The Grand Piano in Huntingdonshire

Been twice with our son from Buckden Marina. Nice place, really good homemade food and such a nice, friendly owner. Well done,

Pleasant staff, coffees were ok, but struggled to tell the difference between the Latte, Flat White and Cappuccino, they all looked exactly the same.

Poor hygiene, awful customer service—absolutely unacceptable. A dead green bottle fly (the kind that feeds on faeces and rotting flesh) was served today on my bacon, carefully covered by a fried egg. When I brought this up to the staff, I was shockingly accused of somehow being at fault and told it "beggars belief" that the fly was there. To make matters worse, they still charged us for the 2 meals, even though none of us (a family of 3) could touch the food after the discovery!

I came here again a few months ago and i wasn’t sure whether to comment on it or not but i do believe it has to be said. My experience this time at the Grand piano cafe in one word, disappointing. The owner, Donna, was immensely rude to her staff and whilst the food was okay at best I struggled to look past the mistreatment of her staff and made the experience saddening, to say the least. I’ve always loved pianos and was so excited to experience THE grand piano cafe again and when I was met with volatility, my excitement turned to distain. I have been here before and it was fairly nice however I am not sure I will come again after this experience.

i came in to come and get food .straight away the onwer was shouting at children still in school for not doing something right even tho they haven’t been trained properly .very poor behaviour would never come here again.

Disgusting service. Over priced food which is absolutely vile. The seating areas are dirty and the staff rude. Poor young girls working there and constantly being shouted at. Wont be going back

Horrible cold food and luke warm drinks. Staff rude. the place could do with a good clean looks like run by kids.

First of all I’d like to address the standard of food here they use the cheapest of the cheap meat is full of fat and gristle secondly let’s address the cleanliness of the place it shouldn’t have a licence to trade in food the hygiene is shocking thirdly let’s address the staff the main women who thinks it’s acceptable to treat young members of staff still in school who are trying there first job out like absolute garbage and poo on her feet basically gets children to work weekends to pay them £5 a hour to then treat them like dog poo it’s disgusting these young people are trying out there first job it’s a massive step in there lives and you Donna think it’s acceptable to treat them that bad that they cry while on shift and then leave and think this is how jobs in the future are going to be you should be ashamed of yourself I hope you never get another employee want to work for you you don’t deserve them horrible women

Very pleasant but disappointed with raspberry and coconut sponge, as was plain sponge thin coat of raspberry jam and sparingly scatter of coconut. No ice for drinks and cream tea no cream so sadly won't be returning

Customer service fine. Prices very high for what it is. Cheap food that is more pricey than London. Not very big portions either or nice food. For this we won't be back sorry :(

My FWB and I visited Friday, just after 10am. A great welcome, a fantastic breakfast - with a very tempting menu available! Bacon is thick, sausages are good, eggs are cooked properly, tea is in a nice pot, toast is lovely bread not the usual cheap stuff in other cafes we’ve visited. Really tasty, served amazingly quick (it was quiet at the time we visited but, soon had lots more guests arriving), and good prices. Had a little tinkle on the piano 🎹 🤪 Well worth a visit: thank you for our yummy breakfasts 😋😋 Regards, Douglas Valentine

We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door with really friendly and cheerful staff. Lovely atmosphere, good food and value for money. What more could you ask for. We will definitely be returning.

We found this place on Google after a good walk from Houghton Mill. We were made very welcome here and loved the informal and friendly atmosphere. The food was great with a huge choice, all home cooked. Service was very prompt. Prices are very reasonable. We would love to come back here on another visit to Cambridgeshire. Very highly recommended.

Lovely brekkie, fab and friendly service

A fantastic local that offers a great selection of tasty foods, with incredibly friendly staff whom are always there to ensure the best service possible. The only downside is it can mist up with seemingly no opening windows in the seating area and the lack of parking due to it's location, these however are NOT deal breakers if you're after great food!

Brilliant stop here on my bike ride. Lovely service, great food, loads of space. Highly recommended.

Fabulous bubble and squeak breakfast, vegetarian version. Homemade bubble and squeak, 2 different homemade vegetarian "sausages", 2 poached eggs and a heap of mushrooms. So tasty and healthy, just what I needed half way through our 8 mile walk. Thank you.

Popped in for breakfast on a Saturday - only one other couple inside, but more came during our visit. We were greeted with a smile and seated and the menus were brought to us immediately. Our order was taken promptly and arrived in lightening speed - we both had the bubble and squeak breakfast. It arrived really quickly and was absolutely perfect in every respect - 2 rashers of crispy bacon (as we had requested), sauted mushrooms, a huge round portion of delicious home made bubble and squeak and two perfectly poached eggs, all served with a smile and piping hot. This is our third visit but will not be our last!!!

