Nuts Bistro in Huntingdonshire

Always a friendly welcome from staff. A regular stop for my cycle club. Great range of coffee and cakes to fuel us up for the homeward leg.

Only called in for coffee and enjoyed watching traffic go past from window seat while drinking the lovely latte.

Staff were kind enough to fit us in for afternoon tea at short notice, and I'm very glad they did. Big pot of nice tea, 3 cups each. Very generous home made cakes, beautiful fresh sandwiches and a large warm scone. Excellent value for money(they also do a gentleman's tea), we will be back. The ĺunches looked and smelt lovely too 🙂

Very nice buzzy coffee shop good atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was tasty....we only had small plate with brown filled rolls but it was nicely served up with a salad and coleslaw

Came into this quaint corner shop type bistro which was warm on this wet and cold day, served promptly and food arrived quickly and was hot, cappuccino which came from a machine, so often the case now in every establishment was vile, think it has not been cleaned out as this normally is the case, I work in retail so know this affects the taste. Marked down for the coffee, and the bill was about £22.00 Town centres such as St Ives are slowly dying, which is really sad for shops such as these, far too many shops have closed and replaced with Turkish Barbers

Good honest food at a reasonable price and great service.

Helpful friendly staff, good coffee, delicious scone with jam and cream. No customer WiFi, but mobile signals here are fine.

We had afternoon tea with scones which was really tasty. The staff was also helpful and the overall ambience of the place was very calm.

Absolutely delightful brunch experience at Nuts Bistro! The brie and cranberry panini was a flavourful delight, and they seamlessly accommodated my husband's request for extra mushrooms in his full English. The mango, pineapple, and passion fruit smoothies were a refreshing highlight. Attentive staff and the generously sized, delicious cakes made it a memorable visit. Five stars all the way!

We visit Nuts Bistro each time we’re in St.Ives as it’s always been a decent place for a reasonable meal at a reasonable cost. Our latest visit was at lunchtime on Saturday 11th November. It was busy, one table left. In spite of the fact that it was full - by the time we were seated, at least - we were served drinks very quickly, our order was taken and our food arrived in less time than I expected (due to all tables being taken). The quality of our food was the best I’ve had in all the visits we’ve made. I spoke to the owner after we’d finished and realise it has changed hands since we last visited. For the better, I might add. I fully recommend Nuts Bistro, and if you’re already a customer, it just got better. Thank you to the chef and all the staff. Definitely, see you soon.

Food waa lovely and would definitely eat there again and again. Disappointed to see an elderly man be told no hot food as they shut at 3. It was 2.02 at latest I checked time! He ended up with fruit scones and a drink. It wouldn't of made difference for 2 mins as you were still bringing jacket potatoes out after him. No checking of what he wanted just blanket NO. We felt sorry for him and paid his bill for him. Doesn't cost to be kind, you dont know everyone's story!

Lovely food friendly staff and atmosphere

Have been to St Ives many, many times, but never noticed this place! Went in today, as an off chance and had a lovely snack of bacon and sausage panini, which came with salad and coleslaw. and a shared bowl of chips, plus our drinks. Very good value, compared to some we go to, and nicely cooked. We will definitely come back. Worth the drive over.

Sorry to say our sausage rolls came quick but almost frozen

Really easy menu, great service, and really good prices. We had the veggie breakfast at 12, and that kept us going for the rest of the day.

Took some family in for a coffee and cake excellent, and I had a bacon and brie pannie excellent too. I would definitely go there again, and thank you to all the staff 🙂🙂

Lovely food, quick service, lovely people working here. My partner and I keep returning here for the big portions for a reasonable price and lovely atmosphere. One of the best lunch/breakfast spots in St Ives!

Absolutely love it in there. Staff are exceptionally friendly. The menu suits all tastes. It's always clean, including the toilets which is a big plus in my book!!

Busy, buzzy, even the Mayor was having his lunch, the chain of office discreetly tucked away. Veggie breakfast there, tip-top classic club sandwich there and MOST IMPORTANTLY a splendid cup of coffee 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Visited a busy and bustling Nuts Bistro today for lunch. We were presented with a menu full of choice with many choices also on specials boards around the room. Lovely friendly and professional waitress sat us down and when ordering we both chose all day breakfasts - my husband meat and myself vegan. I was so pleased with the meal when it promptly arrived. There seemed to have been a big big effort made on the vegan breakfast to have lots of choice. From vegan bacon, to avocado the plate was bursting full and perfectly cooked. My husband washed his meal down with a delicious smoothy and we both said how much we enjoyed our meal and how full we were! Such a great friendly and good value for money meal- we shall definitely be back soon ☺️

This place used to be good. Last two times we’ve been here we’ve been met with unfriendly staff (particularly the red headed one who clearly doesn’t want to be there). On Saturday we turned up for a late lunch. There were only 5 tables occupied and so it was surprising we were sat there for 15 minutes being ignored while they occasionally cleared the other tables! I then went up to the counter to try and order, only to be told (curtly) to sit back down again and wait to be served. This didn’t happen for another 5 minutes so left and went to Weatherspoons - friendly staff, good value - it’s almost as if Nuts don’t want to be in business anymore. Such a shame.

Service was great and food was fresh and delicious. Only ducking points because there were some flies in the pestering us while we were eating. I know it's summer and the door was open but it's still a restaurant after all. Would still go back though!

Had an all day breakfast today 22/05/23 it was wonderful and the jacket potato my wife looked big and tasty, the staff were very helpful.

