Friendly, professional service and most delicious, fresh food. Felt like straight out of India. Highly recommended!

We have been coming here for years with our friend Chris.. we came tonight for our annual festive meal and really enjoyed our evening ... food was lovely as was the atmosphere and the friendly and quick service from the staff ... see you again soon !!

Every few weeks I have reason to travel to Bedford to visit family. Last night (5th December) a friend and I had another delightful and delicious experience at INDIYA. A busy time of the year and we hadn’t made a reservation however we were given a warm welcome and soon shown to our table. Cobra on draught (always a good sign) and Popadoms were served straight away whilst we browsed through the extensive menu. We’d finished the Popadoms and realised no one had taken our order, it was quickly put right though by Lalu and we appreciated he took the time to help us with our choices. We settled on sharing two of INDIYA’s signature dishes, the Nomadic Lamb Curry and Green Coriander Duck Curry. Both medium hot, delicious thick sauce. We shared a side dish of Tarka Dal, pilau rice and a peshwari naan. I learnt from Lalu that a peshwari naan has to be coated with a little honey, they were really so very tasty. Overall this was a nicely balanced meal, full of flavour, the lamb fell off the bone, the duck complimented it nicely and the Tarka Dal was one of the best I’ve tasted. A strong garlic flavour lingering on the palate. Perfect to mop up the last of the pilau rice. Yum. We’ve been to INDIYA a number of times in the last couple of years, I think it’s fair to say it’s our restaurant of choice whenever we visit Bedford. Do make a visit soon. ROYAL GULAB JAMUN. The best in town. Plenty of others on the menu to try. Food was amazing and the Australian Cabernet was excellent with our plates.

We had a team Christmas meal here for Janssens Pharmacy, what an amazing atmosphere, staff are really polite, very helpful and must admit the atmosphere and amazing decor are to die for. Can't leave without mentioning just how amazing the food was as well. Well done to all the amazing staff and thank you so much for making it an unforgettable night. Will definitely recommend this place to all I know.

This is our regular go to for a top quality meal and once again Lalu and the team didn’t disappoint You walk in to a lovely warm greeting , the restaurant is immaculate, has a really nice buzz to it , all the waiters are dressed impeccably and are constantly busy and on it The food as usual is second to none I’ve tried plenty of Indian restaurants over the years but this is the best

We have dined here in the past, and I am glad to say that it is still excellent. The restaurant was full at the time (Friday night at peak time), but we were still given good service, and the food and drinks came quickly. We were a large group, and each had a different menu choice, and everyone was very happy with the quality and taste of their dish. The price was also good value, so all in all, I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant !

Came for a surprise 50th. The staff went above and beyond for our evening of festivities. Had a wonderful time and the food was gorgeous. Very fresh, great selection, and piping hot. Exactly what you want! Will be back!!

Probably one of the best Indian meals you can have in the area I would say and I’ve been to a few, the Service here Is just 2nd to none, atmosphere lovely, staff are charming. It’s my go to Indian restaurant now also I would say very reasonably priced also for the quality of the food highly recommended.!

Great snacks and the Mojito is awesome. I love to take that Mojito again. Their staff was so humble. Strongly recommended this place.

Been coming here for last few years after trying other reputable Indian restaurants around Bedford but always keep coming back to this one, we only try other restaurants because we feel we should but this in my opinion is the best out of all the ones I’ve been to, always had very tasty food, good service and a nice atmosphere when we’ve been.

Always come here for a birthday or special occasion. Never had a bad meal. Staff are welcoming and always friendly. We travel about 10 miles to get here as we know its always good.

We visited this place 2days ago. Its a very good environment for group celebration🎉🎉. Their staff's are so humble and attentive. We will be back soon this place.

The starters King prawn Purée, Onion Bhajee and Salmon Tikka all hit spot. The flavours in the vindaloo packed a punch in a good way and the beer was good. Our Server Robbie looked after us as did the rest of team. Lalu has given the menu a makeover and reduced the size which in my opinion is a good thing. It looks a lot fresher. The wine list has changed as well, with some nice new additions. Personally I think Indiya has the best location in Bedford and I look forward to my next visit. Highly recommended. Ps if you like boiled eggs ask for one in your curry. Amazing ! Thank you 🙏 This place never fails to let you down. Lalu and his team know how to do there job and they go above and beyond. The food tonight was as delicious as always, as was the wine. Service could not be faulted. One of the highlights was the salmon and the egg bhuna !! Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Bedford. The food is always amazing, worth every penny and more.

Would not recommend this restaurant, service was painfully slow, we arrived for our table which was booked at 715, didn’t get seated for 20 minutes, then we waited half an hour for them to even take a drinks order and we didn’t get our food for well over 2 hours. The food when it came it was average at best, lukewarm sauce with overcooked chicken. Understand it’s peak time on a Saturday, so service can be slower but this was ridiculous. There are much better Indians in Bedford than this

Haven’t been here is a while. But a really lovely meal as always. The staff are so kind and welcoming, service is quick. Lalu was an excellent member of staff who was lovely to chat to and makes me want to come back even sooner. Food was delicious as always, so much flavour!! Thank you everyone

Lovely food, the staff are really kind and friendly. I went in to ask for some mint yogurt sauce and red onion chutney for a a meal with friends I was cooking and they wouldn't accept payment which shows how kind they are. That small gesture has gained a loyal customer:)
