Intimate setting, incredibly helpful and friendly staff who are willing to cater to exactly what you need. Generous portions and delicious food. Able to cater to a plant based diet which is greatly appreciated!

Stayed for a couple of nights in a very clean & spacious dog friendly room. Met friends for Sunday lunch, & enjoyed one of the best 3-course meals ever. Roast beef was spot on, as was the very boozy tiramisu afterwards. Breakfast both mornings was also very good, with very fresh orange juice, omelettes & full English. All the staff were very friendly, & made such a fuss of our border collie. A lovely short break & highly recommended.

Somethings happened. The chips are probably one of the worst I've had in a while. Got a portion and couldn't even eat half of them. Used to be one of the best places to get sausage and chips. Services isn't the same.

Had dinner two nights running. The food was lovely and a good range of choices. Staff and service was excellent, never had to wait for any of the food and it was delicious. Definitely recommend.

the staff should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the cafe and tables

We arrived at just gone midday and there was already a queue forming on the street! Because it was just the two of us, we got seated straight away - although it was at the stools directly in front of the window which meant the people in the queue outside were all staring hungrily at us while we ate, and we did feel a bit like animals in a zoo. My partner ordered the porchetta ciabatta and a poutine side, while I had the honey soy chicken bowl. Everything tasted fab and came in decent portions, and the servers were friendly and efficient. We had a nice lunch and I would happily eat here again, though I probably wouldn’t be prepared to queue up for it…

Amazing joint, that serves hot and tasty chicken however you want it. Food is always top notch and the staff are very friendly. Sometimes busy, but that's to be expected when it tastes this nice!
