Local Cafe in Huntingdonshire

Just had a scam call from this landline and when I’ve googled it it comes back to this cafe. Male claiming to be from O2.

Great food, good prices, friendly staff - what's not to like!

One of the best cafes I’ve ever been to Extremely clean , friendly and reasonable priced.

Does what it says on the tin. Never had a bad meal here.

Was pleasantly surprised.. Very nice bacon and sausage....and they do gluten free bread. Very decent portions at a good price! Very friendly and very very clean toilet.... Great find and will be my new local when in huntingdon. Highly recommend!!!!!

Just popped in for a late breakfast and was very impressed. Good food cooked to perfection and prompt friendly service. Everything was kept spotlessly clean too. I would not hesitate in recommending this café for anyone wanting honest food at a reasonable price in pleasant surroundings.

Best place for a breakfast ( other meals are available from what I'm told 😁 ). Staff and the cook are brilliant and cook they order and cook your food how you want it and are very friendly making your visit even mor enjoyable.

Very busy place, but the service was excellent and the food was delicious and there was plenty of it.

Just passing through Huntingdon and wanted a quick lunch. Ordered a sandwich each and a plate of chips to share. WOW Loads and loads of delicious chips and the ham salad and chicken sandwich were so full!!! This place is a gem, reasonably priced, great menu. Give it a go!

Not wheelchair accessible. Had to leave mine outside as tables were too close together to get a wheelchair around the tables, or I would have been knocking into everything. Struggled with just a pushchair. The need to replace the highchairs as none of them have straps on and a toddler can easily get out so couldn't really relax and enjoy the food properly as we were constantly getting her to sit back down. The waiter didn't listen very well. Asked for a vanilla and a chocolate milkshake but got two chocolate ones. They tasted just like every milkshake in a cafe. Nothing special, which was disappointing. The breakfast, however, was delicious. It's nice to have the bacon and eggs cooked properly and the beans not stewed. I'm pretty sure the hash browns are actually homemade. The sausage was a good size and nicely seasoned. If they are not, they are really good remade ones. Avit on the pricey side, but you pay for the quality of the products, and it's ALOT better than somewhere like wetherspoons. Will definitely go here again for breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic. Very very clean and well presented cafe. Friendly polite staff and my breakfast was cooked to perfection 👌 tip top quality, very impressed and I would definitely return and recommend.

I have given 1 star because after doing a delivery a few weeks back I nipped in there to get a coffee and something to eat, it seemed reasonable so I took out my bank card only to be told, " sorry we only take cash". So I left something doesn't seem right to me a cafe that only takes cash but maybe they have a legit reason. So that's my review however the pictures of the food did look nice, the place was clean and the staff seemed friendly enough although a little hard to understand as English doesn't seem to be there first language. I wish I could have tried there stuff but I don't carry cash..

This is a fantastic classic local cafe, I love going there. Very well maintained, clean and spacious. Friendly service and decent portions. Yes, inflation has hit them just like every other restaurant in the past 3 years but you can't beat the non-pretentious atmosphere and menu selection.

Food is always good but pricey for a cafe. Need to update to cards as it's cash only

Cash only! Fastest service I have ever had and the food is pretty god as well. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Toilets are clean. Food is reasonably priced and are large portions, you will not leave hungry! Good place for a quick bite to eat.

We went for breakfast and coffee. The food was excellent as was the service. We ordered two set breakfasts at £8.00 each and a big breakfast with everything costing £12.50. As always you never leave here hungry and feel that you have had value for your money.

This is the go-to place for a decent bite to eat! Great quality and affordable, the Local cafe is THE BEST in Huntingdon!

Went for food there with in-law and had a rude waiter who could see I was on the phone and kept asking what we wanted when we had explained and asked that he comes back once I was off the phone once we ordered food it was cold really oily and wasn't cooked enough had a very upset stomach after will not be returning I used to be a regular customer but felt let down by the service and food wasn't the previous standards they used to be and over priced for what we ordered

This has to be one of the cleanest cafes I've ever been to. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love visiting here for a mid day breakfast on my days off. Relaxed atmosphere, no frills, and most importantly, hygienic x

Nice clean toilets at this Cafe, Coffee is great it really is a nice cup of coffee. I know food prices have gone though the roof but I didn't really feel it was vaule for money on the baguette. We had roast beef baguette and it was just that so you can't really complain. It wasn't sliced beef more like left over bits / ends that had been reheated and rather dry in a white baguette with butter. I mean it wasn't offensive I just wouldn't have it again. The chips where nice and a good sized portion. Staff really nice and friendly and the cafe was clean, I'd return for coffee most definitely.

Now reopened after thier holiday. As normal good food, politely severed, at reasonable prices.

Great place to have a peaceful breakfast. They have all day breakfast along with lunch and dinner options. No halal meat option only vegetable option.

Service and cleansliness! Perfect. Food overpriced and of average quality. I paid over £17 for my sheperds pie meal, extra veg and two Drinks. Sherds pie had very little potatoes on it and was orange. The carrots perfect and not frozen. Cabbage was dripping with water. Roast potatoes i think aunt Bessie's as they dry and not crispy. I arrived when it was busy and the noise was quite unbearable.. I am a little shocked by the prices compared to the quality. If it was a cafe and i was charged £12 it be expensivw bu doable. But at £17 i expect much better food and drinks. My fizzy drink arrived in it bottle with a plastic tumbler. Even wetherspoons@manage ice and lemon in a glass. I wont visit again as food was slopply over cooked and overpriced. Did mot enjoy the food or experience. 3 stars for staff and cleansliness. No star for calling yourself a restaraunt. Things could change for lirtle or no money fort the better

Its a nice little place but value for money you will not find here. 2 orange juice 2 teas and 2 breakfast not far off £30. Workers are really nice and service is quick.

for the space they have they take to many people in, no space for yourself basically on top of other people's tables. The food is way too expensive for what it is, 2,50 for what tastes like a very week instant coffee, sausages were horrible and the chips covered in oil, my partners and child's plate had hairs on it.. honestly just the entire experience was horrible.

Got to be one if not the best cafes ever It’s spotless,friendly and the food is perfect I’ve traveled many places from all over Europe USA etc and nothing compares to this amazing place

We know the family very well and the food orders are quick, as soon as you go through the door, the food is brillant, most times it is busy but when it's slightly quiet you can guarantee a seat where you would like to go.

Good portions, good-ish food, the time we went, it was quite warm out but it was even warmer inside the cafe. Pricing was ok. There were loud kids in the restauraunt which dampened the experience more.

We had coffee and eggs on toast on 7 July 2022. We were served quickly by pleasant staff. Coffee was perfect, delicious and hot. Eggs just right. Ladies toilet was immaculately clean. We will return for sure.

Been here twice now, once with the Mrs and our 9 month old baby and the 2nd time was me and my mum, foods lovely and well priced, staff are really pleasant and kind, defiantly recommend, one thing I will say is it is cash only, no card, however if you make the same mistake as me first time around sainsburys is about a 2 minute walk for cash

The food was nice and the table service was really good as well, it was worth the money, definitely would have to go again.

Went in and asked for the soup of the day, was given 5 options. I asked if it was fresh, and the reply was no, its canned. Purchased a Tea for me and a coffee for my partner and both were bland. Tea came already made with milk and teabag taken out, it was weak and tasted like warm milk. We both had pancakes as it was pancake day, pancakes came soaked in maple syrup. Turns out they had also been microwaved, and were soggy and chewy. Chefs and waitresses handle cash and then continue on with their duties without washing hands between, very very unhygienic and unsafe.
