Mo' Pho: Far East Street Food in Cambridge

First time visiting Pho and had such an amazing experience special thanks to Eve! Eve's suggestions for every dish recommended was a 10/10, from starters to pudding 🍮. Eve's customer service skills more than 10/10 and so professional with it. Great vibes, great food , great staff, great atmosphere. Will be definitely visiting Pho again and again 😋. Thank you.

The service was excellent, the young waiter helped us in sharing some appetisers. There is a good selection of stuff to add in your Pho. The Pho at the end is a good, simple a Pho.

Dining Club Meal Friday 10 January 2025 It was our turn ( my sister and myself) to play host to the father and daughter, fortunately we arrived at the venue just before our guests, and when we all arrived we were shown to our table, and when we were seated, we ordered our drinks, Saigon lagers and a bottle of Diet Coke for my sister and the daughter, a glass of Peacock Sauvignon Blanc for the father, and a glass of Coconut Water for myself, which we all enjoyed. For our Starters, we had three plates of tender baby squid in a light tempura batter with a salt, pepper and lime dip, and the father had Crispy Pork Spring Rolls, and two plates of Prawn Crackers. For our Mains, the father had beef brisket Vietnamese noodle soup, and the daughter, and myself had a Classic King Prawn Curry, a rich fragrant Vietnamese dish with vegetables and mushrooms, and my sister had a Crispy Beef in Betel Leaf with Radish, cucumber, and pickles, finished with peanuts and herbs. For Dessert the daughter did not have any, the father had vanilla ice-cream in a chocolate wafer shell, and my sister and myself had two scoops of vanilla ice-cream, on its own. Overall the meal was very good, the service was good as well, and if you like Vietnamese food, you will like this venue. Recommended.

The food is pretty good. The system of having to wait by the door for a server to come and seat you if very bad. There is not enough room to wait. It is very cramped and there was not enough room for the delivery guys to get past. Why do you make the restaurant so cramped near the door? Just take away one of the tables there to give your customers a decent amount of respect when they arrive. Also the system of adding a 15 percent tip on the bill which can only be reduced if you bring the waiter back by to the table is pretty cheeky. RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM PHO: I think the problem with the layout of the restaurant in Cambridge is that there is a very narrow doorway and only room for 4 people (pushed close together) to wait right in front of the door. If you try to advance into the restaurant to leave more space around the door then serving staff will tell you to go back and wait by the door. Four of us were waiting there in our family and a delivery driver started pushing the door into my 9 year old son in order to get in, but there was literally no room for my son to get out the way. Perhaps you could have a separate entrance for your delivery drivers? Alternatively take away a table by the door to leave some space for at least one family to wait, and then put a notice for the doorway to be kept clear. That way one set of customers could wait to get the attention of the servers and the others wait outside. With regards to the service charge, the problem with Pho is that the server brings the machine and leaves it with you to pay. You then try to choose a tip but realise you have no option to change the pre-added tip without calling back a waiter from whatever they are doing in order to change it. So you are faced with either paying the service charge Pho have imposed, or adding extra work for your server. Why not just allow me to make a change of the tip on the machine without calling back the waiter?

The food is excellent, and the service is great, but I find the billing system a bit inconvenient. The 'optional' tip is locked in, and you have to ask the waiter to remove it. On a day when I felt introverted, I didn’t bother questioning it. No complaints about the food or service, though

A truly peaceful, clean place with respectful and professional staff. I ordered the Pho, and it was absolutely delicious, as was the tea. I would like to give special feedback to the waiter, Raphael, who was incredibly patient, kind, polite, and impeccable in his behavior. It was my second time at this restaurant, and I wasn’t sure what to order. I asked for recommendations, and he, with great professionalism, showed kindness and patience, qualities that I deeply appreciate in someone doing this job. The only thing is that they should allow tips to be added to the payment by card.

Visited after hearing great feedback from friends. Exceeded my expectations. Had the tofu curry and it was great. Portions will not leave you hungry. Good children’s meal, too, with tasty blood orange sorbet.

Pho is a great restaurant, my experience has been great both for customer service and quality of food. I faved an issue with a maggot crawling in the vegetables, but this has been rectified straightaway. Which I appreciate, i think it will be beneficial to have some quality check prior to sending out food. But make no mistake, this is a great restaurant with healthy dishes.

On a cold, rainy Cambridge day, Pho was the perfect choice. The cozy atmosphere provided a warm escape from the weather, and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the beef with garlic pho, and the fragrant, flavorful broth, paired with fresh herbs and tender beef, felt like a much-needed hug in a bowl. Even though the restaurant was bustling, the wait time to get seated was very reasonable—no more than 10–15 minutes. The staff were attentive and efficient, ensuring everything ran smoothly. They checked in just the right amount without being intrusive, which added to the relaxed dining experience. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food and portion sizes—not the cheapest option, but definitely worth it for a hearty and satisfying meal. One standout feature was their innovative payment system. They provided a phone pre-loaded with an app to split the bill, which calculated the exact amount per person if you wanted to share the cost. It was incredibly convenient and felt like a modern touch that made the whole process hassle-free. Whether it’s for the delicious food, the thoughtful service, or just a place to warm up on a rainy day, Pho Cambridge is a spot I’ll definitely return to.

Starters were amazing! Fresh and delicious dips! Atmosphere was brilliant too. Mains were not as appealing and lacked some crunch in my opinion, some of the mains were a little missleading like the wok fried noodles didnt appear to be crunchy as expected. Overall was pleasant but could be better!

I had beef combo noodles with extra topping of mushrooms and pak-choi. Excellent flavor and helping is generous! Suggestion: since I ordered the extra toppings and they were put on the dish rather than cooked together, so they are a little bit cold, the soup is also … not cold but not the hot soup it should be like because of the cold toppings put in. It’s nice to have HOT dish just ready! Excellent service and atmosphere.

Been to this place several times now. Great but not the most delicious Pho I’ve had. Very friendly service always, though! Our servers are generally very kind and attentive. Their pho portions are generous (lots of noodles and protein!), and the broth is hearty and aromatic. Can definitely get a bit busy during meal times as it’s a solid food choice in city center. The only bit of a downside was the Vietnamese coffe we ordered. It was delicious, but the measly portion seemed a bit much for £4!

Not really authentic. Somehow they let people wait for a long time even though there are several tables available all the time. Never order the homemade lemonade, it’s powder made lemonade. Every time it will take a long time to pay. The location is p good tho

We came for dinner and had the most delicious food. All 7 of us were extremely happy with the food, the setting and especially the staff. The Two staff that served us was so nice. only one of their names i remember, his name was Dante (sorrry if i spelt it wrong), he was so lovely, energetic, kind and amazed us with how he kept everyones order in his mind, no need of writing it down:) We will definitely return!

I didn't enjoy the food as much as I thought I would have. I love Thai food but not from here. The summer roles were ok. Quite disappointed though. The quality wasn't there for me. Didn't taste like authentic Thai food to me. Unfortunately I won't be back.
