Genuine, authentic Italian - built for the community! We’ve been going here for 13 years?! Man and boy I’ve enjoyed La Piazza, each visit consistently brilliant, owned by two chefs, who create and prepare some of the tastiest Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. I’ve eaten all over the world from Michelin star to tiny street food vendor and I would hands down put La Piazza as one of my all time favourite places in the world. The welcome, the atmosphere on an evening, the owners waving from the kitchen, the knowledgable servers and the extensive menu, for me it feels like a home, but if you think about it, isn’t that how Italy is meant to feel; the history, warmth and comfort. The food is always beyond comparison, without fail, every single time. They probably didn’t need this review, because if you know, you know, but I wanted to take the opportunity to express my honest opinion and thanks. Long may you continue! (Gutted I left my pizza box today :( )

The service was very good! Food was just ok.

We thoroughly enjoyed the lasagna and ravioli 😋 it arrived within 20 minutes and the staff were very polite and friendly 😀

While the food was good, the service and place needs a bit of tidying up. Firstly it took 15 minutes after being seated to being asked if and what drinks we wanted, we thought we had been forgotten, and when she did come we mentioned we were ready for food, however the lady that takes drinks orders isn’t able to take food orders so she had to pass this information onto someone else who then had to come and take our food order, making the process longer than necessary as we then had to wait for her. The food however was pretty quick and it was good. The sea food spaghetti however said it had king prawns but there were only 3 king prawns and the rest was shrimp which was disappointing. The outdoor area really needs a bit of cleaning, leafs everywhere and tables and chairs pretty dirty. Has a lot of potential but needs a bit of work.

First time eating here and will definitely come again! Amazing huge pizzas,great prices and a lovely atmosphere, the waiters were lovey and very friendly. My little boy loved the male waiter as he interacted with him and made him laugh! All my children (aged 7,13 and 16) loved it and are looking forward to eating their leftovers for breakfast ! Bought ten Pizzas for my lads 11th birthday. Ready on time really delicious, no flop, good under carriage. All got eaten, highly recommended!! 5 stars

My favourite restaurant in Bristol. We went here many times, the food is so tasty and the staff is so friendly.

The carbonara was a little disappointing, no guanciale used, and I think cream was used in the sauce too, so not really authentic Italian food.

What a gem of a little place! We were staying in an air bnb up the road and needed food before Take That concert. Your food was outstanding! We loved it! Thank you for helping us get our weekend off to a great start!

We are always welcomed with a smile from the waitress to the chefs ,they always meet my needs ,iv only just started to eat pizza again and because of la piazza i cant get enough😃

Carbonara looked fantastic, until I started eating it, to realise it tasted mostly of pepper. Never had to have a glass of water to eat a carbonara before. Thank you for your response, I understand that you use pepper. I just didn’t expect it to taste only of lots of pepper. Makes the sauce pretty pointless

First customer of the day at lunchtime, sadly my lasagne had a cold spot in the center garlic bread wasn't crispy... However that lasagne was the best I've had in almost a decade since my local Italian closed where I used to live... I have many things I wanted to try from the evening menu so I will definitely return!

The best Italian restaurant with the best people, have been here numerous occasions and always have the best experiences, staff are so friendly and helpful and everything is delicious.

We went in late after a concert nearby. The welcome was very good. The staff just excellent. The dishes also very tasty and good portions. Parking no problem. Will come here again as wish to try other dishes on the menu. Keep up the good work !

Was a Deliveroo order Pizza to share, plenty toppings, good crust and thin base but strong enough for the sauce and toppings. Really tasty. Garlic pizza had generous amount of cheese. Had a few pasta dishes, portion was plenty but have to admit all three were slightly bland. Side olives I’d say give a miss, nothing exciting flavour or size wise. Overall, a safe, family style Italian. Was nice for sharing and cosy tea at home.

Another superb evening at La Piazza. The pizza just keeps getting better. We went as a family and the service was super. Highly recommend for a traditional Italian experience.

Don’t normally review places but the linguini bianchi I had for lunch was so delicious that I feel compelled to! They do lunchtime chapter menu too so very affordable

Very cosy place to have lunch, well decorated, staff very friendly and quick service. We were three of us having lunch and ordered two spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti bolognese. Portions and presentation was good. The carbonara was served with bacon but wasn't crispy bacon, and the bolognese was served with three meatballs that it looks like it wasn't handmade. For dessert we had tiramisù and I was expecting not so much cream but more sponge layers with more taste of coffee and liquor. Overall it's a good place, music is very well chosen, not too loud, and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Prices are normal, not cheap but not too expensive.

We have been going to La Piazza since we moved to Fishponds a little over 2 years ago. It’s our family favourite - from an evening out to a special occasion. Our 3 year old loves it. The food is consistently excellent and the team are warm, friendly and kind. They always go above and beyond every time we visit. We couldn't recommend La Piazza 1 highly enough.

I have dined here on many occasions and I have say that it’s the best Italian in Bristol, I cannot praise the staff enough they are all so kind it’s like having one big family and you can tell how passionate they are because their Dishes are exceptional ,I highly recommend home made pate , mussels in white wine and fillet steak just a few dishes on a vast menu ,just love love

Just had lunch with my dad was an amazing experience with excellent service I got a pepperoni pizza and he had prawns with a side salad I can say we both devoured our meals. I would highly recommend.

