Three Rooms in Bedford

Always drive past this place and finally got to check it out. It was a very confusing experience. Having white tables, doesn’t automatically make a place opulent. Food standard didn’t match the surrounding. Paneer tikka was actually really nice, small but still good. Confused to why a place like that needed such a bright fake green chutney tho. Curries were odd to say the least. I always get sad when restaurants think they can serve whatever and their customers don’t know any better. Had about 5 pieces of lamb in the naga. It was full of heat but lacked flavour and complexity. Butter chicken was more like a korma.. which still tasted good but wasn’t anything like a butter chicken. Naans were nice.

It was the first time I visited and it was lovely. Hot & very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the staff were attentive. I'll be returning 😊

We went to try the award winning restaurant for the first time, was very impressed with the food and service and lovely setting.

A weird layout with multiple rooms. If you are lucky you get the main room. If you’re us, you get one of the back rooms with zero atmosphere and then you’re largely ignored by the waiting staff. The food was poor. The thing about an Indian menu is, in the main we all know what to expect. When it’s poorly done it stands out a mile: onion bhajis were under seasoned; curry sauces weren’t properly cooked out and tasted of flour; naans weren’t glossy; meat is cut into ever small pieces. You know you can do better

Great service and atmosphere. good food too and will cater to requests for how you like your food.

Red onion dip tasted off, popadoms we burnt, lamb curry had no flavour. Was disappointed as normally excellent food.

This is a great restaurant. This was our first visit here and we loved the experience. The setting was lovely, food was great and the staff were very welcoming and professional. The decoration is very impressive and classy. 100% worth a visit. Definitely recommend this place.

Really tasty starters and mains - very decent curry. Particularly enjoyed the naan breads Service was good but the food took a little time to come out. But that said when it arrived the food was delicious. Been before and I’m sure we’ll be back at some point.

We had a lovely meal on a Friday night. Staff were loving and accommodating to ensure we were enjoying our meal. The food was very flavourful and very reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, would definitely recommend.

Beautifully setup lovely restaurant, we sat in the garden we thoroughly enjoyed from food to service by smiley and polite staffs. We will definitely be back for more.

Food was great, service was excellent. Very nice setting for a meal to catch up with mates. Drinks choice was very good and all reasonably priced.

We use 3 rooms all the time but unfortunately yesterday, it was very poor. The curry was watery, the chicken was chewy and the mint sauce actually had a lumpy skin across the top. I submitted a complaint with photographic evidence, but they refused to refund the inedible items. Really disappointed as this was our go to Indian takeaway.

As usual amazing food. The chicken morica was spicy but not overpowering, exactly what I want from a curry. Vegetable naan was like no other naan I'd had either, overall the best curry in Bedford.

biryani nice but a little lacking in flavour (medium veg curry was mild). Raita excellent, mushroom bhaji had a lot of liquid. Overall not as good as I've had when in the restaurant,but still better than other places I've had deliveries from

I’ve had a meal in the three rooms before and it’s been delicious, however, I had a takeaway on Sunday night and was very disappointed. The food was watery and flavourless, and the chicken tikka masala had only 5 bits of chicken in. Such a shame as the place seems lovely, was just the food which was below average.

Great dining experience. The restaurant is very stylish and the tables looked lovely with crisp clean linen table cloths and napkins, sparkling glasses and good cutlery with a red rose centrepiece. The food was delicious and nicely presented. I had chicken shashlik which was cooked perfectly and a tasty tarka dhal. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend a visit.

Food was delivered 2 hours after ordering and very cold. Not up to their usual standards. Very disappointing.

Will not be coming back here. This was our first time trying 3 Rooms restaurant. I never complain about food or take the time out to leave a negative review. Unfortunately the restaurants food was absolutely bland and disappointing. It was not enjoyable at all. It seems to be catered to the English palettes, so we asked for the food to be spicier beforehand when the waiter took our order. This was not met, after politely complaining to see if anything can be done, the waiter had brought out a bowl of raw green chillis and chilli sauce, in hope that this would make the food better! You can really tell when a dish has been cooked with love and care and this chef just seemed careless, which lowers the standard of what this restaurant could be. Experience would have been much better if steps were taken to acknowledge and remedy our complaint. Unfortunately this was not the case. No apology for the food or service. A “replacement” dish for the “lamb karahi” came out, however this was the same dish cooked again with some chillis thrown in. The food, barely touched, was packed and brought to the table with the bill, like they just wanted us to get up and leave. Really disappointed as we left hungry and went to a take away down the road… I’ve never had an experience like this at a restaurant.