Booked for a birthday meal and had the gluten free afternoon tea. The Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, fitting us in at an earlier time to the time I booked when we rang. The food was lovely and couldn’t believe how much we got for the price. Thankyou so much. We will definitely book again when we visit again.

Lovely! We walked from houghton mill through the thicket to st.ives and stopped off at nuts bistro for some lunch. Reasonably priced nice food, I even took a bit of the specials quiche home for my dinner and it was delicious. Staff were all very friendly 😊

Amazing value and great food and service!

Chose the busiest time to go for lunch (on a Monday because of the market) so we sat outside. A member of staff offered to have a look and see if a table becomes available inside because it was a little bit chilly. Very kind and helpful. Food was good too; I had a chicken mayo toasted sandwich.

We decided to return after having an amazing Christmas afternoon tea last year. We had an excellent Gentleman's Afternoon Tea this time at Nuts Bistro. Service was great and the food was delicious too. Everything was home made, the sausage rolls were especially good quality. Highly recommend it. We will definitely return again.

Good variety on the menu at reasonable prices. The food portions are a good size and arrive swiftly and hot. Tables are a bit cramped but a very good place to eat.

Nice café serving lunch options, breakfast and main meals. Also coffee and cakes too. I had an omelette with salad which was lovely and perfect for a quick lunch. Was always busy so it is obviously popular with the locals. Would come back again

I don’t normally leave reviews but felt I must after visiting. I have had the privilege of being able to have had quite a few cakes and pastries from Nuts Bistro and whenever we get them we are always blown away with the delicious food and presentation. The owner is such a lovely person and very generous with the portion sizes. They’ll even go that little bit further and specifically make you a custom order if it’s not on the menu. You HAVE to try the carrot cake. It’s genuinely the best we’ve had and we now get a full cake instead of a slice to share with friends. The photos are of the ‘new Easter brownie’ a must for any cake lover.

It was a lovely little cafe for a bite to eat. They have lots of options, sweet and savioury. The service is good. There is seating outside so you can bring your pooch. They also have takeaway options for afternoon tea, which would be lovely to take down to the river on a summer day.

Table for two for breakfast. Cappuccino and flat white were good. Also had a bottle of spanish orange and clementine juice, that was lovely. Two "famous full English breakfasts" Both well cooked and no problem with changing up orders to suit. One of us ordered poached egg was spot on. Hash browns were fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and welcoming bistro/cafe. All in all, good experience and would go back.

Lovely jacket potato and butter sandwich service was good nice pot of tea unfortunately cakes were very limited we had coffee n walnut which looked nice but was very dry to eat seems a shame as cakes in the past have been rather good

Go to Nuts every week. Delicious home made cakes and great coffee, eccles cakes are a favoirite lots of different types of cakes. Food is always perfect and good value. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Always recommend to friends.

If you find yourself in Cambridge, jump on the A (guided route) bus to St Ives and visit this wonderful Bistro. I discovered by chance five weeks ago during bad weather and was overwhelmed by the welcoming and attentive Service, 'Big boy' breakfast and cleanliness. So much so that I travelled an hour every weekend to date. Sadly today was my last visit due to job relocation. However, it's safe to say that I'll definitely keep the promise I made to the wonderful waitress of returning one day *Sat 28th of January. Two hours of travelling was well worth it. Despite the regular waitress not working. Service and Breakfast were exceptional.

This was my 2nd visit in the last couple of weeks for a lite bite to eat for lunch with my wife. We had tried a couple of places in town that we were familiar with before our 1st visit. Wetherspoons were so understaffed & slow we left & went to the Golden Lion who are charging £10 for a fish finger sandwich, ridiculous. So wandered down to Nuts Bistro. Fish Finger sandwich including chips for £6.95, fresh salad & lovely coleslaw to accompany it. Very friendly staff, extremely helpful & great food. 2nd visit we had an omelette, again very well cooked & presented with fresh ingredients. Both visits cost no more than £24. Excellent value & excellent food. Highly recommended, you can also get a glass of wine or a beer if you fancy it. The mulled wine on the first visit was also excellent.

Nice atmosphere with jazz music playing. Great food (especially the milkshakes, they come in a proper jar and everything) but it is always full so you might have to wait a bit.

Lovely food had a breakfast..hard to beat and great value for money...make sure you are hungry if you go for a big breakfast.

First visit and we were impressed. Welcoming, clean Bistro serving a good selection of hot and cold food. We are Vegetarian and were pleased we had a lot of choice, (there is also a lot for non-veggie) the service was great, Sally looked after us very well. Recommend this place to eat and would re-visit when next in the area. Husband had fish finger sandwich and I had jacket potato with beans and cheese. Both enjoyed our food. Vegetarian options: Lot son menu to choose from both hot and cold Wheelchair accessibility: The door threshold a little awkward as slopes up from street but once my husband held the door open an elderly couple got in no problem ,wife was in a standard wheelchair Dietary restrictions: I noticed Gluten free options as well as Vegan and Vegetarian.

This is a great bistro, quality and price are to rave about, Service is amazing. We tried a few different meals, all were amazing an very filling. Portions are pretty big, big enough to share (my mom and myself). the Avocado club is very tasty....

I was passing through St Ives on my way home from Cambridge, looking for somewhere for a quick lunch. I ordered the chicken fajitas. They were fabulous. Lovely salad, and crispy batter on the chicken. Pleasant serving staff. Would definitely return if that way again.
