddings came out, a large plate with both desserts and a Happy Anniversary message.

Great lunch catch up with extended family, our server Callum was great. His knowledge was excellent to what we consider to be a new menu, we’ll definitely be back.

Monday night date night with what’s her face, BOSH. Menu is unreal. Some say it’s pricey but that’s what makes some a peasant in my eyes. I’ve eaten here many times and will continue to do so, no, riff, raff. I usually have a steak or the pork and scallops. Not last night though. I went for the dirty burger, which, for such a nice establishment feels like I was cheating on all the other options available. No regrets. I smashed it. ‘Use your knife and fork babe’. NAH. Held it up like the cave man I am and smashed it down me. Cheque please. Service was great, atmosphere was great. Everything was great. Thanks.

Had lunch at the Mill and it was delicious. I was on my own, it doesn't bother me, but was made to feel so welcome. I ordered picky bits, croquettes, which were quite large and full of shredded steak. I had a side of macaroni cheese and the a side of fries, all was delicious, took a croquette home for supper. The Mill is in a lovely setting with a big car park at the back. Loads of outdoor seating, which will be lovely in warmer weather. I will definitely return on my next visit to Brampton

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Brampton Mill Huntingdon the other night, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what really made our evening stand out was the outstanding service from our server, Amie. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. But onto the food - oh, the food! I ordered the fish and chips, and it was cooked to perfection. The fish was moist and flaky, the batter was crispy and golden, and the chips were cooked just right. It was a generous portion, too, so I left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. Overall, I'm so impressed with this place and can't wait to come back. Amie, you're a star! Thank you for making our evening so special.

The food was great and server was excellent confident chatty and helpful. We have eaten here over the years and to be perfectly honest, in the past we have left feeling a little underwhelmed. This weekend we left feeling really positive and will definitely be back the chicken satay starter and the crab and prawn linguine were particularly good. Thanks to Sami for the amazing service.

I decided to treat the ladies from work who have worked so hard to a meal out so it was treat for all of us to not have to cook at home. The food was lovely, being a Sunday we all had a Sunday roast and I asked for a rare piece of beef and the chef didn't disappoint as you can see. It was lovely. It took a little while to take our order but for us this wasn't a problem and throughout the meal the servers were brilliant and very attentive, offering further drinks and bringing our meals out when they were ready. We decided to have pudding, and enjoyed the meal up to the point when I had nearly finished my coffee when we were informed that our there were people waiting in the bar for our table and that they needed to have our table. I couldn't believe it, we had been there for 1.5hrs but I am a firm believer that when you go for a meal, it should always be a special occasion and you should enjoy eating out and not just go for food. We couldn't have been given the bill any quicker and I felt they just wanted us out, we had had our meal and now you need to leave. I've been in restaurants before where if they need the table then they suggest taking coffee in the bar so they can get further covers in but this wasn't the case. The time for our meal wasn't sufficient and your decision to get rid of us hasn't been appreciated and four people from different families have left very disappointed and I felt very embarrassed.

Had a fantastic meal at the Brampton Mill. Chef was Charlie. Everyone’s starter and main was incredible. So tasty and the best halloumi fries I have ever tasted. It is an amazing venue, so unique and the tables were nicely situated and spaced. Good customer service, friendly and helpful. Would definitely go there again for a special occasion.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining here twice this week and both times have been fantastic. Firstly with three others and then as a party of 14. Great food from Charlie our chef and excellent service from Freya and Vic. Highly recommend for a celebration or quiet meal - especially the Duck Salad.

Freya and Vic were fantastic, so were Ryan, Hugo and Sami who brung out the food and everyone else who helped our table! We were a large party and some had allergies which were all catered for and the food by Charlie was amazing!

Amazing food and very welcoming service

Very quick service, but to the extent where we felt rushed out the door, we hadn't even asked for the bill before it was quickly placed on the table even though we'd just ordered fresh drinks. For a party of four to feel this way after not even 90 minutes is very disappointing. The fish was also undercooked.

Attended a wake in the 'top room'. Lovely venue, buffet and service. A interesting place with good parking, quirky inside with lots of nooks.

Lovely pub and restaurant by the river. Good range of drinks and food was very good for the price. Personally there was too much pork to fat ratio, about 50/50 whereas I prefer a 1/3rd fat to 2/3rd meat ratio. Crackling was expertly done. Dauphinouise potatoes could have been a little creamier, but very tasty. Veg very nicely cooked and seasoned. My wife had the sea bass, generous portion, fish well cooked and seasoned and the sides were perfectly done. For desert I had the mini trio, all very good, however my personal favourite was the lemon tart. The other two were brownie with vanilla ice cream and creme brulee. My wife had the gluten free sticky toffee pudding. The sponge was a good consistency and not too dense. Unfortunately the toffee had not seeped through the sponge which was the only negative. Overall a great little spot, especially when the sun is out.

Unfortunately for the first time ever, The Mill did not meet expectations Long waiting times for puddings and when they arrived they were burnt and inedible No apology and although taken off the bill it still worked expensive as we paid full price for the main, even though we had ordered a 2 course set lunch Such a shame :-(

I cannot thank the team enough @ The Brampton Mill for hosting my mother’s 80th birthday celebration, thank you to the Chef for getting all the food out quickly and a special thank you to Lauren who looked after all of us (25 people).

Sami our server was lovely and very helpful with diary needs. Food was nice, beef was a bit over done for rare, and roast potatoes could have been fluffier (cooked more). Veg was good.

Not been for a while but very pleasantly surprised. The food was superb - really tasty and beautifully presented. Full appreciation to Charlie the chef. The service provided by Caitlin & Lauren was professional - both very efficient and friendly, and attended to our needs for the day making our experience most enjoyable and in a very pleasant atmosphere. We will be back very shortly, only sorry we've been away for so long.

My partner and I came here for his birthday meal and we were so disappointed. I will say, the restaurant and the surrounding area is beautiful. I put on the booking that it was his birthday and could we please have a nice table. They gave us a wobbly table in a noisy part of the restaurant. They then didn’t have one of the few ingredients that went into my drink but didn’t tell me until i’d already waited for it. We then ordered mains. My boyfriend asked for no mushrooms and a side of salad with his steak. They left the mushrooms on - no big deal, he picked them off. The salad didn’t come at all until he was almost finished eating and I asked for it. They took the salad off the bill which was appreciated. We then ask for the bill, not only did they leave the mushrooms on (they come with the steak) but they charged us extra for them! Also, I don’t expect anything for free but i’ve never been anywhere nice that doesn’t bring anything out for birthdays - just wrote on the receipt. Two mains and two cocktails were £70 which was appalling considering the experience we had.

Very good service at lunchtime for our whole table of 8 and especially helpful with suggestions and adjustments for our coeliac guest.

Had a delicious 3 course meal today - excellent quality and value for money. Friendly attentive staff with quick service even though very busy. Delightful surroundings - a real treasure down at the riverside.
