Codlicious in Fenland

Always great and fresh 5 star. Firstly I would like to say the fact that I am leaving a review speak volumes. I am so impressed with the quality of food I always received from Codlicious. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and food is perfect. Everything is always made to order from what I can see and you can tell in the taste. Also as far as I’m aware they are the only ones that are on Uber eats which is an easy to use app so you can either collect it in 10-20mins or have it delivered. Can’t recommend Codlicious enough, give them a try. 👍😊

We could not finish the food. The chips were hard and the sausages were very greasy and fatty not pleasant at all.

Best chippy around here by far. Good Size portions, not too greasy, delivery was quick about 20 mins before it was due. Cannot fault them at all.

What a great plaice! ( pardon the pun). Had never been here before, but I will definitely go there again. I went in and put in my order. Then, I was told there would be a short wait. No problems as that meant the food would be freshly cooked. I was then asked if I was travelling by car. I said yes. The best thing was I was asked if I wanted to wait in my car until my order was done and it would be brought to me!! Wow, I've never had that before!! I agreed sounded great! I didn't have that long to wait and my food was delivered to my door. All nicely packaged in a fancy carrying bag. When I got back, I found the meals were all in individual boxes and looked amazing. And it was. They must be the best chips I've had from a fish n chip shop in ages. They were thick and tasty and done to perfection. The fish was great too. However the only let down was the thickness of the fish and it had skin on. I don't like skin on fish. I guess I should of mentioned that when ordering. I wasted one side of the fish because I had to remove the skin. A real shame really because everything else was superb. I will return buy next time I will ask for the skin to be removed. As said, though, the fish was on the slender side. Wonder if there would be much fish if there was no skin? Overall though it was a really tasty and delicious meal had by us all.

Excellent, the delving driver was very helpful and even moved my wheelie bin to a safe location for me.

2wks ago and 11/11/ ordered cod and chips, cod £8 extremely thin fillets the chips had been reheated very crunchy and totally unedible all this for £23. Avoid!!!

Don’t like normally like these types of chips, but from here they blew my mind. So good 👍🏼

We spend on average £60 a week with codilicious (family takeaway night). The last 2 orders have been awful. The chips are dry and too crunchy to bite and have been thrown away. I contacted codilicious and gave them the info they asked for and have heard nothing since. I’m all for supporting local businesses and have done so for months but feel let down that they could not even try to resolve the issues. Unfortunately we won’t be using them again.

Chips were dry and crunchy all the way through, curry sauce like water, and the fish was tiny for what’s considered a regular, very disappointed and wouldn’t waste my money again

Wow, what a great service, so quick although we do live 5 mins drive from the restaurant. Regular cod was big and delicious 😋 I like my chips on the softer side but they were still good. My husband loved them so it just comes down to preference.

Really lovely food. This is the third time we have had a meal from Codalicious and we will definitely treat ourselves to another meal from them. Highly recommended. Delivery staff are always very curteous and friendly too.

I like old fashioned fish and chips, with bubbly batter and dripping oil so this place is not for me. Tiny portions and thin cod with no flavor,batter was so thin and dry that along with the thin flesh it tasted like a shop bought,same size too. Disappointed

The order Saturday night was very dissapointing . The batter was soggy the fish had an unpleasant taste. The mushy peas were watery . All other orders have been spot on but this really was dissapointing .

Food was a little cold, which our microwave soon had it all piping hot..appart from that all good.

The new boxes that are being used leave a horrible flavour on your food, very chemically, foods usually fantastic but boxes ruin it sorry

Although missing x2 mushy peas on the order, agreed this will be covered on the next order as we use them regularly. They did offer to get some out to us, but food had already been started by hungry kids so it wouldve been too late to return. Food was good.

Perfectly cooked Scampi and the chips were spot on. It’s the third time I have had delivery and the third time that not only did they do it on time, the food was hot too.

This has to be the best fish and chips in the town. Hot, delicious and most importantly, it is not greasy at all. And they spend loads on their packaging. Top quality, decent guys.

Very watery curry sauce, chips were OK, pie had a soggy bottom and chewy top, and no seasoning to the fish so was very bland

Chips tasted soggy and old as well as a funny green colour ordered a pie only to have the food show up no pie claimed they phoned when they didnt would of been good for them to substitute it with another pie… such a shame as normally really amazing now have one hungry person.

Usually of a higher quality and standard. Some really bad green coloured lukewarm chips. Fish was nice though. Hopefully when giving it one last try, it will be an improvement to encourage us to continue to use in the future.

Always very fresh hot food delivered quick

Sadly the fish and chips were cold and soggy. The gravy and peas both cold. The fish cakes were hot though. Such a shame. It would also help to put the fish on a piece of greaseproof paper before putting it on the chips so it’s easier to remove in one piece to either put on a plate or just to season the chips before sliding it back in the box. The box was soggy too. I hate moaning. I just think you’re so much better than this.

Batter on the fish was oily and didn’t taste as it was cooked properly. Chips , some were black . Not very hot , when delivered

You advertise free delivery but you charged me, whys that.

Extremely Dissapointed Goes to show how very little return custom is respected in this country, we had a takeaway from this place at least 3 to 4 times a month , always looking forward to it... until today, we ordered a large meal for the whole family, food arrived cold accompanied by a disgusting foul taste of old oil seeping trough the fish, first mouthful made me genuinely sick, my partner called to complain, l didn't want another portion of food coming from there after feeling ill by just tasting the first batch, l wanted a refund, well forget about that no refunds... Its an absolute joke when it comes to customer rights actually... I spent £26 on food that went all in the bin, this was our once a weak treat that already was costing quite a lot l guess if they don't care about return customers we won't ever order our food there again.

The food is always hot and the chip portions are large. The batter on the fish is light and the chips are crispy

The chips were a bit scrappy this time and the tartar sauce was cheap. I guess with the effort made with the packaging and attention to detail, I expected a better quality tartar sauce. The burger was lovely but soggy as in a poly box. I will however order again because the quality and service is usually pretty much perfect.

First time we have tried them after seeing people recommend them on March Discussion page. Will 100% order again!
