Had take away, ate back at Sutton Caravan & Motorhome Campsite. Amazing cod and chips. Proper big piece of fish. Mushy peas were tasty and a decent size portion. Curry sauce was tasty if a little runny for my liking. Saw a black pudding fritter on the menu and couldn't resist- cheeky starter, and very tasty it was too. Really friendly staff. Fantastic food. And to top it all off, really good value for money. Recommended and would definitely use again next time we stop in Sutton.

Visited here like always when in Sutton on Sea. I had ordered fish and chips not realising if I wanted a cod I needed to specify this. By no fault of the staff at Waldos I had Haddock. When I called to question they were more than obliging and gave me the meal again free of charge but this time cod. Great food and lovely people!

Think you should review your home page and remove all the old menus, bit confusing with at least three different prices.

Lovely crispy light batter. Chips cooked properly. Good mushy peas and curry sauce. Nice to be able to get cod roe. Small haddock and chips plus mushy peas or curry sauce £5.95 plus £1.50 for cod roe. £14.90 for two. Good value. Plenty for us but if you're really hungry they do a bigger portion. Nice people too. Recommended if you're in the area. We would definitely return.

After a long, very cold, walk on the lovely beach, we popped into Waldo's for fish and chips. Unwrapped, taken away and eaten outdoors, the way they are best enjoyed imho. The food was fresh, made to order while we waited, and tasted great. Probably up there with the best I've ever had. Well done Waldo's for keeping up a great British tradition. Until next time :)

Checked the website and showed the chip shop was open until 19.00 so we travelled there only to find that it was closed!!! Luckily the Dolphin chip shop was open that is just further down the road which we found the food to be great and will be using this from now on. If you are closed then try updating your website so that people visiting won’t be disappointed!

I'm new to the area and have visited twice, both times the fish and chips have been freshly cooked, the fish was still crispy and hot after I drove home, great that they were served in a box, staff really polite friendly and helpful, I asked what an item was in the warmer I was told they were the lunch of the lady serving! They were filled potato skins and she offered me one to try! How friendly is that, it made my day after a hard day of decorating! Above and beyond well done!

Amazing , I was sent on a transfer with the ambulance service over to the coast. Needless to say while at the seaside you have obligatory fish and chips. Probably the best fish and chips around and definitely will be returning 🤤 Amazing value for money and worth every bit Thankyou

Not cheap, but possibly the best fish & chips in the area. Be advised: take your own condiments to avoid being charged for Waldo's sachets.

With very good reviews this was to be our last take away lunch before our trip home, busy so a good sign, But very disappointed, more batter then fish, it was gray and dry with a hard edge one side ? All Three portion's were the same. Majority of our chips we 4cm and hard. If we had been eating In, they would have all been returned. A few pence short of £20. Definitely not value for money and the chap in front of us was chastised for paying buy card because they get charged for It.

When you see a long queue, you think, the fish and chips must be good. We queued excitedly for over 20 minutes but unfortunately could not say, it was the best! The batter was hard and not a lot of fish inside.

Nipped to sutton on sea from skegness lived here 23 years had alot of fish and chips in that time..but this was the best fish and chips iv ever had! Amazing i also cook for a living so im hard to please sometimes! Highly recommended!

This place is amazing, would highly recommend to anyone that is visiting the area. We went at about 18:30 and it was busy, with that in mind the staff were friendly and professional. Not one single person grumbled about the wait time as food is cooked to order. There was hardly any grease on the box after eating the food. The mushy peas and curry sauce were immense. Tried a mushy peas fritter and was not disappointed. Hopefully get a chance to go back before I leave Friday. Thanks for the wonderful food.

This shop was buzzing with customers, the staff were simply brilliant, very well organised and polite. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve eaten, loads better than the one we get down in Bedfordshire and served in cardboard containers. Chips, perfect. Slight crisp and fluffy inside. Haddock, incredibly fresh fish very lightly bettered and cooked to perfection. Mushy peas along with the curry sauce were good, all very hot. It’s a quick walk from the main beach but we’ll worth it. 🙏

First visit fish and chips ordered sat outside to eat, best fish and chips we have had on Lincolnshire coast.

We were in Mablethorpe for the day but decided to drive to Waldo's for fish and chips as we'd eaten there the previous year. The long queue speaks for itself. The food was fresh, piping hot and delicious. The portion sizes are great value for money, will definitely be back when we're next in the area.

Lovely fish n chips come here all the time when we come from louth really lovely.

Tried to call through to put a large order in, for 10 people (about £70) for collection in an hour and a half time and was told they wouldn't do it. Didn't want to cause a huge queue with such a big order so thought we were doing the right thing, but we're refused. The Dolphin took our order though!

These serve yhe best fish and chips in the whole area. Reasonably priced and absolutely delicious.

Always try and go here when we visit. On busy days, prepare to queue, it's that popular.

I had fish and peas and I dont like vinegar but all I could taste in peas was vinegar so this put me off eating it so it was wasted

Sutton-on-Sea, what happened? I’ve been visiting Waldo’s since the 1980’s, as I grew up in Huttoft. They’ve always been the place for quality fish and chips at a reasonable price. Having just visited this week and paid £19.70 for two fish and chips, 2 ketchups and 2 shandy’s, I would like to say that the days of value for money are well and truly over. You pay the same price in central Bristol and actually receive more chips! The quality is still there but I won’t be bothering again - we’ll just stop off at Wragby fish bar on our way home. Such a shame though. (Plus they’ve still got covid screens up and it’s Aug 2023! I don’t know anywhere in my busy city that are still worried to this extent!)

Well to say I am hard to please when it comes to fish and chips...but the fish was so fresh, as you would expect but really delicious, in fact the kids even liked the taste, we will definitely visit again when on the coast.

The food here was absolutely excellent! The prices are very reasonable and the staff are very warm and welcoming. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to this little chippy. My partner rates this as the best fish and chips she has ever had the pleasure to eat.

Whenever I have visitors they usually request Waldo's cod and chips as a treat for dinner. Yesterday's visitors were no exception. I called roughly about an hour before they were closing, both cod and chips were freshly cooked but didn't take very long at all. Dished up at home and they were piping hot, batter was very light and the fish - well, just perfect! Chips not greasy, cooked perfectly. Us oldies really enjoyed our dinner! Thanks Waldo's. I can highly recommend!

One of the best, if not the best, fish and chips on the Lincolnshire coast. There used to be a restaurant but, sadly, the pandemic ended that. It's succulent fish and chips are now takeaway only although there are some outside tables under a verandah. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is fish and chips at it's best.

Best fish and chips I've had for years, that includes whitby, Scarborough brid, and filey. Fish pearl white and crispy batter. Sat outside at 5 o'clock and takeaway was really busy for midweek. Definitely go again soon.

Have visited waldo's many times over past 30yrs Always served good fish and Chips until today. Absolute rubbish not good value for money. Fish batter very hard chips poor very greasy. Could not recommend

OMG first time here for a lunch and was recommended from people visiting moggs eye beach the chips was absolutely beautiful and no grease whatsoever the peas are cooked to perfection I chose a fishcake today as I'd been fancying one have to say tho the fishcake was lovely and I'll definitely be having a fish next time also the meal was piping hot right up until the last mouthful will be visiting again soon Thank-you

This was my first visit. The fish and chips were delicious. It's been a long time since I had such a tasty fish and chips meal. Plus it was freshly done so retained its heat on my journey home. The premises were clean too.
