Nice place but located in the city centre of Colchester. The have variety for the curry chicken is the one I usually go for. It also some meters away from the car park

I love taste nice and few times lots there order foods.

Food was absolutely shocking was not cooked properly could only take one bite had to throw it away

The food is tasty, I can’t deny that, especially the chippies with the peri-peri salt on them. Is it worth writing home about? Not quite. Feel like some of the dishes are quite pricey.

Nice but too pricey for the portion size for the amount paid . Clean environment and ok service . Good food presentation with allergy stickers . They also give discounts to students and NHS staff.

The toy is bad and the food isn’t great quality

Pepe's is one of our favorite peri peri chicken stops, We tried many London restaurants We were so glad they opened closer to us in Colchester.we ordered the biggest chicken dish mango and lime/extreme hot,rice and chips and naan , chicken was fresh but compare to London Pepe's it's less sausy and less flavor and extream hot wasn't very extreme hot and mango lime was less flavor,chips and rice was fresh and delicious but naan bread wasn't fresh but hard we have to pay for garlic mayo extra, We ordered a large bottle of drink which we have to ask again to serve while we waiting for our food to serve about 30 min which is fair time in a busy time Customer service was an excellent pleasant kind manner she even take a notice about our complain less sausy and extream hot and fixed the issue with our second order We will definitely visit again

Refused to accept blue light ID despite of showing them the blue light card as they wanted to see the NHS card. Showed them the driver license which clearly says Dr. But wasn’t accepted.

It's like a budget Nandos but tastier.

1. Don’t order the BBQ panini, uncooked dough with a hint of meat inside, picture so disappointing 2. Chicken burger - full of oil, tasteless and lacking any flavour 3. I don’t understand why do I have to listen to their Arab praying all the time I am there ? 4. No atmosphere, nothing special. 5. It is not it used to be, when the customer comes first and you get properly served. 6. Bored employees, no smiles, toilet locked… and I could go on forever. Shame…

Chicken was delicious but the rice was a bit plain.

Chicken wings are one of the best what I've had till now, I would say to go for their home-made sweet chilli sauce, the taste between this two is unbelievable, and the staff are highly trained and help you with any enquiries

The manager did not accept any student document for a discount, was fixated on wanting the student id card after even knowing i was a student which i showed the picture of it on my phone too… bring your student cards or you are not a student according to them, show your brp, digital pictures of ID card or anything, you are not a student even if you are

The flattest XL chicken burger I have ever had. One thin chicken fillet and a few pieces of lettuce with a slathering of mayo. £11.50 for a meal is well over priced!

Absolutely lovely and spacious eatery with courteous and nice staff. When I was there, my card didn't work and Heba, a pleasant female staff was so kind and patient. She even gave me a discount that's exactly the cash on me and saved me from an embarassment. I'd surely patronize again.

Order was missing few items; garlic sauce and drink.

My ice cream was completely melted, like it was left out of a freezer while they cooked my food, tried to call the restaurant no reply. Cheese bites and tender strips were nice. Burger and fries were a bit of a let down.

The food was great but I ordered on the app for 10.45pm at 10.05pm at 11.15pm I phoned as still no order had come to be told they had delivered my order to someone else. I did get an apology but was told my order was on its way. I would have liked to have been offered something complimentary or an offer of something off my next order but wasn't offered anything and it finally arrived 45 mins after it was suppose to be delivered. The food when it came was amazing as always but the mess up with delivery put a downer on it. Normally great but tonight wasn't good 😕

The food is nice but for some reasons lacks consistency. Compared to other Pepes it’s not my go to but overall for the Colchester area probs the best place for grilled halal chicken.

They’ve been nice and patient answering all my questions and didn’t try to oversell. Saved me from wasting food after over ordering 😄. You might walk out with a few free dips if you’re lucky.

I love Pepe's! Had my order taken incorrectly, it was put through as medium when I asked for a large however it was sorted out really quickly, politely and with zero issues ^-^ the food is always soo tasty and piping hot. Never had a complaint and my partner and I eat here a lot!

I like all the flavours of the chicken the only thing i am not happy and not worth the money is never try the chicken wings platter, i order 18pcs of chicken wings for £17.49 i thought at least it was a mixed of the big and small size of the part of the wings, comes out it was all the small part only one piece out of 18piece chicken only one is the big part.. not worth it.. just get the whole chicken with rice and fries, more worth it than the chicken wings.. it was take away notice it when i get home.. still flavour was good..👍

I've been here a few times now, and consistently, it's been great. Food is halal! Alhamdulillah, 9 of us went in last Wednesday, and the service was great, efficient, and food was delicious. The rice box "lemon and hot" with the seasoned chips and garlic sauce is a must 👌 When visiting colchester, I will definitely return. Keep up the great work, guys, and thank you. I've been recommending this to alot of people in my area.

Absolutely SHOCKNG telephone service. The girl should not be allowed to answer the phone (bless her) - it’s merely a fact that I had to repeat myself 3-4 times on every single item ordered - more than frustrating. I KNOW I’m clear with my words and speak perfect English. To say it was annoying is an understatement. I felt like I had to verbally breakdown every syllable for the staff to understand anything I said!! The food delicious, the service atrocious

Gaurd told me the driver gave it to a brown guy, I’m black!! He also refused to come to where I was despite me saying I’m injured.

The food is good I just think 5 chicken wings for £10+ is a bit much. Maybe 8 chicken wings for sure but 5 … that’s a stretch, quality of the chicken isn’t high enough for that.

Amazing food and warm hospitality. Service with a smile Abdullah, Talha and the team have nailed the service element right. My in-laws who are very fussy about food stated the meats were well marinated and the flavor was definitely better than Nandos. Excellent 👌 keep it up.

Used to love this place. Then I went to get food today, I waited 35 minutes for my food and they missed my number. Turns out the food was waiting under the table behind the counter. When I asked why it took so long they said “maybe we called your number and you didn’t answer” which was t true at all they never once called my number while I was waiting. Just prioritised serving their mates. Bad people working there

This one is in Colchester. Halal menu. It tasted so good my little one is a fussy eater. He liked it so i recommend this place. Its in the town center. Must try.

Chicken burger size toddler size, no sauces, no salad. overpriced. Horrible pita, chicken tasteless. Hot and spicy rice: chicken delicious but rice tasted like cardboard. wonderful garlic sauce. You'd better get Nandos for the price.

Food was nice however for the price of the wraps think they are slightly overpriced at around £8-£10 and also slightly smaller than expected for the price. Was also a shame it seems as though our food possibly may have been tampered with as the seal on bag was torn

The staff does not care at all while taking the order I ordered medium spice and they gave me an extra hot order when I went home and saw the order it was completely different and took the money for Pepsi but not Pepsi I ordered the meal and but give me not pepsi just give it to me a starw Chilli sauce was put on top of fries 🍟 it which was not edible at all. All the food I throw it into the bin. And food rate is to high.
