Oktoberfest was great fun- lovely atmosphere , good humoured
Food plentiful and tasty . Live music was very good
Could do with a photo booth and prop box
Group of us went in yesterday, only downside was music was loud ,really loud but they had pre-warned us that a birthday party was in so not a major issue.
Beer spot on, staff friendly and efficient although we had to shout our orders.
Food awesome, the best mixed grill I’ve had in years, everything was tasty cooked to perfection and tender and less than £16 quid added a pepper sauce which was a bit runny but still tasty.
Definitely be back for more
I went here with my other half for the first time and had a lovely meal. No starters, a curry each and shared a side and naan. Not bad food and thought we will come back. That is until the bill came…
The total was £81 (I would note written in a different pen to the rest of the bill) so we just went through to check they hadn’t added anything extra on as it did seem quite dear for what we had had. All looked fine. Then we looked at the totals and did a rough count up in our head and thought it couldn’t be right. Now we don’t normally sit going through our bill when we go out to eat as you like to think you can trust it is ok. Sometimes mistakes happen but we can’t see this was a mistake. We ended up being those people who got their phones out to calculate to ensure our mental maths wasn’t failing us and sure enough it totalled £51. We added it 3 times to check. I was giving the staff the benefit of the doubt trying to see that the 5 had just looked like an 8 but it was 100% an 8. Also they had written £81.50 and the bill was in actual fact £51.15 so even the pence was wrong. My other half handed it back and just said “there is a mistake” and with no fuss the waiter took it away and brought it back to us amended to sure enough £51.15 and the waiter just said “you are right.” So all the behaviour alluded to the fact they knew they had tried it on with us. They also couldn’t thank us enough when we left.
I was presented with quite a large chocolate bar when the bill came which was quite random and could have been a distraction technique.
We got it resolved no fuss or dramas but it’s a shame as the food and atmosphere was nice but it’s not nice to know you are trying to be conned. Just makes us wonder how many other people they’ve done it to who haven’t noticed or questioned it. A 60% mark up is huge!! Sad to say we won’t be going back.
This "little gem" in Rowhedge has a great atmosphere, the staff were very pleasant and the food, freshly cooked and delicious. What more can you ask for? We would thoroughly recommend a visit
Stumbled across this place on a beautiful day after visiting Tarn Howes. Lovely spot to sit outside with glorious views of Coniston and friendly service. The fruit scones with cream and jam were delicious and there was a top up of filter coffee. I believe they do lunches with beef and lamb from their farm. Interesting history. Not dog friendly inside.

They treat women like a piece of meat. Sandwiches are average and they are very noisy. You cannot really sit down and enjoy it. Maybe they should open a bar instead and make sure they treat women right. Some of their reviews are paid or an exchange for a discount.
The best eggs Benedict I can remember having for a very long time.
Plus delicious flat white coffee.
This is my local cafe and I’ve been supporting it since it was also the deli (now next door and still the most fantastic deli).
So I am a fan and yet, yesterday’s eggs Benedict were ‘on another level’ and moved me to write this. Better than any I’ve had in fancy hotels or London bistros.
PS there were two of them… I scoffed one before thinking to take a photo!

Ordered a halloumi kebab and received this. The halloumi was deep fried, there are no veggies and there was no pitta bread. The halloumi had soaked up all the oil and it was like eating a spoonful of grease. The cheesy chips had practically no cheese on them too, just a little sprinkle. Don’t recommend.
