Al Fresco in Calderdale

My friend and I enjoyed a peaceful break here towards the end of a Saturday afternoon. The service was very good and the tea and cake were delicious. I would like to go back sometime for a lunch or afternoon tea!

Lovely food, got the afternoon tea for two and couldn't even finish it.

What a little gem of a place. Fabulous food and such lovely and kind staff. I cannot recommend this place enough.

A lovely place for lunch, great for gluten free. The food was freshly prepared and very nicely presented. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Highly recommended whether you’re popping in for a brew and cake or want something more substantial there’s something there to tempt!

Had a great lunch here today with my 2 Grandchildren. I would highly recommend!

I KNOW a damned good cup of tea (my gene mix of Irish & Yorkshire combined with Steampunk gives me great credentials in this) and this is highly recommended by me. Husband had a black coffee (An Americano for the cofficionado's) made on a proper machine with fresh ground coffee. The sandwiches are freshly made to order with awesome ingredients & a bread to suit every palate & even GI if you need it. I was full after mine so didn't get to try the cakes this time but I will next time. The menu has hot & cold choices to suit every palate & need. The staff are amazingly friendly and as attentive as you'd want them to be without being at your elbow every second. Hygiene is awesome, yet they welcome Walkers AND DOGS! It's across the road & up a flight of stone steps from The White Lion. Don't miss it on a visit. We'll be back.

Went for afternoon tea, its a lovely little tea room & very friendly, but was a little disappointed with the choice of sandwiches. There was a lot of sandwiches that included cheese but nothing like salmon or prawn or even egg, not even quiches. The jam & cream scones where very nice though.

Very nice coffee and cakes. Staff very friendly will be calling in again.

Warm & friendly cafe serving lovely homemade food

Puzzled by the previous one star review, different folks, different tastes I guess but we live locally, about a 2 minute walk away, and often pop in for coffee and cake and have never had anything other than a warm friendly welcome, great coffee and delicious cake !

I dont know whats with the raving raving reviews but the cake here was very very dry and gritty. And the coffee was definitely not my cuppa....☹

This tearoom behind the farmers market is well worth a visit. A great choice of gluten free options. I was told anything on the menu could be adapted to gluten free. There was choice of cakes, not just the obligatory brownie. You get a warm welcome and chat (if that's what you want)

Oh my goodness! What a delightful gem of a place this is. Had afternoon tea and THE most delicious cakes I have ever eaten-and believe me- I've eaten a LOT of cakes. Thoroughly enjoyable 5🌟 experience.

Amazing food and staff. They cater really well for dietary requirements (we've eaten gluten free and vegan) and their gluten free cakes are beautifully moist and tasty!

Gorgeous little place & friendly

Came to a Hebden Bridge with friends on bank holiday last week. We happened across this delightful tea room and it did not disappoint. Family run business and nothing was too much trouble, service was perfect and everything we ate was delicious including cheese on toast and “the best coffee walnut cake” my friend proclaimed and she is an accomplished baker. Highly recommend.

Came here with my mum today as her birthday treat. What a lovely little place. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and you can tell they genuinely want you to enjoy the experience. I chose here as it provides award winning afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. Delicious cakes!! Highly recommended and well worth 5 stars. Thank you!!

Best homemade cakes and bakes I have ever experienced! Do not come here if you are on a diet.. you will not be able to refuse.. In fact, life is too short, eat the cake! :) Fantastic place to visit for food, coffee/tea and cakes and the best bit for me are the vast amounts of GLUTEN FREE options!! Baby friendly too. Lovely couple who own the place.

Amazing plum and apricot scones!

Lovely place! We had the afternoon tea which was all freshly prepared we even changed some of the options (no problem at all) the owners are so lovely!! The ham was excellent as was the bread, I think the scone was the highlight cherry and almond just delicious and we got 2 big cakes each ...also very tasty :) we had some left overs and the owners went out of there way to find us a box for our scone so it wouldn't get squished! You must try!

Tasty food and friendly efficient service.

