Las Iguanas - Lakeside in Thurrock

Went today with my friend,food was good but wasn’t pleased with service as they forgot both of our sides and when they gave it to us it was cold !

Where to start…Online ordering platform is terrible. Constantly crashed, wouldn’t load and is not user friendly. Asks if you want to add a tip to your bill BEFORE you even order and have the chance to experience the soulless “service” you receive. Staff are only there to bring plates to tables as you are forced to use a QR code to order. There is no “service”. No banter. No upsell. No humour. When my coke arrived, it was 90% water as the coke syrup box was clearly needing to be replaced but after a 15 minute wait for a replacement, the issue was the same!! Food was average at BEST. Fajita wraps were stale, onions were overly salty and the fries were undercooked and limp. The cheese portion served was sweating like it has been in the sun all day. None of this is necessarily the staffs fault, bar the drink and prep of the food, as they are forced to work for a business where ever customer facing element has been reduced to a number on a spreadsheet and a cost saving exercise. Never coming back to Las Iguanas, safe to say. Just a terrible business model and insulting food to the country of Mexico.

Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming from the minute we walked in to leaving. Food delicious, however my husband said he could have done with a bit more of the curry.

First time visiting Las Iguanas Lakeside and it was a random lunch stop on my birthday. The food was excellent, the cocktails were awesome and our server Katrina was next level. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to a restaurant where the server was super friendly and went above and beyond and also made my birthday special. Highly recommend and thank you Katrina for being an awesome server!

I always come to Lakeside Las Iguanas with my friends for bottomless brunch before we go out for the evening, and Isabella is a big reason why we keep coming back. She’s always friendly, attentive, and makes sure we have a great time every visit. The food is delicious, the drinks keep flowing, and the atmosphere is perfect for starting our night out right.

Absolutely the worst food, nothing tasted fresh all bland and seemingly microwaved. Service was ok but would never go again just really awful food quality at premium prices

Went here with some friends last night, wouldn’t go back again. We all had the bottomless brunch looking to have lots of drinks within the 90 min time limit. The first drink didn’t arrive until 20mins after ordered (was only 5 of us so not a massive table) food looked nothing like on their website photos. There were only 2 staff on the bar serving the whole restaurant, I don’t know if they had someone call in sick but they had loads of wait staff waiting around not doing anything so I don’t know why they couldn’t help make some drinks. The bar was half full of all the empty glasses from the tables (it seemed like everyone was doing the bottomless brunch last night) The staff kept forgetting drinks or would bring us the next tables drinks, we ended up having a laugh with them about how they must have been switching our drinks on purpose! Toilets were upstairs which is hard to navigate when you’re trying to drink a lot of alcohol in 90 mins! Staff apologised for errors/wait but nothing was taken off the bill or vouchers offered etc. We ended up going to TFG Fridays after here for the dessert and more drinks and the difference in service/food quality was very clear. We won’t be going back to Las Iguanas again!

Our server, Rob & Lucia, was exceptional! They was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience even better with his great recommendations and positive attitude. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and were comfortable throughout the meal.

Incredible tacos and even better service! The flavors were out of this world, fresh, and perfectly balanced. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was Lalita—she’s an absolute gem! Her warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made us feel so welcome. The entire staff was fantastic, but Lalita went above and beyond to make our visit special. went with a group of friends. we didn't book and even though there was 9 of us we were seated quickly. Food was really good, as were the 2 for 1 cocktails, was a little disappointed as the web site was still advertising the bottomless tapas, but was told it isn't on now, it was the reason we went. Have to say our servers Lalita and Robbie were very good, especially having to deal with a large group. Will visit again.

Lalita and Rob were excellent hosts who looked after us extremely well. It was our sons 21st birthday and they brought him out a desert and flare to help celebrate the occasion.

Food is always great when we come here, they have good discounts with kids getting free meals and 2 for 1 on cocktail's.

The service we received tonight was fantastic. Both the waitstaff, male and female, made my son's birthday a really nice evening. My food was delicious, and my son's burger was great as well. However, the Taste of Mexico portion seemed quite small for the price, and the Mexican rice was just plain rice. I also found the drinks to be overpriced. Despite these issues, the overall experience was lovely. The staff was attentive, and the chocolate brownie was amazing.

Food looked good but didn’t go so well, the rice tasted microwaved, dead moth in my cup, Brazilian fried chicken was just an over fried chicken patty the cheese sauce which it boasted was drizzled on to it barely, don’t order a jug of any cocktail as it’s ice chased by whatever cocktail you’re paying £28 for and to top it off I was sick the whole next day with D and V but service was great no problems there just the food is the issue.

Had a lovely time, food was delicious, and the restaurant tidy, We had Robbie as our server who was super friendly and very attentive, even on a busy Saturday lunch, we were seated quickly even with a reservation definitely coming again 🥰

Denied entry into the restaurant just because we don’t look like the typical Friday evening crowd queuing up for a drink. Very disappointing. Couple in front of us was allowed to sit at a table after walking in, after waiting for about 2 mins. We saw vacant tables in every corner but staff (probably manager) come up to us and said they’re fully booked for the evening. Didn’t make any sense. It’s not a club so I don’t know why they’re treating it like one. Never going to any Las Iguanas again. Last place I thought I’ll be treated differently based on appearance.

We came for the all you can eat tapas deal, I believe our server was called Robson? (As on receipt) he was absolutely amazing, very friendly, talked us through his reccomendations on the tapas menu, encouraged us to try something we wouldn't have usually ordered. The food was so good and we didn't have any complaints. He was so nice and friendly and it was the best service I've gotten eating out.

Food terrible, can certainly do better. Do not get the mixed grill (meat is awful) Meat has a very rubbery taste. Cocktails nice, waitress good. Shame the food is terrible

Had a welcome meal here at the weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't like the table we were sitting at, so we asked to be moved. Which they did with no issues. Food was lovely and came out very quick.
