Good dining experience. Nice and busy on a friday! We got the mussles for starter they were really good and steaks for main. All reasonably priced.

Our favourite place and to date serving the best tasty, fresh food. Best attentive ,friendly young staff. The Antipasti last night was delicious, so fresh and plentiful. Hubby's free range chicken main ,not a scrap left on his plate. My Gambrioni ,lush, perfect, a bit too much so boxed up to take home, with a very special message on the lid. We've taken family from OZ, London and Bristol, they specially ask to eat there.

What a fantastic birthday meal we had. The staff were really helpful and accommodating. The food was great and it came out at the right time. They even made our children's birthdays a bit more special by bringing the cakes out with a birthday hat. Great afternoon. Thanks.

Had a great 3 course dinner here for our anniversary. Food was excellent - well cooked and very tasty. Service was also first class, suitably attentive and friendly. We had a lovely evening. It came recommended by a local family and we would return again if in the area. Thank you.

During our stay in one of the nearby villages we were looking for somewhere nice to eat that didn’t have an early closing time. We settled on this restaurant/pub and were really impressed, the food tasted great and the staff were very friendly and efficient. It was a friday evening and the place was bustling, you can tell it is a popular establishment.

Went for dinner whilst staying in the area. Was very busy and the staff were lovely but it was the service was ridiculously slow. It took half an hour for anyone to take our food order and then it took an hour for our starters to arrive, then it was a further half an hour before we had our main. Food was nice, lots of variety.

The food here is very good and by far the best Italian cuisine I've sampled in the immediate area. The service is good - a slight misunderstanding with the drinks order, but that was rectified. I will return and would recommend to others.

Managed get in on our second night in Paulton excellent food not rushed at all which is unusual in the uk wine was very nice too and all reasonably price , thank you for all your attentiveness lady’s

I dropped a star just because of the bench seat that was badly cracked and a slight need of some decorating. The staff were wonderful and welcoming, friendly and cheerful. Loved the food. A place to come back to.

Late Sunday afternoon visit & it was very quiet. Varied menu to satisfy most tastes. Had starter and main, delicious. Definitely come again.

Fabulous meal would of rated 5 ⭐️but being asked TWICE if we would like our change of £16 I find quite rude maybe a staff retrain is overdue hence no tip left

One of our favourite, local Italian restaurants with a great selection of authentic food.

I haven't eaten here for over a year, and I will certainly not be returning. Such a shame as this is my local but it has really gone downhill. Upon entering we were greeted by the most miserable young lady who clearly had no clue how to smile. It looked more like she was serving some kind of a punishment, rather than working in the hospitality industry! The other lady (maybe related, as she had the same blank and unfriendly expression) was no better! How difficult is it to give your customers a smile when they walk through the door. I would strongly suggest re-training your staff on the basics of good customer service. I think this business has got very complacent and just relies on what was, a good reputation. The food was average at best, and has also gone downhill. This is unfortunately one of the worst experiences of customer services I have received and I will spend my money elsewhere from now on. For the love of god, smile and be friendly and have a better knowledge of the source of your products. Totally underwhelming and the most miserable staff ever!

Great place. Unobtrusive exterior that masks a great interior and great food. Lovely restuarant and thoroughly recommend it.

Fabulous atmosphere. Busy restaurant but attentive, friendly staff. Nothing seemed like too much bother, got the interaction spot on. Food was delicious, service as expected in a busy restaurant, pleasant gap between courses, but never too long. If you haven't been, get booked in!

Absolutely delicious seafood linguine there was plenty of salmon mussels and prawn in a scrumptious sauce , my husband had pizza and pronounced it as probably the best he’d eaten- nice atmosphere great experience

We were walk-in's... busy restaurant... found us a table ... with the proviso that we were quick.. that didn't upset us... we were quick.. restaurant filled up fast with diners that had booked... brilliant food... brilliant and friendly staff... I went here for the first time for lunch with a friend in the Paulton area, and I must say I was very disappointed having heard good reviews. The lamp shank was tough and chewey and over cooked, we ordered a 2nd portion, which was an improvement but still not up to standard considering the price. For desert I ordered a tiramasu which was clearly defrosted and ice cold in the middle. Will not be returning as first impressions count.

My wife booked a table for our family for Fathers Day, as been coming here for a few years, despite the abrupt female who runs front of house, and the food is usually excellent, but sadly today I was served a dish with a completely black vegetable of some description. Had it not been hidden under the mash, I wouldve sent it straight back. My daughter also pulled a hair out of her ice cream. Won't be returning, as apart from rude front of house female, we weren't asked how our meals were, the plates were just cleared and when I pointed out the black item on my plate, I said I dont what that is, but it shouldn't have been served and the waitress said, I have no idea what it is either! No apology - needless to say, we won't be returning.