Went here for lunch and had a really enjoyable meal, served by friendly staff who were real and enjoyed some banter. Not my first visit, won't be my last.

After walking the dog across portholme and through Goddy park what better place to go for a full breakfast, dog friendly & the staff are so polite and helpful ! Food cooked perfectly

Been here a few times, cheap and cheerful, food is OK, and the service is always friendly.

Great service and lovely friendly staff. Great location but the food could be better quality, for example the chips were just cheap oven chips & the milkshake was a let down as just a tall glass of milk with some crusha powder and a scoop of ice cream.

Coffee was average at best, sausage sandwich was alright but not happy being charged £2.75 for a baby chino... shocking really.

Nice little cafe but the warmed/microwaved cake was a bit weird as the frosting had slipped off, think I'd have preferred it cold. Parking not too good either but it's only a small town

Nice coffee, foods tasty, lovely atmosphere. Parking can be a bit tight but theres plenty other car parks available if you don't mind a few minutes walk.

Its a nice enough environment and the young lady who served us was attentive. However, my buttermilk chicken was so chewy and really unpleasant that I left it. I didn't ask fir a,replacement as we went in 45mins before closing. But really no excuse for a piece of chicken to be that tough.

Wow, what a superb breakfast and service. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience fantastic. They have seating inside and out, we opted for outside as the weather was delightful. The breakfast came quickly and as you can see 'The Major' massive (just about scoffed the lot)! I would say that it was not the cheapest breakfast but the quality is worth the price. We will be coming back for sure.

Coffees left on a tray with spillage in saucers. No napkins. Coffees weak and watery. When we complained we were told that we had been rude from the moment we arrived!

Our food was very good. The cafe was spotlessly clean and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. A very good experience, we'll definitely come again.

The owner Donna is a lovely lady, food cooked by a proper chef. Old fashioned puddings eg proper crumble not the oaty version. !! We enjoyed an All day breakfast x Lovely place, highly recommended !! Puddings to go.... definately be coming back x

We went there on a Sunday so I appreciate that there wasn't cakes out on display and that they couldn't provide a milk alternative the staff were lovely. Just food was a bit disappointing. When you go out and have a bacon sandwich I think you naturally expect nicer bread then what you would have at home perhaps. It was very thin ,cheap bread and there was literally 2 slices of bacon. It wasn't very special, another person in our party ordered a sausage sandwich and the same thing. we had never been in there and based on the experience I wouldn't bother making an effort to go out of my way to go back. But its lovely to see something open on a Sunday where people can go it was a friendly, comfortable atmosphere especially for my Grandmother who enjoys a visit there. X

Sadly the afternoon tea wasn’t much to get excited about.. A few basic sandwiches, some dry cake and a couple of what looked like brought in scones. Not great value for money I’m afraid to say.

Loved it there. Read some reviews before driving West Midlands and this had come up trump's with the ones I read. It does show that we read to find places of interest of in my case, food or coffee. The late breakfast for us both were fantastic. If we're driving this direction again, the place will have our custom.

We were visiting the area and asked a local chap to recommend somewhere to go for lunch. We were so pleased that he told us about this lovely cafe. All food was prepared and cooked in their own kitchen and it was beautiful. The friendly welcome and pleasant atmosphere was the 'cherry on the cake'.

Popped in on the off chance for a Sunday brunch, warm welcome and the host explained that a few people arrived just before us so there would be a short wait. Excellent communication. Full breakfast was amazing, service was excellent. Highly recommended 👌

Delicious warm scones and hot coffee. You don't very often get hot coffee (health and safety) which is why I have said this. Definitely a friendly cafe with a varied menu and lovely staff

We booked for 4. Then amended to 6! I am gluten free (over 25 years). No problem. Meals delicious, hot & tasty. Not rushed to finish. Friendly service. Covid rules adhered to. For me Choice of 3 gf desserts (normally choice of ice cream only). We all plan on going again. 1st visit for us all for meal. 4 of us have had coffee & cake prior to "lockdown"!

Visited as a walk-in customer & made to feel very welcome by Donna, just had a coffee but when we move to this area we will definitely visit this cafe as the menu & food looks fab, Iain & Carole.

A fantastic little Oasis in the heart of a beautiful town called Godmanchester. The second we walked in we were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff who work there. The food was amazing, home cooked and tasty. The service was second to none. We had a great meal, good conversation and in such a beautiful setting.
