Two Brothers Fish House in Spelthorne

These are some great cod and chips. I'm back in the area for a few weeks so I thought I'd give this chippy a go as it's got the best rating. I'm going back before I leave even if it is a bit far for me to go but worth it. Next time I'll only have the standard chips with large cod as I couldn't finish them, I kept eating as they were great chips.

No thank you, no please, no eye contact, I've asked 4 extra salt and vinegar and as if I've asked 4 the world and then she put it on the left hand side window without saying a word ,I've had to to ask if it was mine and what I believe was the manager said yes

Best fish and chips in the area, I have other chip shops closer but prefer to drive here as its very consistent. You sometimes have to wait a few minutes if they are busy and sometimes 5 minutes if cooking chips but at least you know they will always be fresh. Recommended.

The fish was not as nice as it used to be, they may have changed the batter as it just covered the fish like it was flour and was not firm and had no texture like it used to. Maybe it’s changed management ☹️ 🐠

The best fish and chips in the area! Their chips are crispy and cooked to perfection and the fish tastes great and is not dripping with grease. I highly recommend this place.

Tonight was best peice of cod ive had in years was a giant piece with crispy batter, eaten a few times from here over the years and its always been good but tonight was great. 👏👏👏

Had food in the restaurant no complaints ordered delivery. be prepared to wait on your delivery I waited just over an hour. Food arrived fish cooked ok but just warm chips were cold beans cold . Sadly after a few mouthfuls it went straight in the bin. I will only eat in from now on

As soon as I walked in I could tell this wasn’t your normal fish and chip shop! The decor and seating area were a level above any other fish and chip shop I’ve visited. It had a diner feel to it. The food itself was amazing - the grilled fish and chips was tasty, well grilled and seasoned with good spices. The batter on the cod had a unique and tasty flavour and the chips were cooked well and a generous portion. The 1/2lb burger was filling and topping selection was on par with five guys. Battered sausage was also 10/10. Will definitely be visiting again soon! Staff were polite and the owner took time to speak to us and find out a little about us as we were first time visitors. Had a nice family feel to the place.

Went to shop there and saw this Chippy looked posh and had a great seating area . Had fish and chips and a battered sausage all were top class . Highly recommend it and reasonable prices for sure 5 stars

ok the food was good , great portions and taste, but the real treat was the waitress, she had a wonderful local accent and so fun, good working class fair, we saw mostly take away people,

Excellent Cod (I like it skinless), with yummy fries with melted cheese. We slaobhad grlled cod (with butter & parsley). Highly recommended, Excellent service.

Thought we would try a new fish and chip shop we was recommended this place and really glad we came lovely staff and amazing food! Brilliant prices and our cod was massive.

We ordered 7x take away large cods and not only the food was great but the service was awesome. They excellent packed the fish and all the food was hot. Thank you. We will order again!

Just take the mick out of drivers making them wait for over 15 minutes then when packing the order finally after 15 minutes “oh sorry we have to wait on the mushy peas another 5 minutes” - they have absolutely no clue on how to run this establishment. Feel sorry for the customers ordering on these platforms with these over inflated prices and the food gets to them cold mushy and very late because they prioritise customers who walk in.

Great Fish and chips, the best Fish and chip shop around the area, quick and sufficient service and the atmosphere is alright.

We always come to you two brothers when I down from Cambridge to visit family it's the best fish & chips in the area.

Ordered in the shop a takeaway. First time in there, the restaurant side was very busy but we didn't have to wait long to be served. Food was ready very quickly, piping hot and delicious. Definitely will go back. Reasonably priced too.

The BEST fish & chips around!!! Absolutely delicious - I really enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly & approachable. We had a wonderful experience & I’ll be back there next weekend!!!!

My late Grandad loved having his fish and chips from this place, so it seemed like the natural choice when trying to arrange catering for his wake. The only problem was that the wake was during the day, before Two Brothers opened. I called in advance and spoke to the owner and he was fantastic the whole way. He agreed to open up specifically for us to provide the food, we pre-ordered a few days before and it was delivered personally by the owner at the agreed time. The food was lovely, arrived hot and the portions were more than generous. Two Brothers allowed us to give my late grandad a fitting send off. Would recommend this place.

Not what it used to be. Bought a saveloy and chips on the way home from work. The chips were awful. Had a really funny taste to them, which I assume is the oil. Very greasy too. Won’t be using again.

Had cod and chips and the batter was well over dun..price of it is up but quality of it is down. Never again

The battered cod was excellent. The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was superbly crispy. The chips were OK. Would recommend dining in for maximum freshness.

