The Caddyshack in Calderdale

We came across the Caddyshack on our canal walk from Sowerby Bridge to Brighouse and we were delighted to find this brilliant pub/restaurant. The menu was both traditional and Thai and it was so hard to choose a dish as everything sounded delicious. I've never had a better gammon and egg meal and my partner had a very tasty pork chop with all the trimmings. We will definitely drive from Oldham to try the Thai food as an evening restaurant experience as the food aroma was divine. The portions were plentiful and the prices very reasonable. The food smelt like you were actually abroad on holiday and the place itself caters for inside and outside food. An excellent set up with the best food ever and I cannot praise everything about it enough and will definitely be returning with friends. We'll done to everyone involved in achieving this incredible standard throughout.

This place was recommended by friends and we weren't disappointed. Thai food freshly cooked and delicious, service great and really good value. Very lively atmosphere with plenty of customers. We were lucky to get a table so I recommend booking at the weekends. Open seven days and some interesting golfing photos and memorabilia for those that are interested. Finally a brilliant playlist going on with all the favourites from the seventies and eighties.

Lovely bar, great food, fabulous atmosphere

dangerous small dog not on a lead bit and injured my 8 year old niece, believe it belongs to the owner or staff as there was no one there. do not allow a dog to free roam if it is aggressive. staff nor owner couldn’t have cared less, just shrugged.

Had thai red curry tonight and hands down the best I’ve ever had. The service from carla and her daughter were great aswell.

Food was lovely as was service returning soon for another birthday week Thursday.

Absolutely brilliant place had my grandaughters baby shower there staff carla rodd over the top for us all we did do our own buffet which was not a problem at all but I must say I've also eaten there and the food is outstanding.plus a drinking night also they have a very good selection of beers and lagers plus the top self and cocktails.the cleanliness of the place was 100% I couldn't fault the caddyshack in anyway including there staff thank you great day had by all

Can not comment on food but great bat and atmosphere. From what I do hear living local the food is very good

The food took a while to come because it was freshly made and was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that spoiled it was the temperature. It was very cold and it only had one small heater. We had to eat our meal in our coats.

The food here is amazing. It's the best lasagne I've had in a very long while. Portion size is very generous. It's a shame we didn't have room for dessert. The staff are very friendly and approachable. They also have a good selection of drinks available. Will definitely eat here again, I can't recommend this place enough. It deserves every star 🌟.

Visited the Caddyshack recently, and I can honestly say that the salt and pepper chicken was probably the best I've ever tried. We had a party of 8 of us, with a wide variety of food choices, and everyone's starters and mains were perfect. steaks, thai food, pub classics, nice wide variety all cooked to perfection. Great, enclosed beer garden with a pool table was also a really nice touch.

Great food, great service and a great selection of drinks. Stumbled across this place by chance whilst on a weekend away and really glad that we did! Would highly recommend.

Not tried the food, but judging by the smells that were wafting round i'm sure that it would taste great. Compared to the other drinking and eating establishments Caddyshack was a really good atmosphere to have conversation and a good well priced drink. Good, polite and helpful staff.

I recently visited the Caddyshack pub with my family and was blown away by their food and atmosphere. We decided to sit outside, and it was a great decision as the outdoor seating was lovely. It was also a dog-friendly pub, which was a bonus as we had our furry friend with us. I ordered the beef and onion baguette, and it was incredible. The juicy and tender beef was paired perfectly with the caramelized onions, and the baguette was fresh and crispy. It was a wholesome and filling meal that left me feeling satisfied. The portion size was generous, making it excellent value for money. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and welcoming, which added to the charm of the pub. We loved sitting outside, and it was great to see other families enjoying their meals, and the dogs playing together. The staff was excellent, and they were very dog-friendly, bringing water for our furry friend and making sure he was comfortable. They were attentive and friendly, making us feel well taken care of. Overall, the Caddyshack pub was an exceptional experience. If you're looking for a comfortable, dog-friendly pub with great food, I would definitely recommend it. The beef and onion baguette is a must-try, and the outdoor seating is incredible. A big thumbs up!

Shocking service, waited three quarters of an hour for our starters,then another half an hour for our main course, there were 5 of us and the place was practically empty?? Visited on the 2nd May, Food was ok, was knocked £5 off our bill.First and last visit.

This place is a hidden gem! Came here after a social run because we couldn't fit anywhere else. They accommodated us. Made us feel welcome. It wasn't fast food but when the food came, it was absolutely delicious. Would definitely visit here again!

Took my husband for his birthday he got the steak sandwich which he had to send back because it didnt taste right ( the steak ) which has now left him with really bad stomach pains and the runs apart from that everything else was fine

Better now Tony has left. The place is run much better now. Food is fantastic a mix of English food and Thai food cooked by a proper Thai chef. Shows sports and has a small beer garden out back. Nice place

Attended for a long awaited family gathering. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The food was excellent and good value for money. The restaurant itself was very pleasant and clean.

The Thai food is absolutely gorgeous, always fresh and delicious- 100% recommend it, never once have I been disappointed. I haven't tried the traditional English food but there is a carvery on Sundays.

First time here. Excellent menu selection of both pub grub and Thai. We went Thai and to be fair, it was better than some of the local Thai restaurants and priced competitively. Friendly and attentive team, worth a go! Ps. Cracking outdoor area to the rear, real hidden gem

We love going for food here. All the staff are very friendly & the food is delicious. I must advise you to book ahead for a table tho as they do get very busy.

We had a table of 4 and was looked after from the minute we arrived to the minute we left We had various meals and my wife had the best Lasagne she has ever had, 2 of us had a fantastic Steak and my mate had the Mixed Grill amongst some add ons Fantastic hosting and proper prepped and cooked to order Will defo be back

After giving this place numerous chances I can truly say never again, the food can be really nice at times but it is greatly overshadowed by a service that could do with a massive improvement!

Good choice of food available, no dogs allowed in eating area anymore but OK in beer garden.

We had a carvery but for us it was too salty and too peppery otherwise the potatoes and the meat were nice the gammon was also salty

I visited with a friend for a drink and really enjoyed sitting outside in the beer garden. We decide to stay and eat as liked the beer and the look of the menu. Had very nice fish and chips, well cooked and crispy batter. Will visit again soon

Good food, my son had English food and I had Thai food ( sounds like a strange mix but the owner’s wife is Thai). It was delicious! Friendly and helpful staff and a nice building. Only criticism would be the mismatched decor. A strange mix of Thai, Art Deco and Victorian.

The caddyshack is a great place to eat the thai food is very nice and the burgers are too.

1st visit. Full of football supporters as England were playing. Visited with family not sure if I will be going again.

On entering this bar through the lovely revolving door you have a smile on your face, lots of interesting memorabilia to look at which adds a great quirky touch to this sports bar, mix that together with the amazing food on offer and top it off with a one of a kind beer garden with a holiday feel to the rear and you have a great family friendly pub that is a must to visit 👍🏼
