The best restaurants in England

Decent Fish and Chips - probably one of the best that I have tried in London. Fish is usually cooked to order, however if you visit within 30 mins of when they are due to close, their food may not be quite as fresh. Between 5pm and 6pm seems to be the busiest time I have visited. By 6.30pm it quietens down a little in my experience.

My family go to this Thai restaurant, always delicious, quick service took 20 minutes ! Whenever we dine in the restaurant the atmosphere is wonderful all the staff are so kind would recommend coming here for the best experience. We are regular customers, and they never disappoint!

We are very lucky to get a table for three on Friday night without prior reservation. We are very impressed by the foods we ordered, everything is so delicious! I particularly love the seafood and chicken paella we ordered, the meat is generous, good amount for three people to share, so tasty!Also, the service is fairly attentive and quick, every staff is wearing a smile on their face. I haven’t enjoyed dining in a restaurant so much as today. Highly recommended!

Really tasty curries, but took two hours to deliver a relatively small order (3 dishes) to Melbourne on a quiet Monday evening.

Service , food etc all good , thought £24 for the beef dinner was on the expensive side though to be honest , 2 starters , one wine and zero beer and two roasts nearly £80

Permanently closed. Website still takes orders for gift vouchers and bookings with a deposit which can no longer be redeemed or refunded.

Excellent food, love battered sausage. Have to wait until it is cooked but it doesn't take long.

The waitress who served us had a bad attitude after i made a small complaint about my food.

Not impressed. Arrived for a pre-booked lunch on Saturday, but not welcomed at the bar and left standing for some minutes. Was seated in a dark room with no heating and only given one of two possible menus. We told waitress the room was very cold and she simply replied 'yeah, it is'. Left to pay for the 2 drinks we had as decided not to stay and eat, and again left waiting while 4 members of staff chatted near us. Had to specifically ask to pay for our drinks and wasn't asked at any point why we'd decided not to stay. Left and ate in a nearby garden centre, which was a much better experience all round. Won't be visiting the hotel again, at least not to eat.

Can’t praise Simon enough made the whole process of buying a bike very simple not once but twice would highly recommend CMC Cannock

We have been in this place few times and we never were disappointed. We also were annoyed too celebrate our daughters birthday and the staff was so kind to bring cake to our table and top ask others to join in singing birthday song. Thank you!

Great place!! And would highly recommend to anyone! The food was exceptional, especially the beef and chicken hanging kebabs. Steak was perfectly well cooked. All 8 of us was very happy with our meals! Really friendly team also. They were amazing with my sisters rapeseed intolerance also and checked with her to make sure everything was great with her meal and offered her more if she needed. I'm looking forward to going back again soon!

This was our first visit and unfortunately, we won’t be rushing back unless there was a good reason to go. The venue lack any ambience and we also expected the service to be better. It wasn’t bad service, it was more the inexperience and this isn’t reflected in the price. We both also thought that the portion sizes were too small. The Sunday roast was far below the standards of Blackfriars. For me, the Yorkshire pudding was great, the cheesy leeks were fine but the rest of my roast beef was below standard. Unfortunately, we were expecting something similar to Blackfriars and St Vincent in terms of surroundings and service, but both were disappointing in comparison.

This place focuses heavily on selling fish-based dishes. We went with friends and frankly I have to say that the fish dishes were a bit disappointing, while the meat was really good. We consider the prices to be average, while the wine has a decidedly high cost, this disappointed us a bit. We will try to return once again, I am curious to taste their prawns and make a further evaluation.
