The food was gorgeous, the portion huge. Quickly made. The staff were helpful. Masses of prawns in my order. Great value for money.

Heard this was great food - duck was very dry not enough plum sauce either provided. Sweet and was too crunchy and watery sauces all dishes weren’t great. 55.00 for two of us. Not amazing Not worth the money - I’ve had lots better

Always consistently good, delivery never late

Tried Victor Chan's for the first time this evening. We hadn't made a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. The interior is clean, fresh and more chic than most chinese restaurants. The service was impeccable - efficient, friendly and attentive but without being too invasive. The food was delicious, every dish piping hot, full of flavour and beautifully presented. We enjoyed every mouthful. We had set menu number 2. I'm not sure why the comments about the atmosphere, it was busy although this was a Saturday evening. But there was also nice background music and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Great hot and sour soup but the Kung po wasn't as spicy as it normally is

Just ordered a takeaway from here for the first time. Delilery was quick. The food was superb. Great value will go back.

We went on a Sunday evening and it was very quiet which was great. The service was excellent, the lady was attentive but not pushy. The food was amazing.

Never tried this take away before but thought it’s about time I tried as the local reviewers rate this place very highly. It certainly didn’t disappoint! Lovely sweet and sour chicken balls with proper chicken! Sumptuous chicken curry and fried rice! My number one favourite Chinese takeaway!!

So the food and the service was amazing. The people there are so nice to you. The downside is it is so quiet. It's like a morgue. Lucky for us there was nine of us making a little bit of noise but maybe a little bit of music. Bit more scenery to look at are or something. Was just a little bit like plain Jane but the food and the service made up for it

Best Chinese I’ve had in 20 years nuff said !!

Ordered a takeaway this evening, 35 pound later and most was inedible. Vermicelli noodles were a ball of stodge and completely plain with no flavour at all. Seaweed was burnt and chewy. Mixed "vegetable" in black bean was a container full of onion with 3 slices of carrot for nearly 5 pound!! Lemon chicken tastes poor and lemon sauce has that fake horrible taste to it. Egg fried rice isn't fried just white boiled rice with egg in it, bland. Poor quality food. Don't order from Victor Chan, you will be disappointed and the food will end up in the bin.

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered to campsite. Quicker than expected and very friendly lady drove right to the gate after phoning us first. All the food was delicious and plentiful - enough for the next day too. Highly recommended.

Lovely, attentive staff and quiet atmosphere (which was pleasant). Food was decent. A little trouble with getting our dessert ready so we had a staggered dessert which was a shame.

Best Chinese in St Neots, period!

We were camping up the road looking fot a Chinese restaurant. After walking out of one we stumbled across this jem. Lovely and clean. Friendly service and a great set menu. Such a shame to see it empty. Probably because it's a little out of the way of the high street. It's def worth a try.

Not sure about food. Tried website and its full of bugs and spam.

Friend had recommended but was disappointed! No welcome crackers in heard if!! Have to pay for them if you have them! Prawn toasts were delicious but served with no dipping sauce had to ask? Chow mien & noodles had to leave noodles I think we’re microwaved bean sprouts raw!! My fried prawn dish had no Sauce & wine by glass options very limited! Quality of food ie beef and prawns good nice clean restaurant just not quite right?

Had the set meal for 4. Utterly delicious. Top quality food, beautifully cooked and served. Best Chinese food I have had in many years - including meals in China and Hong Kong. Delightful and reasonably priced.