Great Food. Decor a bit basic. Staff pleasant enough. Prices are nearer the top end. I do think that Costello's in Radstock is much better.

Great place with really good Italian food. Nice garden to enjoy your meal at on a sunny evening. Service was prompt and portion sizes were generous.

Fantastic food and service on a busy night.....

Meal good but ravioli was a VERY small portion so pricey for what it was compared to friends choices. Ordered Banoffe pie and ice cream my mistake it was actually vanilla cream on menu so came with one dollop of ice cream no vanilla cream and got charged extra 2 pounds so nine pounds for a pudding!!

A real gem in an unlikely location. Excellent food and hospitality. A refreshing change from more well known Italian restaurant brands.

What a fabulous Italian restaurant. Food, service and ambience was absolutely amazing. They were also very accommodating of our dog. We will absolutely be visiting again. HIGHLY recommended.

Have to say it was the worst Lasagna we’ve ever had! All pasta, béchamel & swimming in tomato sauce. No meat!! Bland and tasteless! Would have given 0 stars but doesn’t allow me to.

We visited at 6pm on a saturday night and the place was packed. My lasagna was probably the best i have ever tasted but the portion size was very small for the price. My partners pasta and prawn dish was also lovely but again, the portion size was small. We shared a pricey rhubarb and apple crumble for dessert and there was no rhubarb to be seen. and just one small scoop of ice cream. The waitress just said that she would mention it to the chef. They should have just told us that they had no rhubarb!!! Would have been five stars if the portions had been bigger

We love La Campagna and have visited many times, but I am definitely starting to be put off coming again due to the attitude of the lady serving, she has such a bad attitude, it’s a shame, let’s the whole restaurant down. Other staff are lovely and food was excellent, couldn’t fault it. We ordered a sharing starter but they brought the children’s mains with the starter which was odd, we wanted to all share the starter. We asked her to keep the kids spaghetti warm and she did but she didn’t seem happy about it for some reason and told us kids don’t like waiting for food! Kids ice cream was only one tiny scoop, I’m sure it used to be more. We asked to split the bill at the end and were told we couldn’t! Disappointing about the service especially as the food was so good. Won’t be rushing back.

The food was incredible, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was second to none - a truly fantastic evening. Thank you also for the birthday song and the anniversary prosecco - mum and dad were so touched!  Thank you, thank you again to all the wonderful staff who made the evening so enjoyable.

WELL WORTH A VISIT!! My partner and I popped in to see if they could squeeze us in after driving past on our way home from work at 7PM. The place was fully booked, but they offered us a table in their extension/waiting area, which suited us fine as it wasn't as busy lol. The staff were very friendly, and unlike some places, they have plenty of front staff who seem to be well trained, keeping themselves busy looking after the customers. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The price was also very reasonable. We will definitely be visiting again when in the area in future.

Vegetables fine, lovely and hot but chicken overcooked and dried out. I should have sent it back. The profiteroles were also dry and disappointing.

Four of us visited this restaurant and we had great food and excellent service from Jonida. I had the prawns and the HUGE calzone which were both delicious.

We went Sunday for a meal and all decided on a roast dinner even though it was really hot outside we must have waited a good 30 minutes for our meals to arrive. Two of us opted for the lamb and both of us said you could not even taste the lamb, I asked for mint sauce and it came 15 minutes later. All of the dinners were lukewarm nobody came and asked if it was OK when the owner came to take our plates away he asked if everything was OK I told him no and explained it was not hot and the lamb tasted of nothing his response was thanks for letting me know, and that was it. I have been her several times and this has been my worst visit. When they first opened it was excellent but definitely gone downhill the last couple of times before this visit I have had to send my lasagne back because it has been cold.

We visited because of the positive reviews but were disappointed. Waiting staff is not very friendly. My cannelloni pasta was all dried out (should have sent it back) and my wive’s salad was nothing special. When my son’s ice cream came it had a hair on it. At no point did any of the staff ask if everything was ok or even if we wanted to order anything else. Lots of room for improvement.

We were recommended this restaurant by our host at a local air bnb, and so ordered a takeaway meal. Both dishes were hot and well packaged, which sometimes isn’t the case with a takeaway! The food was delicious and we regretted not ordering some of...