I am suprised I haven't done a review for La Piazza 1 before! We have been going here for about 10 years. Always fantastic food, always a great experience. We went for Christmas Day in 2021, and we've celebrated 3 birthdays there in 2023. We go to lots of other places to eat, but the reason this is always our 1st choice for some sort of ocassion is because its 100% guaranteed that the service and care will be amazing and the atmosphere will be superb. I can't say enough how good Christmas day 2021 was.

Basic Italian eatery. Specialises, I think, on Piazza. I had the lunch special of Whitebait as starter... excellent, and Seabass as mains. Very good. Rest of our party loved their desserts. Always noisy in there.

How can this place be at the side of a busy road in Bristol and make you feel like you're on holiday? The decor and ambiance in this place carefully blocks out the urban backdrop and insulates you from modern suburbia with such splendor that when you leave, you will feel like you've been deceived! Let's talk about the food. We had an arrangement of pastas, pizzas and starters and they were wonderful: nice portions, flavoursome and mouth-watering presentation. The service was timely and they really do everything they can to ensure your visit is memorable. We finished our visit with espressos but I will be back to try a dessert soon. But, given the size of the meals, I'll have to skip the bruscetta - and that feels like a crime. I'd strongly recommend this place. But please try not to be disappointed when you leave this dreamy restaurant and find yourself back in reality.

This is a lovely little Italian restaurant in fishponds. I was there for my 77th birthday celebration, and the food, drink, and service were excellent. Excellent place to visit for lunch, evening dining, or as my case a special occasion.

Party mostly ate pasta which was very good - particularly the Marinara. Pizza was also generous and well made. Star of the show were the homemade desserts, all of which were excellent.

This has to be the best Italian restaurant. We have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. In fact, we have spent many Christmas days being brilliant fed and spoilt by the amazing friendly staff. I highly recommend eating here. It’s cooked fresh and the special are delicious. It’s hard to choose what to eat as we always want it all! Writing this is making hungry. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

Best Italian in Bristol, full stop. Had a classic Margarita and also an excellent calzone. The service was first class, staff very friendly. Sat outside on a summer evening. Even had a cheeky Limoncello. Highly recommend, great atmosphere. 10/10.

Visited this place on 2 occasions one for a snack in the afternoon had a couple of starters the meatballs were delicious.. on our 2nd visit for an evening meal I decided to have the recommended fillet steak I must say .. THIS WAS THE BEST STEAK I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME .. thank you to the chef for cooking it to perfection the knife slid through it and it literally melted in my mouth I am in awe and for a reasonable price .. I would highly recommend this venue hidden on fishponds high street…

I have visited La Piazza many times with family and friends. The meals are always delicious and the staff are so lovely and friendly.

Shortly after moving into the Fishponds area we decided to spend our 9 year anniversary by visiting this restaurant as it has a classic Italian family feel to it. We ordered starters, mains and a bottle of wine. As soon as the starters arrived alarm bells are ringing. The calamari was so unbelievably tough and in batter that wasn’t light and crispy. The antipasto romano platter couldn’t have been more Lidl it was unbelievable. The salami was cut way too thick. When I asked what kind of Italian cheese was on the board ‘it’s a kind of mild cheddar’. For all the amazing Italian cheeses available to choose from mild cheddar is their choice of cheese? How has this place managed such good reviews? I have no idea. What a shame we won’t be visiting this restaurant ever again. This restaurant definitely isn’t run by an Italian family that’s for sure.

I've visited this location on and off over the years as a family, party, as well as solo. The food is always amazing the service excellence is always high, cleanliness and presentation is always top notch. It's no wonder they're still going with such high standards as they have many local places should take note. highly recommend lapiazza1 to all.

Best Pizza ever! My partner and I have been to a few Italian places and this place gives you the real Italian feel. The staff are really friendly, the music they play is great, outdoor seating and indoor seating and the restaurant is very clean. We've been here several times and the pizza have never failed to amaze us!

Eaten here many times but visited yesterday evening with our family and had the most delicious meal. Its always good but last night was excellent. Thanks as ever for a great time!

Highly recommend. Food was excellent and arrived in good time. Waiting staff friendly and attentive. We were a table of 5. All food arrived together. Mains and desserts ordered. Specials were very good. Bill for 5 of us very reasonable. Have visited several times and cannot fault. Atmosphere nice and relaxed. Looking forward to next visit

WOW best Italian food ever. The cheese cake was unbelievable.

I went to have some lunch with my husband and 1 year old baby. The restaurant was quite and the atmosphere where relaxing the time we spend there. They do have highchairs for babies, but I didn't use it as I didn't need it that time. The service from the staff was really good and the food was marvellous. When we were leaving, it started to rain cats and dogs and one member of the staff went beyond his role, worrying and asking us if we had an umbrella. He didn't have to worry about the rain, but he did and it was a very kind gesture. We will definitely come back and we will recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

The pizza here is great. Nice staff and nice beer. We had 2 adults and a child with 2 pints and soft drinks and it was £40 which I think is more than reasonable. Very tasty food!

Nice service, friendly place and reasonable prices. Food was average - I’ve had better lasagne from a good quality supermarket ready meal and the roasted vegetables were just boiled veg with a bit of cheese on top shoved under a grill.
