Lovely hot tasty food. Delivered on time. very happy with Deshi Spice.

It was cold & they didnt deliver one item

Quite a lot salt used Nan bread doughy barely cooked. Lamb was ok just a bit tough. I was ok

Very poor curry , chicken tikka over cooked and hard, curry it’s self was ok but rice was over cooked and mushy , naans were stodgy, Won’t be ordering again.

Food was beautifully spiced/flavoured. Subtle and balanced.

Food is amazing from here staff very nice won’t be going anywhere else 😊

A week ago I gave 5 stars for exactly the same meal. Sadly I cannot do the same this week. There was very little chicken in the biryani & it didn’t taste as good. Also very few vegetables in the vegetable curry. I am usually given raita which I like but this week was given onions which I don’t like. Hopefully next time will be back to last week’s standard.

Waiters are very helpful, and have worked there a long time. I always get a hot plate, which is a good start. The temperature of the food is usually hot, although can be just warm if you are in a big group, but that applies to most restairants. The flavour of the food is amazing.

Everything was so perfect the surroundings,the food,the employees has its own unique flavour which thrives so wonderfully in your mouth. The waitresses were so nice and respectful they welcome you with such a warm welcoming

Ahad is amazing. I love him so much. Food is good. He is better.

Came here for the Woburn Safari and stayed locally. At first i thought it was an average restaurant. However after tasting what i ordered hats off to the chef absolutely amazinng food he got the spice spot on. Staff are very friendly especially Abdul Ahad the front waiter. If you ever are in bedford this place is a must try.

Delivery was rapid, but food was swimming in a bath of water. Forgot a naan, and forgot a pilau rice. Usually love it here, but they had a stinker this week 👎🏻

Visited here for the first time last night and was sadly left really disappointed. Service was almost nonexistent during the visit with the chicken being very dry. The highlight of this visit was probably the bread and poppadoms. All round a really poor experience and would not recommend.

the food tasted delicious, i had the masala (main) and chicken on a skewer (starter). this happened on a thursday evening. from friday morning it all went downhill and i became incredible ill for over a week and a half with h pylori which gave me gastritis (search it up, it’s not delightful). can’t ever go back there and wouldn’t wish that on anyone. when i look back the chicken had a bit of pink in it but because it was covered in sauce i didn’t think anything of it. don’t get me wrong it tasted great but the ends did not justify the means. i’ve never had food poisoning before, and i never want to again which is why i won’t be going back to this restaurant😂

All the food was very tasty, especially the Chicken Dansak. I only found the butter chicken a bit tasteless and very mild. The flavour was probably missing something? So I combined it with the dansak to give it some flavour.

An unusual, but significant, lateness from this restaurant and as a result I am requesting a refund.

I booked a Valentine’s Day lunch slot via the website and received a confirm email the following day. We turn up and it’s closed. No explanation or apology. Nearby restaurants were predictable busy. I don’t think they can be trusted for special events based on this experience.

Ordered directly via their website and received a confirmation email. When I rang them 30 mins after delivery was due they told me they hadn't had any orders. I told them it would be worth checking their website as it must not be working. They repeated again that they hadn't had any orders, nothing was offered to solve my issue, and then they hung up on me.

Can’t fault the place, food is decent and so is the service. Would return however it wouldn’t be my first option.

Food was great but delivery was 30mins late. And we ordered for a specific delivery time with 1hour and 30 mins notice.

All of the food was freezing cold, except for the salad, which felt warm. My wife tried to resolve the issue with the restaurant, but they hung up on her! If the issue could have been addressed amicably, we might have considered trying again, as we've had good experiences at the restaurant before. However, the abysmal customer service now completely puts us off from both takeaways and dining at the restaurant.

it's not helpful to put a really late time (even later than it said before I ordered) and then bring the food loads sooner.

Food great, also nice to eat in….. but always amazes me when you don’t get popadoms when you spend a decent amount….. seriously they probably cost you pence to make but adds so much value to customers. Especially when your competitors do it.

Venue: well presented and clean Starters: special mixed grill, absolutely tasteless, full red colouring, no spice, overcooked tough lamb, very disappointing Main: Chilli and Garlic chicken, again, tasteless, no chilli or garlic in the sauce, green chillies laid on top! Saag Prawns, 4 prawns served in a stringy spinach, again, lacked spice, ginger and garlic. Naan, freshly made and probably the nicest thing we ordered! Being Indian, we asked our food to be authentic. I’m totally baffled how anyone can rate the food higher than a 1, we were watching dishes being served, I’m sorry but no Indian dish is red. It seemed like something out of a jar is being used! PLEASE do something about your food, it’s letting you down, I’m not at all surprised we were the only Indian customers you had.

Christmas lunch at Deshi for the 4th year running. Great welcome, superb food and service. We often visit during the year and have take-aways too. My fave place to eat. The staff are fantadtic and attentive but you never feel presured. Thank you Deshi, happy new year

Ordered 4 peshwari naan and only 1 arrived. Gave them a quick call and they straight away rectified it no ifs or buts. Top service. Its the reason I only order from a very few places now. This place is top of the list.

We went here yesterday with our family and friends and we felt as if they were not happy to serve asian customers. Food we ordered was nice except paneer tikka as it tasted coconut gravy which is unusal taste for paneer tikka in a indian based restaurant. We asked them for high chair for my child they said its booked and cannot provide us thus my child had to eat on his buggy and their booking did not arrive till we left the place. My question is why the award winning restaurant do not have extra high chair for toddlers?? Is the child supposed to eat in buggy even if its not in use?? While we eating it seemed like they are rushing to remove our plates so that we leave early. Anyway when we were leaving I thanked and said bye but one of the member did not respond and I felt really weird because I guess this is not a customer service.

The service and food here is always outstanding. Great atmosphere and so reasonably priced. We had a lovely waiter, Hussain, who was so attentive and even offered us a complimentary drink at the end of the night. The best Indian food in town!

Steaming hot, generous portions, very tasty!

Extremely dissatisfied with quality of food this evening, all dishes saturated in sauce of which the consistency was very watery.

The butter chicken was too light in colour and lacked flavour. The other curries were also tasteless . Ive tried this place twice now and it’s the same story.

the worst food I ever had , it caused me food poising I. the name of chapati they send half cooked ready made chapati,chicken tikka was just chicken pieces marinated in some masala and fried very untasty .and the daal was nothing but half cooked daal which was not cooked enough to be edible so they granted it and send ...how people could this irresponsible when they food to people ,I hight recommend this restaurant to serve healthy authentic food at least fully cooked. very disappointed

Fantastic evening at Deshi. Only ever ordered takeaway, but sitting in was next level! Wednesday banquet for 15£ per person is a bargain so much food and all. All fresh and hot…and tasty! Service was top quality all the guys were chatty and attentive. Ahad was brilliant chatting with us at the end. Even with a massive table in they still looked after us well. Will 100% be back soon!

Had the butter chicken and the chicken tika massala , both dishes were extremely bland . Very disappointed seen as they have an award , I have had alot better from other places in bedford . I am disappointed with that because it's not a cheap meal

I tried a chicken Bhuna for the first time and it was really nice! I wasn’t so keen on the Tikka masala as the sauce was really sweet, still nice but not as much to my tastes. My fiance enjoyed his curry too :)
