Fine. The sauces have a little too much of a vinegar aftertaste and the fact that they don’t take card payment in 2024 is mucho suspicionado, but overall it was decent food with friendly staff

Having checked the very good online reviews, we gave this a try tonight. Onion bhaji and chicken pakora for starters and keema and peas and fish masala for mains. Absolutely superb. Best curry I've ever had. Definitely recommend the keema and peas. A little hidden gem in Halifax. Give it a go.....

Excellent restaurant , really cannot fault anything about it , the food was perfect , the service was impeccable and all the staff were so friendly and polite , we were visiting Halifax for the Weekend from North Wales and after doing my research on reviews was so glad to have visited and had such an excellent meal with excellent service, the price was so reasonable too ! I really wish it was nearer to where I live as we would be there every Weekend, thank you Spice Delight for everything 😊👏

Disgrace. Rude staff in absence of Vikas this restaurant is nightmare. Staff should be trained how to behave politely with customers. Won't visit again with such rude and unprofessional behaviour.

Fabulous meal. Everything perfect. From the poppadoms- crisp and fresh with tasty pickle tray, the gobi pakora starter was delicious. Freshly cooked cauliflower in a spicy, tasty coating. Butter chicken main was lovely - tasty sauce and tender chicken. And to to top it all, the service was friendly and attentive from beginning to end. Would recommend and will definitely be back any time we are in the area 🙂

Visiting Halifax we opted for an Indian restaurant, being near Bradford. We got excellent recommendations from the waitress and enjoyed a delicious meal. Very different flavours (karahi paneer, lamb achari and chicken jalfrezi) and a nice level of spiciness. Good to see a typical Indian dessert (gulab jamun) on the menu too. We were early but the restaurant filled up quite quickly on a Wednesday evening.

Would definitely visit again. Good food and the staff are very friendly and helpful 👍

Best Indian take-away I’ve ever had.

The best authentic curry I have had in Halifax for a long time. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Excellent menu catering for vegans and vegetarians. I had the fish Karachi and my friend had the butter chicken with pilau rice. Also poppadoms and pickle tray. Everything was delicious and nicely spiced. They have a bar but we just opted for water. Good value for money. I would highly recommend. Just be aware that it is cash only.

Personally I enjoyed my experience here, I also think you should add a naan/garlic naan included with the mixed kebab, other than that, I enjoyed my meal very much, not sure what the silly carrot sticks are about included with the salad but it's rather exotic, very nice place, thankyou.

**Review for Spice Delight Hotel: Poor Service and Disappointing Experience** I had high hopes for Spice Delight Hotel, but sadly, the experience was quite disappointing. Upon entering, we asked the waitress about the closing time, and she informed us that they close when all the clients leave, with the last order at 11 pm. However, at 9:10 pm, the manager rudely approached us, insisting that we order immediately as they were closing. This completely ruined our evening, as we were hoping to have a relaxing, enjoyable meal. The manager's attitude was shockingly rude, making us feel rushed and unwelcome. To add to the disappointment, the food was just average—definitely not worth the poor service we received. And to top it all off, they only accept cash payments, which is quite surprising and inconvenient in this day and age. If you're looking for good service and a pleasant dining experience, this is not the place to go. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend Spice Delight to anyone.

This was my first time here, my god I will definitely eat here again, what a hidden gem. Everything was perfect, from the service to the food. Spice delight, is my number 1 favourite Indian restaurant. You definitely need to try it out. You will NOT be disappointed.

On my way to Halifax, I found a restaurant called spice delight (Indian restaurant) and the food was amazing like Indian authentic cuisine. It’s worth it to go all the way to whitby to Halifax, once in a month. I tried lots of restaurant which is in Leeds, Middlesbrough and Whitby, but I didn’t find Indian authentic food like served in spice delight. All I can say service, food and hygiene all are 5 star. Staff were very friendly. We tried karahi paneer and malai kofta which were amazing.

Highly recommended. The most choice for vegetarians that I have seen in an Indian restaurant. Very friendly efficient service. Note. Cash only. Their dal is the best I’ve tasted and was great to be given the choice of how spicy you want it. Three chilli’s strength for me, was perfect. Was pretty busy for a Monday evening. Which says it all. Will return.

Now I have some time, I can leave more than just a rating. We had a delicious meal. All the food was fresh, beautifully spiced so the flavours were interesting and well-developed, and the naan breads were to die for. There were plenty of interesting options for the veggie in the party to choose from. The staff were friendly and efficient. On the whole, I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will certainly go back if I am ever in Halifax again.