Very welcoming Traditional fish & chips restaurant, beautiful area with tables, but you can take away too. The fish butter was no greasy at all.. I managed to eat it 😋.. we loved the mushrooms fried too. We strongly recommend for a family and friends lunch or dinner 🍽

Arrived home (5 mins drive) to find that our chips and mushy peas were hardly lukewarm! Also, the shop don't serve vegetarian gravy or curry. Not impressed!

Made a phone call to order my food , didn’t take my name and he said 20 mins, got there and the girls didn’t have a clue about my order , No one owned up to taking my order so had to wait as the shop was very busy, absolutely no point in ordering by phone , food was good though

Unfortunately it will be a long while before I go back. The staff are not friendly at all. The onion rings were very overcooked and tasted of fish, not good for a veggie. The chips were very greasy which is not normal. I pre ordered so wentbto the pre order area and was completely ignored a man in the queue whispered to me to use the normal queue as they will ignore you. Shame.

First time I’ve ordered from here and I have to say it was lovely. Yes okay I’m a Mr Plain when it comes to burgers, but it was lovely, chips were perfect as well. Would I use this shop again? HELL YES!!!

JK's was closed for holidays, so ended up here. I can say with confidence that this was the worst cod and chips ive ever had. batter was aweful and chips were like sticks of rock

Worst fish and chips ever. Batter was dark brown and grease just dripped out of it. Don't even think it was cod, probably pollock. Chips were almost inedible. Would not be using again and would recommend to anyone to try somewhere else. Would give zero rating if possible.

Food was ok , service was fast and they gave me the whole bottle of sauce that most fish and chips shops would usually charge u 20p for a small pot off over all good experience

Food is really good. Prices have gotten a bit steep which is why I don't go there very often. But its still tasty whenever I do :)

The best fish and chips we have had , reasonable price, pleasant staff , we visit fairly frequently and eat in the restaurant, can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. The portions of chips and cod are a good size, and the oil used to cook is excellent, no reflux issues that I have had on occasion at other fish and chip shops.

Do not enter if you are Canadian (or American for that matter). I visited in Feb ‘22 on a slow week night and thought the cashier was short with me because I was taking too long to count change, but as I sat down the one owner confrontationally stared me down while I was eating, and where most people would look away, he glared me down the entire time I was eating, making me feel he wanted me to leave. I didn’t finish and left promptly.

A wonderful fish and chip dining experience to be had at the 'Two Brothers Fish House' - the staff are very welcoming, and are very attentive in their customer care. I have no hesitation in recommending this fish shop for the dining-in experience, or for the take-away service; also recommended for their home delivery service. I have given a 5 ☆ rating, but as for my own star rating, i'd have to say 5 ☆'s x 3 - for all round customer care, Amazing food, and customer satisfaction. All Good!.

I came here with some friends and had lunch. We all enjoyed our food. Two of us had the lunchtime special of cod, chips and mushy peas, one had fishcakes and chips both of which included a hot or cold drink whilst l had grilled haddock and chips. All the fish was good and the chips were excellent, piping hot and crispy. It was slightly lacking in atmosphere but this is true of many chippies.

Friendly welcoming staff. Good quality food. Had meal in restaurant good portion and nice ambiance.

It was great to find a fairly local Gluten free battered fish and chips which happens on the first Sunday of the month. But everyday you can have Gluten free chips and grilled fish here. Was a lovely atmosphere will go again for sure

Great quality fish and chips to eat in or take out. Although be warned ⚠️ Fridays are crazy busy as it is well known for its quality and people are more than happy to wait for their portion.

Far and away the best fish and chips I've had on a consistent basis. Go for the large fish and you get enough for 2. It's always beautifully cooked and the batter is not too much and never too oily. The chips are the real deal. Crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft inside. Douse them in vinegar and the last ones come out perfectly squidgy. Awesome.

Don't know what happened today but fish was very dry and chips were cold. 😩

The food was beautifully cooked, I ordered and paid for it online and was given a 6.50pm pick up slot...sadly I had to wait till 7.10pm along with several other people who also ordered and paid online for our names to be called. I know its busy but please be realistic with your times. It's too cold to stand outside for 20 minutes waiting.

When not possible every Friday, Saturday is a must for fish and chips from this friendly chippy. Have been going there since it opened and can't wait for lockdown to end so we can again use the restaurant. Never had a bad portion.

Large Cod and chips feels 2 very easily food was good . What else is there to stay not a lot of parking nearby so park across the street