My parentsand I frequented Victor Chan a couple of times a year pre-Covid, and since Covid my partner and I have had a fair few takeaways from there, especially since one of the only other decent Chinese takeaways in St Neots stopped delivering to our village. The takeaway is very good and I wold highly recommend. For my Dad's birthday, my parents and I decided to go to Victor Chan for a meal tonight for the first time for a few years. The food is still very good which is what I expected given recent good experience with the takeaway. Unfortunately, our evening was ruined by an extremely loud party of 12 directly next to us. In the room was the party, our table of three, another family of three and a family of four. We could tell the family of four had complained about the noise and nothing seemed to be done. Having had enough, and not being willing to shout at the top of my lungs to enable my Mum to hear conversation with my Dad and me, I decided to go to the bar to order more drinks and make a complaint myself at the same time. The waiter confirmed that the table of four had also complained but said there was nothing he could do and that if we wanted a quiet table next time we should request this on booking so we could be seated in the other room! We don't mind a bit of hubbub, it adds to the atmosphere, but I work in an environment that is, at times, loud enough to require hearing protection and the noise from this table was more than anything I had experienced at work. One member of the group was, at one point, swearing loudly which really ruined the ambience. After I had complained, the other table of three also complained and I believe they actually left early as they arrived after us and left quite a while before we did, so I don't believe they would have had time to eat a full meal at a reasonable, relaxed pace. At this point the waiter did say something to the group and they quietened down for a few minutes before returning to their former din. Fortunately at this point our taxi arrived and after a lot of problems with the card machine we were able to leave. I appreciate that a restaurant can't tell in advance if a group is going to be noisy or not, but I feel the waiter was very reluctant to do anything about it and more should have ben done to impress upon them that they needed to speak at an acceptable level or else leave to stop disturbing other diners. The group may have been spending a large sum of money on that night, however we would have been regular repeat customers. Now, I'm afraid we won't be returning and will book somewhere that takes the comfort of their diners more seriously in future.

Nice atmosphere although might be a bit loud in the main room. The food was pretty good. Desserts were ok. Service was very good and staff were good.

The chicken with cashew takeaway was undercooked for my friends birthday treat, it actually made her sick on her big day. Couldn't be bothered to go back for a refund but won't be going back. First and last visit.

Fantastic Chinese food, our absolute favourite restaurant in the area. Friendly, attentive service, really good vegetarian and vegan options and reasonably priced. Miss the restaurant and hope you open as soon as possible!

The restaurant is modern but they need table clothes for the price they charge.. Drinks very expensive. Food was OK. Soup was good but very small portion. Duck was good though. Mains Cold chicken Rice was bland. Chilli beef was beef no chilli. 2 pieces of carrot. All serve on dishes more. Like I have at home. No plate.Heaters so food went cold. Need more waiters The ambience was poor. Would not go back.

Staff were very rude, we was 15 minutes late and we was accused of being an hour late. Would recommended not using this take away service. The quality of food is very poor. Tasted like it had been reheated. Disgusting.

Best Chinese in the area..not greasy like the rest

Came here for a meal and it was actually very delicious and my family loved it. Very reasonable prices, but portions sizes could've been bit bigger. But, still I am giving Victor Chen 5 stars because of their incredible, kind and very helpful table service and glamorous but calm interior setup. If you love Chinese food, this is a must go place if you are in St. Neots. Thank you. Thank you.

I ordered a takeaway based on the reviews I read on here,and spent roughly £32. I'm giving a "poor" review based on taste and hopefully the Chow mein order was made incorrectly -otherwise I'm lost for words. The Good bits - Sweet and sour chicken balls, Deep fried chicken Chili and salt - this was ok but far too dry and the rest - Chicken Chow Mein - Absolutly awful. A dish of noodles with bits of chicken mixed in it. It wasn't chow mein and I'm hard pushed to say what exactly it was supposed to be. Going to the dog for his food tomorrow. Singapore Fried noodle. - Pretty good at first, not amazing, but then a bite of (perhaps) a prawn turned it inside out. A rotten/foul taste and the rest of this went to the bin. Chicken and pork w/mushrooms - I was worried when I saw this had settled into fat and water in the dish and wasn't that hot. My only guess it had been in the dish a long time. My order was placed and then I collected within 30min. Chips - ok... As I said, I went here based solely on the reviews here. I ordered at approx 6pm so maybe I got the leftovers of yesterday or something. I spent over 30£ and most of it went to the dog/bin. You may think with all the great reviews I'm being unfair. I assure you I'm not. This was my experience, and I'm only writing about that. Maybe it's wonderful the rest of the time and I got very unlucky. And after some investigation I see that the sit down menu seems pretty ok but the takeaway has a lot of complaints. I wish I noticed that earlier. Rubbish and don't get caught like me! I won't get unlucky here again that's for sure.

