A hidden gem in Grays!. It's beautiful, the ceiling lights and decor are really pretty. (Better than their online photos!) Such a great atmosphere obviously very popular and the food was out of this world! The sea bass was brilliant, plenty to accompany it on the plate. Staff were perfect, attentive and just switched on and there when you wanted them. Very reasonable prices. Nice for couples, families and large parties

Amazing! Service was effortlessly smooth - quick, friendly and attentive. The food was stunning. I had a mixed shish and was blown away by the tenderest lamb. My wife had king prawns - also spot on. We also had pitta and hummus, olives and, of course, wine. Finished with Turkish tea which was delicious. Really well priced - a proper little gem of a restaurant. We will be back!

Small portions, way overpriced. Rip off drinks costing £17 for two lemonades (kids ones). Cost a small fortune for an average lunch. Outside tables rickety. Left feeling ripped off. Should have gone to burger king.

Had the lunch menu which was reasonably priced, apart from the kids menu which was a little overpriced. Then the bill came and 2 kids lemonades came to £17. Completely ripped off with the price of drinks. Food was merely okay. But over £71 for lunch which included 2 childrens chicken nuggets and chips and 2 adults lunch menu meals (very small portions). Had only 1 drink each (1 coke, 1 beer and 2 lemonades). £71, Really?? Would have returned, but clearly this establishment wants to make up the costs on a reasonably priced menu with £8.50 kids lemonades and a few average chips and nuggets for £8 a plate. So thank you but never again. On the plus side, the waitress is absolutely lovely. An absolute credit to an otherwise overpriced and greedy establishment. Tip: Don't rip off customers and generate some repeat local business.

We have been dining at Izgara Meze regularly for last 6 years. My son absolutely loves their bread and always asks for seconds. Meat and rest of food is always fresh, prepared with love and care. Simply delicious! The restaurant has been redecorated recently and is a great place for an intimate dinner or fun evening meal with work colleagues.

Popped in for a quick lunch whilst waiting for my suit to be altered down the road. Fantastic service, fantastic food. Would recommend the baklava for dessert too! Tried Turkish tea for the first time and it was lovely!

Went last minute for a family iftaar/meal. Ordered the family platter and soup - food was exceptional. Loved everything. Service was very good - warm and welcoming. So glad to have a good local Turkish nearby.

Had a fantastic takeaway from here this evening. Ordered and ready in around 10 mins. Picked it up as don’t live far. Met with smiles and great hospitality. So much food. Superb choice of starters and mains. Everything you would expect and more. Will definitely be back.

We came with our family today for a pre Christmas meal. We shared one of their huge jumbo platters along with sides and other bits. I was especially impressed with the chicken.. it was super fresh and tender and tasted delicious as was the lamb, the lamb chops and ribs were also fabulous. The staff and owners were amazing ..super attentive and made sure we were looked after. Everyone left feeling super satisfied . The place is a such a hit with us have been 6 -7 times in the last few years and have never had any issues with the food or service its always on point

The food here is just so so, it's not great. The kids meals are basic, very basic, not very good. £8.50 for a kids burglar +chips. £3.50 for a orange juice. The prices are definitely Not cheap. The customer service is very good.

Just ate at izgara and was served by a tall slim lady she was absolutely lovely and amazing service . Atmosphere was excellent ! The whole restaurant was super clean and spotless . Even the chef and waiters where so kind hearted welcomed us in and said thank you as we left. I have been coming here for 10 years , number 1 restaurant in grays!

Very poor experience. Visited today 1st nov for my bday with family . There were flies hovering on top of our food/table. I addressed to the waitress. She was extremely rude, no manners or customer service at all. I asked for manager , she stated she is, and then said she's not it's a man and he's gone out will be back in 10mins. I waited, a man returned she spoke in Turkish, and I then highlighted the concerns. He again just said sorry and that's all. It was my birthday meal, we went with kids after school. The place is dirty, service is rude and food not good quality. We ordered prawn with avocado, it literally was prawn you get out packet and avocado cut up. No taste or flavour. Food mediocre. You can get better food from Mangal down road. .or go North London for a variety of better quality and food! Also price better! By the way, the waitress was tall slim built and very rude. Avoid at all costs! There was only one customer , explains everything!

Food was burnt when I specifically said don’t over cook, everything was so dry even the bread was burnt, this place has gone downhill it use to be good, we won’t eat in or take out from here ever again! There’s other Turkish restaurants that are better now, so disappointed wasn’t even busy in there not a customer in the restaurant when picking up our order so there’s no excuse.

I went there for lunch and had their lunch deal. The salmon was really good. You can see that it was fresh as not the usual salmon fillet that you got from the supermarket. There were plenty of seating and it was nice to have the air conditioning during the hot day. I will go back again next time I am in the area.

This place was amazing. We just arrived in the UK and i'm happy this was one of the first places we came to eat. I recommend the chefs special and any of their cocktails were good. The staff was awesome. I believe our waitress name was Martina. She was excellent!

Had a really nice meal here tonight as i was in the area on business. Food came Promptly and was delicious. Excellent service from the lovely waitress who was polite and attentive. Meal was very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Definitely be back soon.

Fish was cooked very nicely, but was probably the most boniest fish I have had. Very tasty, but felt I could die if I wasn't careful! Not the chefs fault, just one of those things.

I ordered a few things from this restaurant and the only thing I don’t have bad words for is the bread and hummus. In what world should calamari be served to you soggy with a pool of liquid inside? The calamari was absolutely cold and inedible. The lamb ribs were awful - bland and cold. The salad had half of 1 cherry tomato in each one and full of liquid. I spent over £30 and could not eat anything. Complete waste of money and I will never eat from here again.

We often have take away from here but do eat in every couple of months or so. Food is always very good, the manager and his staff all really friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

Visited Izgara restaurant on the Saturday 4th Feb for dinner with my girlfriend Mihaela & her cousin which we booked online. Firstly my girlfriend was greeted by her name at the door which I thought was lovely. The waiter (young guy) showed us to our table and bought us over a selection of sauces and fresh warm bread. The waitress came over and took out orders and the food arrived promptly. The bread, humous and mostly importantly the lamb was well cooked and full of flavour. My girlfriend is a very fussy eater and this was the first time in ages that she was happy with her meal. What a result! Another lovely touch was they didn't automatically apply a tip to our bill which I thought was lovely. I of course left a tip which in my honest opinion was greatly deserved. An all round great experience 5 stars from us. We will certainly be visiting this little hidden gem again.

Seems the complementary bread is no longer being sent. The more we order, the less we get. Especially this time since we got a discount from JustEat, they just eliminated the bread altogether. Not pleased

This venue is perfect for a great get together. I had my 50th birthday with 40 guests. They were brilliant so Happy for my friends to decorate Everyone enjoyed the evening.