I was really impressed with love grows tea rooms. The environment was very welcoming and the staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us with our order. We asked what they recommended from the menu and they adapted it to meet our vegetarian needs which we really appreciate. Would definitely recommend to others!

Wonderful afternoon tea in a very welcoming arty setting. Everything freshly homemade, thoroughly enjoyed.

We went to these tea rooms for a hen party on Saturday - The couple that own the place are amazing; so friendly and knowledgeable - They even allowed us to have a little prosecco! All of us said that is was the best afternoon tea we have eaten (tastier than Betty’s of Harrogate!) Next time I am back from the USA I will be sure to make a trip! Thank you!

Great place for food and a gluten free menu option. Food cooked fresh so a bit of a wait but worth it. Friendly staff. Floor slopes quite a lot which was quite interesting. Dogs allowed but not sure this is appropriate in a small cafe like this. Steps up to place may put some off.

Gorgeous little cafe in Hebden Bridge. Delicious, truly homemade cakes and sandwiches. Haven't tried the other food but I'm sure it's equally as good. Great coffees and teas. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming.

A lovely little cafe, with really friendly staff. I highly recommend the croque madame - ham and cheese on toast with poached eggs, side salad and fabulous plum and ginger chutney. Worth every penny, and will definitely be going back for more.

Just back from Hebden Bridge where we sat and had afternoon tea at Lovegrows Tearooms. Afternoon tea is to be savoured. It helps us to slow down in this ridiculously busy world, so we sat and we talked and we anticipated and we got fabulous sandwiches, cake, scones, and tea and the kind of warm welcome from the owners which seems so rare these days. Great stuff Mike & Moira. See you again soon!

Very nice, everything is cooked to order never precooked and they use good quality produce, it makes all the difference, highly recommended.

La comida es muy buena, pero puede ser muy lento. . .Ha sido varias veces donde im defendió 20 minutos esperando mi sandwich después de colocar mi pedido.La propietaria significa bien y trabaja muy duro, pero necesita tener el más rápido disponible artículos de desayuno común en horas punta.

Having visited before I knew what to expect again extremely friendly fast and efficient service... The five fruit scone was a revelation.. cannot recommend this cafe enough x

Muy fácil para mí para recomendar al fresco para bocadillos calientes de lunes a viernes. Me gusta desayuno desde aquí cuando puedo, probablemente una vez a la semana recientemente.El menú de bocadillos es buena y solicitar cualquier combinación es precisa la sesión y producidos a la orden. La salchicha de cerdo es generoso en una empanada hechas a mano, o salchichas Cumberland.Tuve un sándwich y hoy té. El té es generoso y viene con dos bolsitas para un rápido y fuerte cerveza.Huevos, tocino, morcilla y todas las opciones habituales todo de buena calidad. Aderezos como solicitado.Es raro tener carne de calidad como este y por ello es uno de los mejores desayunos que he encontrado en Calderdale.Hay veces ocupado, pero la calidad es la pena la espera. Colocar una orden teléfono antes reduce la espera en las horas punta.

Nice food and V friendly Not so nice upstairs so grab a table at the counter.

Lovely cafe just out of the centre, round the corner, up some steps but well worth seeking out. Good service with a pretty decent choice of sandwiches and some hot light meals freshly prepared. A good choice of excellent home made cakes and speciality breads. We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea.Very friendly owners. Cash only, I think.

Fantastic food, great coffee and warm, friendly service. My only complaint would be the ceilings are a bit low but, seeing as I'll be making this a regular haunt, they might need to widen the doors first!

A hidden gem of Hebden Bridge. A lovely cosy tearoom with friendly owners serving a good wholesome selection of hot and cold food all freshly made/cooked. Fabulous cakes all made in house. Dogs are welcome too. Love Grows is a regular favorite.

Great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

I am only giving an average rating as was disappointed by my bacon and egg sandwich. It had 3 bits of bacon and egg was fried but lacked any real flavour. Was well priced.

Lovely food, catering for a range of dietary needs. Staff were friendly and very helpful and it is dog friendly. Bit too pricey compared to other places in Hebden so not 5 stars.
