Great Food, especially love the prawn ball

Had a dragon boat last night 17/12/23 . Food was very dry and wasn't very nice in general .I got ill in the night. Had bad stomach pains, headache and feeling sick. Been like it all day. Not very nice food. Won't be back

Best Chinese takeaway in St ives Cambridgeshire

Visiting the area and was looking for a Chinese. Chose this place on the reviews, and it didn't disappoint. Thai green curry was amazing, and the crispy beef crispy. Squid and sweet and sour chicken also went down a treat. Really reasonably proced too. Just glad we don't live near :D

Just got our first takeaway in our new house and it did not disappoint. We ordered the finger meal box to start, and the beef with black bean sauce, house special chow mein, salt & pepper deep fried prawns. Delivery was fast, food was hot and delicious, and prices were fair. Will absolutely be ordering again.

Very nice and the best Chinese takeaway in St ives area in my opinion. The BBQ pork Chinese style was exemplary and the duck is beautiful. Our go to Chinese takeaway

Fantastic food, consistent quality and very friendly. I've used Dragon boat for over 18 years and never had reason to complain.

I really wanted to try this takeaway but after getting “line busy” for half an hour I gave up and went to the Flaming Wok! Not sure that I’ll try again as first impressions count.

When stopping in the area with relatives we have to have a takeaway from Dragon boat Always well cooked & tasty but delivery can be a long time as it’s very popular

Love the Dragon Boat. Great friendly service, always busy which tells you it’s good. Never had a bad meal from them. Missed an item once or twice but when phoned they have always rectified it. Wouldn’t go anywhere else as food is delicious. Thank you to all the team.

Food is delivered fast and always piping hot. Capital ribs are to die for, sweet and savoury. Sweet and Sour chicken balls are the best I've ever had. This is my only go to place for quality Chinese food. 100% love this place. Can't fault the ordering process or the friendliness of the folks who deliver the food.

Received the wrong dish what I didn't ask for. So called up to say and pretty much got told I was wrong and that was what I ordered. Been ordering from there for year's so thought I'll get it sorted better then that. But food still very nice. Was just a shame made me feel like I was wrong when I wasn't.

We moved into St Ives in Feb '19. As you'd expect, moving day was chaos. What shall we do for tea? Chinese takeaway. Good enough to get another one the next day. And several times since.

Friendly staff, quick service, good food and very reasonably priced. Will defo be a round two.

I’ve tried a few of the Chinese takeaways in St Ives, and this has to be the best by far! Food is always piping hot, and the flavours are brilliant. I am huge fan of Chinese food, and this really does hit the spot. This place can get very busy, so put your order in early for delivery or be prepared to collect! Thank you 😃

Maybe go here if your skint as it is cheap and they give you alot ( that's why I've gave it two stars) but the food is not very nice at all. One of the worst I've had in a while. Go to The Welcome and pay a bit more. It is much nicer.

This place is normally good but phoned order in asked for shredded beef egg fried rice and sweet and sour prawn balls collected order but when got home they gave me sweet and sour pork balls I don’t eat pork so was a waste of money this is twice now this has happened

A great value take away. Excellent choice on the menu and always great food - I've been having take-aways here for years and have always been very pleased. Staff are friendly and always greet with a smile. Easy to place an order over the phone. Parking outside the take-away can be difficult but there is a short walk away.

Has fast service and a waiting area inside, can call for delivery to home. Good quality food and tastes nice, arrives soon after order for delivery still hot

Great value Chinese takeaway and delivery. The set menus are excellent value for money and good quality. The service is always friendly and helpful. This is a very busy place, which is a good sign, so I recommend ordering ahead, otherwise there can be a wait especially at the weekend. I can't fault anything which I've tried on their menu. Highly recommended.

Was told time and again to try The Dragon Boat so we did... first time a few weeks ago... Amazing. Second time... Amazing again. Very polite staff, reasonable waiting time, great value and the tastes are to die for... especially SP21: Beef with straw mushrooms and red peppers... Yummmmmmm!

Generally good food with reasonable prices _ £28 - £32 for a set menu for 2 people which has plenty of goodies to feed up to 3 hungry adults. Soups are a hit and miss though, try something else.

I have reviewed this restaurant before but it most definitely deserves another 5* rating. Our take away was superb again last night. Best squid you will ever eat! Would recommend the mixed starter box also which is a bargain at £8.50 (much bigger than we thought!) and utterly delicious!

We love the quality of the Welcome Chinese but they don't deliver so thought we would try Dragon Boat. Have to say, excellent all round. Food is delicious, service quick and friendly, and delivered to your door. Love it!

Had a lovely take away. Arrived in quick time (30mins instead of the always predicted 45!) the salt and pepper squid is a top choice. Some times when you order chicken/pork balls they are very doughey but not from here they were crispy and delicious! As usual a fantastic service!

High quality, good value Chinese food is provided here, either to be collected or delivered. Never experienced less than excellent food.

I have only recently discovered this takeaway. And they deliver! Lovely food. Quick service. I pay £2.50 for delivery but I find it is well worth it so we don't have to travel From Huntingdon to St.Ives to get our food. We can relax and wait for it to come to me . Top marks to the chefs and the lady who takes the orders.

Excellent from start to finish. Prompt answer of call. Order taken by friendly lady . Having not ordered from here before wasnt sure payment method, cash on delivery which was only £1 varies on area & order size. Food arrived within 5 mins of requested time pipping hot and delicious. Portion sizes are big unlike the prices which are very reasonable. . will be ordering again very soon .
