Visited on a cold day and there did not seem to be much heating on. We ate in our coats the room was that cold. A feature of the cafe is its large glass windows with a view over the countryside. Perhaps this vast expanse of glass makes the room harder to heat on a cold day? Menu has plenty of breakfast, snack and lunch options. Rather overpriced though. Bill for 3 hot drinks, 1 sandwich and 1,scone was £31.50. None of the food or drink items were exceptional all rather average. The service was very good.

Lovely traditional Pub, fab atmosphere and cosy fire Quick Service and food was good, all looked home cooked. Lots of options on the menu and a specials board. Minimal options for vegetarians. Some parking out the front, was no issues for us to get parked and on street parking nearby. Would recommend and would return.

Lovely place to get some food from coffee and cake to a proper meal. Lots of options for a variety of dietary requirements like vegan and gluten free. It was clean, modern and had a very lovely atmosphere. Staff were so friendly and helpful. They couldn't have done any more. The food was amazing and delicious. Everyone was happy with their meal and we all went away very satisfied. Would definitely come back again next time we're in the area.

Booked on a Thursday night with my bestie, as we'd called in for a cuppa during the day recently and thought the menu was interesting. I really can't fault the place. I ate brie wedges and bouillabaise. Both delicious and huge portions. We drank an excellent bottle of viognier and lovely malbec. My friend ate a pate starter and Moules mariniere. Again, huge portions. All the food was excellent. Service was friendly and plenty of other customers. And I think it was reasonably priced at £120, for the quality and quantity. I'll definitely be returning.

Proper pub with cask ale, wood burners and low beamed ceilings. If you're seeking refuge from the wet and cold, there is no better place to be. It's warm, cosy and comfortable, and the owners have always been kind and friendly. In summer there is a garden out front with a few benches and a wonderful view into the valley.

Visited for Sunday carvery - the quality of the food was brilliant. However the portion size for carvery really poor for 16.95, 2 slices of meat that couldn’t possibly be carved any thinner and then one tablespoon of vegetables is served for you. The smallest portion of cauliflower cheese we asked for extra got an extra tablespoon full - such a shame for the price being so determined to scrape on quantity. Apparently we could have had extra but carvery team very focused on not giving more than a tablespoon. No mash potato and each carvery restricted to the 2 served small roast potatoes . I can see other similar reviews on here so this must be the usual for this restaurant. Great pub great service and atmosphere and friendly staff let down by this

I have to say first time we have visited this venue...The atmosphere is electric from start to finish. Staff so helpful and friendly manager was so welcoming and spent time chatting even though the place was packed! If you are in the area and fancy a great pint and some exceptional food then look no futher! We shall return.

Came here as it looked like a nice little cafe from the outside. Ordered a full English breakfast and most of it was cold. I’m sure it was already cooked and attempted to be reheated and failed. When I placed the order the lady serving didn’t really know what was going on either. Won’t be going back
