Las Iguanas - Lakeside in Thurrock

Overall, everything was incredible. There were 9 of us in total and we all enjoyed our meals and drinks. Our waitress, Lalita, was very friendly and attentive. Across the table, we tried many different meals and we all enjoyed our food. The only slight criticism was the speed of service at times. We waited an acceptable length of time for our starters to arrive but our main meals came as soon as we had finished eating our starters, we would have liked more of a gap between courses. Contrastingly, after ordering desserts, we waited over 1/2hr for them to arrive. As we had plans following the meal, we had to rush to finish.

I came here for my birthday bottomless brunch, it was a brilliant experience and the service was fab. Alanna served us and we had a great time.

Our 1st visit to the Mexican street food tapas bottomless experience. Nicole, who served us, explained everything, made suggestions, ensured our drinks were flowing (as we had the bottomless drinks too) and followed up with us. Robson was also v.friendly and helpful. We weren't hassled to move off the table when our 1.30mins were up for the bottomless. Such a good experience and have already recommended to friends!

Been here a few times and again we had a wonderful meal. They had a new menu as well and it didn't disappoint. The staff were brilliant, sat us down almost instantly and we didn't have a booking. Food was delicious and served promptly. Our order was accurate too which is great. I ordered a new dish called the 'Bahian Chicken Mash Up' and it was so good! Highly recommend! The only thing I will add but this is very, very, very minor. We always get churros for dessert here when we visit. They have changed their churros for a skinnier version and they are definitely not as good as the old ones. They are still nice, just not as good. Bring back the old ones please 😁

Good food, good cocktails, great service. Due to being a large group servers were very helpful with drinks orders, and served us jugs instead of single drinks so we could try all of the drinks

Bottomless brunch was excellent, service was excellent and the variety of drinks and food was excellent. Drinks were not watered down.

Nikol served us. Was really friendly and helpful helping us figure out a mystery drink! Great atmosphere and definitely will come back!

As always we have a wonderful time. Staff are so nice and very attentive. Nikol everytime makes us all feel so welcome and remembers us from each time we’ve come. Manager Isobella is so friendly and again remembers from our frequent visits plus remembers things we’ve talked about. Food is always tasty and plenty to choose from.

Forgot my favourite cocktail, Nikol managed to get it to my table. Can't thank her enough, brilliant service!

Robbie have great service and was very nice. enjoyed my time very much. the food was very nice and the drinks were too would recommend the coconut sour bomb.

Gave my daughter a very upset stomach, and the rice was very bland and tasted like it was microwaved

A warm welcome from the manager Izabela and table made ready on request upon arrival. The food was fantastic and arrived very quickly. The staff were all friendly, happy and cheerful. The restaurant was clean and had nice music playing with loads of seating and a nice view of the lake from the upper floor. The toilet was clean and well maintained. We were told about deals we could get through the app. A first class experience from start to end. Highly recommended. Thank you and well done. 🙏👍

Not bought anything from Las Iguanas for many years but saw some interesting dishes on the menu, so thought would give this a go. This was a home delivery order. The food was brought to us my a very polite biker. We ordered 1 Squash Caruru costing £14.50 each, as that seemed to be the spiciest item on the menu. We also ordered 2 Veggie Moqueca Costing £14.50 each. This was accompanied by Sweet Potato fries and straight cut fries. All the food came piping hot. The flavour of the Caruru as excellent as was that of the Moqueca. What is shocking however is the miniscule amount of physical food that was sent in the containers. I have attached image to show you an example. The picture is of the Squash Caruru. The food barely covers just the base of the container, 2/3s of the container is empty. The food you sent would have fitted in a container 1/3 the size. The rice with some spring onions was in a tiny container too, although tasty, , definitely too little and not worth £ 14.50 for each of the 3 meals and would have been enough to satisfy a childs appetite. Only. So this element was very disappointing.

Had a wonderful brunch on Sunday 29th 2024. Had an amazing member of staff called Allegra. If you go to lakeside definitely look out for her. She made our experience fun and memorable. Bottomless cocktails were great and kept coming. Food very tasty, 10/10! Would definitely recommend. Isabella is great! Good customer service.

I went to las iguanas with a couple of friends on a night out. We was greeted by a lovely lady named Alanna and Shane was amazing, she came over to check to make sure everything was alright and make sure we had a great time. Best service I’ve had in a long while, thankyou Alanna! 😁

I started with the signature cocktail, the "Tropical Sunset," which was a beautiful blend of rum, fresh pineapple, and a hint of lime. It was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and finished with a refreshing splash of soda. The presentation was stunning, served in a tall glass with a slice of pineapple and a cherry on top.

A truly lovely experience served by Lalita. She was so lovely and the service she provided was awesome. She even wrote me and my friend a little note to say "hope you both enjoyed your ladies night out". So thoughtful in every way 😊

Where do I begin ? Drinks are 90% ice. I took 5 minutes to take out all the ice cubes. The food was bad, i ordered the grill and it was supposed to be chicken and beef marinated steak. I hot chicken and lamb shish. No waiters to talk to either so has to leave most of my food in the plate and leave.

My wife and i went here for dinner before seeing a film. It was our anniversary, so it was nice to get a night out alone. We were greeted by a lovely friendly lady, who assumed was the manager. After sitting down and looking at the menu, we saw that they do a boozy brunch and a Sunday all you can eat/drink deal. As it was a Tuesday we didn't think either would be an option, but thought it would be something nice to do another day, so asked the lady about how it worked. She very kindly said that as it wasn't particularly busy, we could try either option. She explained everything that was included, and we decided to go with the Sunday all you can eat appetisers and all you can drink cocktails option. Then we had 90 mins to totally gorge ourselves 😜 We were then served by a really friendly chap. He kept bringing us food and drinks throughout the meal, and we chatted about recent Florida holidays with him. The whole experience was absolutely brilliant! The food was delicious, the cocktails were tasty, but most of all the service from everyone was top notch! It really made our visit very special and enjoyable. We left absolutely stuffed, and then watched a not so great Alien film. Thanks again for making our night out so great 👍

We had a lovely meal here. Last minute as we didn't have a reservation. The menu has changed since we were last here and was lovely. The staff were great and very helpful. Would definitely go back.
