Pepe's in Colchester

Very spicy. Food was alright though. Okay for a free sample. Had mild chicken and rice. I finished all of it.

The quality is soooo good, the staff were so kind and friendly, deffo recommend

Great food, delivery time was good too. Only downside was the lack of updates with the order, as I wasn’t aware when the driver was outside as my order wasn’t saying it was being prepared let alone being delivered. Happy overall though! (:

Order was supposed to be delivered between 18:20-18:40 but got delivered at 19:10. All the food was cold. The fries were undercooked

never had a issue before but on this occasion the chicken was dry and tasteless with burnt bits

Ordered for delivery on APP at 17:03 today , no confirmation email from shop , nobody answered phone , voicemail full . Called head office number only open 9-5 Monday to Friday . Food arrived 30 minutes late , chicken burgers were awful buns very hard , obviously microwaved too long . Chips were cold .

Very nice people but food was 2 hours late. Completely cold. Delivery driver called to say he was outside went outside wasn’t there turned up 15mins later. Again very nice people I’m sure the food would be nice if it wasn’t spoiled by the long journey.

Food always tastes great, is hot, portion sizes are good and arrived really quickly tonight!

the driver had no clue of where he was and i was on phone with him for about 6 minutes trying to locate him but was unsuccessful. I had to then call the restaurant and complain about this .

The food has gone bad. It had a putrid smell and a foul taste.

Twice now I’ve requested them to cut the chicken pieces into 2 but both times been ignored. The chicken has been burnt too which is also what I told them not to give. They fulfil your order but on their terms only. We spend a lot of money, not cheap.

I’m very disappointed today I have seen burned coal in my quesadilla and thank god I haven’t eaten that bite and there are no jalapeños in my both quesadillas which I loved to eat and because of this I always order this hot n spicy quesadilla. I went instore I was looking terrible as I was working from morning and I have cold n fever when I told them I’m here for collection girl of front of the house ask my name so rudely i understand they work under pressure but I also work in food chain n it made me feel little uncomfortable if there’s was someone good looking she might not have asked them rudely

we ordered our food at around 8.20pm and it didn't come until 10.45pm. when i had called them after nearly an hour we weren't told that there was ongoing problem with their grill, instead they said the order had left even when it hadn't! if we had been told that there was an issue we would have cancelled the order. my young children had to wait a very long time to eat! when the food had finally arrived it was cold and not tasty at all!! I am not happy and would like a full refund

Normaly amazing, this time they where swamped. The food was over cooked and the delivery was late. I get that, busy days, late deliveries but I would expect the quality to remain the same.

Absolutely delicious, I had the chick’n’rice box with peri chips and wings and a drink (an offer they’re currently doing) and everything was perfect, the portion size is also great that I managed to have leftover plate - which I’ve now eaten 😂 will definitely be ordering again x

I’ve ordered through the app, and the missed three sauces that i paid for, peri peri fries hardly any on the fries ( which u pay extra for) The rice seems to be reheated and not fresh at all. Disappointed 19 pounds for a very bad meal.

I love taste nice and few times lots there order foods.

Food was great so have to give you guys a five star, but when I state I’m paying cash, the bill was £35 and all I have is two twenty pound notes the driver says he doesn’t have any change, not really ok considering you knew I was paying cash, driver left with £40 as we were at a situation where he had not change and I wanted my food, would like some money off of my next order if possible. Food was lovely though !

The food is tasty, I can’t deny that, especially the chippies with the peri-peri salt on them. Is it worth writing home about? Not quite. Feel like some of the dishes are quite pricey.

Nice but too pricey for the portion size for the amount paid . Clean environment and ok service . Good food presentation with allergy stickers . They also give discounts to students and NHS staff.

Pepe's is one of our favorite peri peri chicken stops, We tried many London restaurants We were so glad they opened closer to us in Colchester.we ordered the biggest chicken dish mango and lime/extreme hot,rice and chips and naan , chicken was fresh but compare to London Pepe's it's less sausy and less flavor and extream hot wasn't very extreme hot and mango lime was less flavor,chips and rice was fresh and delicious but naan bread wasn't fresh but hard we have to pay for garlic mayo extra, We ordered a large bottle of drink which we have to ask again to serve while we waiting for our food to serve about 30 min which is fair time in a busy time Customer service was an excellent pleasant kind manner she even take a notice about our complain less sausy and extream hot and fixed the issue with our second order We will definitely visit again