Despite having booked two weeks in advance (and left a contact number) for a Saturday evening the restaurant, on arrival, was closed. There was a small note on the door suggesting it would open again in 3 days. To shut and not call customers who have left a number is very poor. I would suggest you only use this restaurant for a walk in.

I’ve been to Victor Chan numerous times and have always had fantastic food. The staff are always kind and keen to serve. If I were to make one criticism it would be the atmosphere is slightly lacking and could feel more Asian however this is not to detract customers from the fantastic food.

Lovely meal, and quick and accurate service. Preferred when eating in the restaurant but a lovely take out meal also. Highly recommended!

Great service and great food such a nice atmosphere. We are repeat customers and everytime we come to Cambridge we visit Victor Chans.

My wife had been here with friends and so suggested that we came here. The outside is typical closed down pub. However, look beyond as it is really nicely done up inside. It really is a small restaurant, so booking is probably advisable. We had a lovely meal. The shared mixed starter was particularly good. Service was really efficient. However, perhaps it was too efficient, giving me the impression that we were required to eat up and get out to free a table. Perhaps this was very much down to it being such a small restaurant, but I found it a bit disconcerting. That's why a 4 not 5 from me. I would try it again though.

Fresh, hot and full of flavour. Had to wait a bit but that actually didnt bother us based on the quality of the food. So even if we dont go to the restaurant for a while we will definitely be using their takeout service from now on.

When it finally arrived we told the driver we would not be happy paying £43 when we waited for so long. Told us WE would have to call the restaurant to discuss it! Of course we thought that was ridiculous and expressed that to the driver. At that point the driver asked for the food back! APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE and no call to discuss issues or to apologise! ONLY RECOMMEND RESTAURANT where they can’t make you wait over 2 hours! Would rather waste food and loose customers than apologise, shocking!

Once again a lovely meal with glutenfree. Lacto free and no lemon all catered for. There was not many customers on a bank holiday Sunday early evening but still great attention to service was given.

A group of 6, we were seated on a round table which was great for conversation. The food served was hot & plentiful with us having plenty of choice. One of our party was gluten free and the menu provided for this was excellent.The only downside was that the drinks were a bit pricey but the whole evening of great service & delicious food outweighed this. Looking forward to a return visit.Just to add there's plenty of parking at the rear of the property.

We were a bit dubious from the outside but ventured in based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed. The menu has a great range of different dishes. All our choices were fresh and very tasty. The staff were all very attentive and helpful.

Have been wanting to try Victor Chan for a number of years, and it did not disappoint. Very attentive service, great choice of food. We went for the set menu which had a good variety of dishes, if I had one complaint that is the portion sizes. I could have eaten a bit more. Would definitely go back.

Just came back from Victor's with my family what a great meal take as long as you like over your meal just enjoy I think its the best oriental restaurant arounnd.

Myself and my wife had a take away last Friday night for our tea, we were so disappointed, we collected our takeaway it was hot but very bland, crispy duck was very dry and not much to it, the crispy beef had no beef, the ribs were terrible ect, we will never order from there again, i was also told the other day that they have changed management not not good

We searched online for a ch8nese that did gluten free food. Victor Chan came up trumps. Tbey have a dedicated menu to offer you but also when I asked about things off the main menu tbey were very knowledgeable. Good food. Good value. good time.

Air conditioned which was wonderful on such a hot evening - 32 degrees outside. The service was excellent and the food was tasty. Establishment was very clean.

Love this place whether take away or eating in have never been disappointed. Good quality meats used and always delivered piping hot within 45 mins max. The others just can’t compete with his standard so hope it never closes!

Ordered takeaway food service was quick but for a reason the food was reheated & the chicken satay which I’m guessing was cooked fresh , we could not eat . Due to the chicken being pink & undercooked .
