Good food enjoyed fish cake and chips. Shame that the staff lack communication skills. The woman serving made you feel like she couldn’t be bothered with you being there. No smiling or thank you. One word answers. Very abrupt.

Ordered large bag chips two fish cakes. Fish cakes were home made you could taste the fish mixed with potato light and crispy they were of a good size.chips were of good quality not mushy nice and firm

It's more than worth a 560 mile round trip for their fish, chips and must peas. Great selection of items available. If you want a large fish or any other special order let the server/fryer know and they're happy to oblige. Great prices too. It's popular so you may need to queue.

Good fish and chips with lunchtime offer of small fish and chips for £3.80. Excellent value but you must order these on entry meanng a wait of approx 5 minutes.

I recently visited Holton Chippy and was very impressed with the food and service. I ordered a jumbo sausage, chips, and curry sauce, and everything was delicious. The sausage was perfectly cooked, the chips were crispy and fluffy, and the curry sauce was rich and flavorful. The prices at Holton Chippy are also very reasonable. My meal cost just over £5, which is excellent value for money. Overall, I had a great experience at Holton Chippy and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable fish and chip meal

Our “go to” for decent fish and chips. Always get it cooked to order with decent size portions of very fresh haddock cooked in a nice light batter. Chips portions are huge.

visiting the area to stay with family. They always use this chippy and bought us some fish and chips for a saturday lunch. As we are from North Norfolk we are used to good fish and chips but these are gorgeous and such good value.

Visiting famy who live in North Thoresby and they rave about the food here. We decided to try it as we used to live on the coast in Sheringham. They were right...the best fish and chips we've had in ages and such good value compared to the North Norfolk coast. Will be using again.

We visited the chipshop last night. Ive got to say it was absolutely spot on. The chips were amazing, curry sauce just right. And the fish was fresh and very tasty. I would highly recommend this chippy 👍

Although we live in Louth we travel the 15 miles to this place as they do the best fish and chips around. Always freshly cooked and the owner are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Used this local chippy now for a good few years and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. From the fish to the burgers, fish cakes, sausages, etc etc etc it's good quality. They will like most chippies skin the fish on request and nearly always fry it fresh to order. Batter is real tasty and crisp plus you can tell the cooking fats are clean and don't run all over your plate when opening the paper to serve. Yeah there are cheaper chippies around but to be fair this place is worth the little extra for the quality..

If you visit this fish & chip shop and want to seriously impress your fiends then order the large haddock and chips, it's fried to order so you will have to wait a bit longer and it costs little more than the regular sized fish but it's worth it for a special treat or if you have a big appetite, all their fish is very good, white with a firm texture and the batter is crispy, the chips are not over cooked like some shops tend to do. I would like to add, this is our local chippy but the owners only know me as customer, you won't find the staff overly chatty but they are always polite, efficient and very good at their job, you wont necessarily leave the shop having made new friends but you will leave with some of the best quality fish & chips for miles around the Grimsby area.

Been using the Holton chippy for years now, and always had great quality fish and chips every time.

Another good local chippy. My parents use it all the time and I have had some nice fish from there. Absolutely no complaints and I would recommend them.

The fish cakes use to be gorgeous. This time, they have made them with smash! You can really tell. Put me off going now.

Always a solid bet here if you live in the HLC massive or visiting and can't be bothered to get transport to the few finer chip shops in the City . Cheers

Unfortunately, Holton le clay only has one chippy so this one has a monopoly in the village. Therefore, prices are higher than in Grimsby whereas quality is no different. If anything the chips always seen to be a bit underdone. Also opening hours are a bit hit and miss