Truly the best Indian I’ve had! The food, staff, and atmosphere - everything was perfect. Food was 10/10 (as always). Particularly enjoyed the Three Rooms King Prawn, and the Lamb Desi Naga. Asked for extra spice and wow, unreal! Staff were super friendly and ensured we were happy with their service. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the history of Indian restaurants displayed on the walls really topped it off for me! Who doesn’t love a bit of history!? My go to when in Bedford! Highly recommend.

Gorgeous absolutely fab bday dins celebrated for a friend. We all loved our meals & everything about the evening was enhanced by the staff & service. Very highly recommended

Really disappointing take away which is unusual as reviews online and recommendations from friends would suggest otherwise. Onion Bhajis although really nice were luke warm at best. The Paneer Tikka was really enjoyable . The Moghul Special was very bland and overly fishy, which in hindsight should have been expected as the dish contains prawns but this overpowered the rest of the flavours. The Chicken Nariyal Malai was literally the worst curry I have tasted. Watery, coconut, spice with large chunks of dry chicken, wasn't good enough to dip the only edible naan into the sauce. 2 naans, one great, the peshwari naan was undercooked and doughy. Unfortunately more than half of this is now in the bin, no left overs for tomorrow. Writing this review as not from the area, there isn't a massive choice of Indian restaurants at home so was super excited to try this place whilst visiting family. Massive letdown currently would not recommend.

Lovely food would highly recommend. I had a mix grill for starters was full of flavour. Mains we had a king prawn curry, mixed vegetable & daal, also paneer. The papadoms and mint sauce was a great combo

came early which in the scheme of things isnt a bad thing. l woul suggest if your going to be early let customers know. The food was bland. l had a Lamb pathia which was a beige colour. There was too much sauce and not enough meat. The lamb that was in it was dry. My wife had a Lamb Balti which was just Lamb and sauce. No peppers or veg in the meal. Both meals didnt have alot if any flavour. 50% of both meals went in the bin.Very expensive mistake to make, but it wont happen again.

What have you done to your poppadoms? The last two takeaways they have tasted of old oil. Other than this, I would recommend this restaurant, hopefully they will get this sorted.

They actually got the order wrong but, when I called them their service recovery was outstanding. Correct dish dispatched promptly and totally worth waiting for. First time I’ve used Three Rooms and will now be my go-to Indian. The food was superb.

Really enjoyed my time at Three rooms with the family.

Have been a few times over the last 3 years. Initially it was good but not exceptional. Last 2 visits,both in the last month saw a step change. From before. Now humming with a good vibe and excellent food.

Food was mildly warm on arrival so needed to be reheated, the madras curry only had 4 pieces of chicken in it

Food was nice, nice selection and some interesting dishes. Atmosphere was ok although very quiet. Service ok although not particularly friendly. My criticism was a £8 for a coffee. We thought there had been a error on the bill. I'd ordered a double espresso and they charged me double the price of an espresso which I thought was fairly unreasonable anyway! When I questioned they were insistent of charge! Ridiculous! Won't be going again!

Went here for a birthday for a friend, lovely staff and great atmosphere. Had an incredible meal and the staff were spot on. They even went out of their way to help my friend who is on crutches with a more suitable seat to enjoy his meal. Would thoroughly recommend

Food was early and hot when arrived, best bhuna iv had for a long time. Will definitely be re-ordering.

The lamb in rogan Josh was tough and over powered with onion flavour. Chicken in the masala was also a little tough and not as full of flavour as I would expect compared to other local curry houses. Overall I will not be ordering from here again

Was a little early picking up. They were very busy. Great to see. Was just about to read a magazine on a comfy sofa when they came out with my order. Amazing. Beautifully cooked. Wonderful flavours. Picked my favourites as a benchmark. Easy parking in St Peter’s car park just across the road so in and out making it a frictionless Friday feast! 👌☺️

Short wait for a pre booked table. Place was full and noisy. Walk ins being turned away. Food was excellent, prices were higher than their own website so that needs an update. Service charge added as we were 6 or more????

Went for our wedding anniversary. Booking lost.found table but then neglected all evening. Took 20 minutes just to order drinks & longer for food. Had starter then after 30 morning minutes had to chase up where main was. Ruined what should have been a special evening out.
